Yes, Goliath did have fog. And it isn't turned off entirely...occasionally I still ride through it. It's just sort of sporadic. It is a nice effect, though, and I wish they'd have it on more often. Eric

I hope Jay and/or Neal are going to be at the park for at least a little while. It'd be nice to greet them and say thanks for the event and for all they've done. SFMM isn't THE WORLD'S GREATEST THEME PARK IN THE WORLD, but it's come a long way from where it was, and it's due to the efforts of Jay and Neal and their staff. Eric

I think all they've done publicity-wise is send out e-mails to their season passholders. That's all I've seen about the event. But I do greatly appreciate them doing this. It's been awhile since they've done such a thing. Eric

As a big fan of Arrow suspended coasters, I'm ashamed to say that I never got to ride Big Bad Wolf and any other one except Ninja. I really hope that some other manufacturer is willing to resurrect this concept as more and more of these coasters disappear. Despite being called an "engineering nightmare," it can be done. Eric

Generally speaking, SFMM begins daily operatiion about the first week of Spring Break, whenever that is---usually late March. Labor Day weekend (now) is the last of daily operation. At one time, SFMM was open daily from about February through October, but has been cut back in recent years. Eric

^^ SFMM is closed to the public that day, but it is open from 4pm till 10pm for season passholders and their friends (who either need a pass or a coupon from the booklet to get in for a reduced price). My guess is that most attractions will be open, though perhaps only selected food/merchandise outlets will be. I wouldn't call the event "ERT," but with attendance limited, lines may not be as long as normal, so you can probably get more rides in. Eric

But if there is any possible chance of a brushfire in the area, the fire will be turned off (and at X2 as well). Nice report, too. Eric
