  1. You betcha. Lindt 90% cocoa = heaven. Are you going to West Coast Bash next year?
  2. ^ Not if they're wimpy divers. I got a certified letter yesterday from USPS (the post office). They're supposed to deliver those and get a signature, and if no one's home, try again the next day. Our doorbell works sort of iffy, and apparently wasn't working when the letter was delivered. However, the carrier didn't even try knocking. I was home when he came by, so I would have heard that. Diana came inside and asked if I'd been anywhere because there was the notice on the door. Unfortunately, it's something from my mortgage lender and I have a feeling that it is NOT good news when they're sending me a certified letter. Eric
  3. If you've never been to SFStL, then go to SFStL. Then you can compare the two parks yourself. I've not been to either one, but they both look like good parks. Eric
  4. The peanut butter I eat is the Laura Scudder's Natural. Peanuts and salt---that's it! No hydrogenated crap or trans fats and such. Eric
  5. ^ Roots in Canadia. < Roots in Scotland, Ireland. V Roots in driveway---now has four flat tires!
  6. I made a cheeseburger with bison meat and cooked it medium rare. Good stuff! Eric
  7. While I have not ridden a THBS, I've always thought one would be a good fit for SFMM, and was hopeful that one would appear there. But then, the rumored former SFNO Roller Skater or anything smallish will work, too. Now I'm getting antsy as to what color scheme this ride will have and what they'll call it. Eric
  8. ^ Loves apple pie. < Does understand pi. V Knows how to get pie-eyed!
  9. ^^ I was told a long time ago that UPS drivers are paid for an eight-hour shift and given enough packages to deliver in that time. If they can deliver them in less time, then they are done for the day, and still get paid for the full eight hours worked. That was the incentive to speed them up. I don't know if they still run it this way, but it wouldn't surprise me. Eric
  10. Any more info on The Coaster for 2010? Eric
  11. ^ Because if everyone isn't e-mailing you, they're putting you into a caption... Eric
  12. ^ Even without the racial overtones, that song sucks. Just saying... Eric
  13. For a first attempt at making a shoe, that was a darned good one. If you aren't already, it's time for you to get into business doing this. Eric
  14. This sounds like a damned good deal. Hopefully I'll be able to attend the event this time. It's been over ten years since I was at either park, so I have a lot of catching up to do. Eric
  15. Peanut butter on crackers. As long as it's the natural kind on whole wheat crackers. That's less unhealthy. Eric
  16. I have not ridden either Raven or Voyager, but from my experience with what I have ridden, sometimes the smaller rides are just more fun. More intensity doesn't always mean more enjoyment. Eric
  17. ^ Maybe they should call those "Mari-boros." Eric
  18. Once everything is done in a few years, will DCA be eligible to be considered a "world class park" or just a mediocre park with some upgrades? From what I've seen so far, I like what Disney is doing there. Eric
  19. ^ If he has tenure, then don't count on it. It's extremely difficult to get any teacher/professor disciplined for how they handle their classes. It's your word against theirs. And guess who wins? Eric
  20. Lunch for Diana and myself at the new Johnny Rockets in Camarillo: $27.13 + $5 tip. Eric
  21. ^ Coaster Cow---must have a beef with coasters. < EBL---must eat a lot of alphabet soup. V Mystery poster---must lurk in the walls with the cockroaches!
  22. "...though the angle of the picture is looking NE..." (Bolliger&Mabillard) Actually, the picture that WFChris posted is looking almost due south. This is why I've pointed out that the new coaster going in next to Deja Vu is actually in the southwest corner of the park, not the northwest corner that the various news articles and SFMM website say. But I'm just getting nit picky. Eric
  23. ^ Names her game. < Names his price. V Names his soap!
  24. ^ Not the greatest surroundings, but a lot better than being surrounded by the city like at Knott's or even Disneyland. But you don't see this when you're at the park---at least not till you get high enough on a ride or in the Sky Tower. Eric
  25. ^ Good for you and keep up the good work. And in your case, getting straight As while battling cancer gets you extra kudos from me. Eric
