  1. That's what you get when you get the GP to design a coaster . Hanno, love that pic of the Bullet Coaster! I can't believe I haven't been on a coaster in nearly two months now... I need to get back to a park before the season is over!
  2. ^Not sure about Cedar Point, but SFA's haven't gone out yet.
  3. I can see the kinks in the Skyloop from my computer... May even be worse than those death-traps that they call a suspended coaster!
  4. Will they send out all the acceptions at once or just whenever they feel like it?
  5. Nice to see progress in the new area of the park! The whole are looks fantastic, much better than the old area that was there... Was never really a fan. Great report!
  6. Quirky parks are all over China, it seems! It's a good thing that Disney doesn't have Apple's legal team. Awesome trip report!
  7. It looks fine from a distance, but then you see how fast the roll is, and remember this is China... Well, at least Happy Valley parks get the real deal!
  8. Century used to thrill riders in peace; but everything changed when the oblivious-to-their-surroundings arrived. Interesting plot to the park! Please continue this park and keep Century!
  9. I love these pictures! It makes Cedar Point look even better than it does now! Keep it up!
  10. So, today in school I was telling my science teacher about Outlaw Run (SDC). This is how the conversation went: Me: Did you know that a coaster company is building a wooden roller coaster that goes upside-down in Missouri? Teacher: Really? I thought that was impossible! Me: Well, it's been tried before, and failed terribly, but this time I think it will be a huge success! Teacher: But a wooden structure can't properly support a vertical loop, right? Well, I wouldn't want to be on the first run of that ride, I don't think the G-forces could allow anyone to live... Me: Oh, no, it only does a couple of barrel rolls. Teacher: Why did you get my hopes up? Barrel rolls aren't inversions. Me: -Walks away, chuckling to my self- Note, this was my SCIENCE teacher. Brilliant education system we got here, America.
  11. Apple will probably sue them . But, hey, it's better than trying to be Pinfari, right?
  12. Didn't Hershey say the last thing they wanted to do was to add OTSRs or trims to Skyrush?
  13. This looks like a solid addition to an already great line-up! It's long and has inversions AND airtime (I'm looking at you SFMM) to please the enthusiasts and the general public. I hope I get to ride this thing!
  14. ...Too busy worrying that there weren't enough trash cans at the park. Because of this neglect, the ride fell apart, so it was bought by Six Flags and named...
  15. ...the combo was broken and Cedar Fair decided to attempt to theme a ride for once. This ride was a huge success, but the ride was ruined by the name "Laser Snake Thunder Flight Hawk Deck Stunt of Steel on Fire," so the Cedar Fair management changed the name to...
  16. I love the ride. It just has a certain feel to it that I just can't put my finger on, but I like it. Continue on!
  17. Hmm, I wonder what ride inspired this one? Looks good so far. The inversion reminds me of an Arrow ride and not a Gerstlauer, but it may not even be a Gerstlauer. Looks very nice so far, just make the buildings have some class.
  18. Yes please, I'm tired of this madness (which I may have contributed to a little...). Some people like it, some don't, that's it. Problem solved. Thread can be closed now.
  19. Shouka in '04 You're welcome. You're welcome. I thought the only reason the park was still here was because Dan Snider wanted to have a property in a close proximity to the Redskins, as he also owns (or owned) them along with Six Flags. Also, when I visited for the first time in 2010, every employee was amazing. I barely made the height requirement for the 54" rides, and I was delivered a high five every time I made the requirement. They were all enthusiastic, and because I only was one of about thirty other visitors to the park, they weren't stressed from the crowds, and did an awesome job. The employees there alone made that one of my best visits to an amusement park ever. Many other people that I know love the place, and because of how successful it is with the locals, I think it was an fine idea to make it a more well-rounded park. They have a nice balance of coasters and flats, they care about their kids areas, they have some very nicely themed areas (and some not), and they keep their classics and don't keep rides for the sake of having rides. Even their SLC is well cared for, and it is smooth enough for the GP to eat it up. Sure, they haven't gotten a "new" ride in a while, but once they hauled Iron Wolf-pocalypse over here, people have been returning to the park, and it has definitely been improving. This park very good for what it is, and if you're bashing the park because it's not the next Cedar Point or Universal Studios, then you can leave it alone, because it's a good park, and there's no way to deny it, unless you had a terrible experience there. But give the place a chance, and if you want it to be the Cedar Point of Maryland, then you can go bash some other park. But this is a local park, not a worldwide destination. This is a decent park, despite what some PTR's say, so if you don't like it based off a couple of pictures, then don't visit this park and bash one that you've been too, maybe Cedar Point. But leave this park alone if you've never experienced it for yourself.
  20. You have to remember that was the one with the most malfunctions... Maybe that's why the Cedar Point one is open now and Knott's isn't. One small footer for the coaster, one giant leap for the coaster capital. Glad to see construction has already started!
  21. And accidentally destroyed Millennium Force on his way over, causing an outrage among Cedar Point fans, who used to live in harmony...
  22. Oh holy and amazing Title Fairy, may you please grant me the title of "HI BILLY MAYS HERE WITH A SPECIAL TPR OFFER." Thank you oh glorious and perfect Title Fairy.
  23. Wheelie hasn't gone anywhere - perhaps you misread his post. I meant sometime in 2013 or 2014, after they put in the Sky Sleeper.
  24. China looks like a fun place... unless, of course, you don't like knock-off's doing things to your body. Great report!
  25. That looks like a fun ride! Too bad it was a maintenance nightmare... It looks like it would have a chance to have topped Eagle Fortress.
