Looks like it's going to be a cooler Christmas (again!) this year . Last Christmas, it snowed in some parts of Melbourne, which is absolutely incredible (It doesn't even snow here in winter!). There was some more flash flooding the other day, i actually got some pretty good shots of our street about a foot underwater. It was absolutely nuts!

Why would Vekoma make it anyway? I don't understand. Besides, newer vekoma rides are apparently "Smooth".

Wow, we have a 3rd wooden Wild mouse, and i didn't even know about it! What's so great about them anyway?

Arrow for sure. Vekoma's newer rides are apparently decent, SLC's aren't that bad, and Cyclone (arrow at dreamworld) is easily the roughest ride i have ever been on.

It just started pouring about 1 minute ago. Really windy, with some thunder and lightning to. It's dieing down now though. Yesterday however, there was flash flooding all through the city, as well as lightning (Really close to my house as well!) and hail. I'm really surprised actually, this is the kind of weather we missed in October.

Well, for a start, there isn't any 500' coasters, so i don't think this is something that really you should worry about. But, i would say it would be called a Mesocoaster.

I didn't know that, so i know think that yes, they were right to call the cops. We deal with this sort of stuff differently here, so i didn't know it was against the law.

I can understand why the teachers may have been alarmed (Some kid here brought in a knife and tried to kill someone), but still they should have just confiscated it and dealt with the girl themselves rather than call the police if they were that worried about it.

Well to be honest, I'm not much of a fan of Intamin, i thought Rita and Tornado (Parque De Attracionnes) especially were pretty rough, and i didn't enjoy them that much, compared to the B&M's i have been on: Dragon khan, Sliver Star, Nemesis, Air (well, air is pretty boring, but that's not B&M's fault) and Oblivion. So my vote goes with them.

What's up with all the Tony Hawk themed rides? Six Flags should do more research, and install a Vekoma Big Air if they want a skateboarding themed ride. Or, an actual skate park.

How about Far Eastern Russia (Kamchatka region). You will be much less homesick, being so close to Alaska. It will be really cheap, plus you wouldn't have many problems with language, as you wouldn't have much Human interaction because most of far eastern Russia is deserted.

Strange. It was pouring with rain on the weekend, before that it was boiling hot (37-38), and now it's in the high 20's, low 30's (Celsius, that is).

Make sure at Movieworld, you eat at the Nacho place, i think it's name has something to do with Clint Eastwood. As for Dreamworld, the food there is pretty crap, as it is at Wet and Wild. It's also a good idea to ride superman at around Lunchtime, during the parade, or during the stunt show, as it is much quieter. Have a great trip! Oh, and at dreamworld, the park will open around half an hour before any of the rides do, so be prepared to wait around a while when the park gates open. And also, there are restraints on the Rapids rides and on the Enterprise, which is quite strange.
