  1. ^ Thanks for answering Eric's question, Eric. Eric
  2. ^ Staying away from a Ferrari = smart. Yeah, they're cool and all, but you are better off with stuff from across the Pacific. <--- Owner of a 2002 Honda CR-V that runs like new. Eric
  3. Here is a really stupid question from the Technically Challenged Dept.: Regular DVD players can play regular DVDs, but not Blu-Ray DVDs. But can Blu-Ray DVD players play any kind of DVDs, and if so, once you play a regular DVD in a Blu-Ray one, can it be played in a regular DVD player or has it been "upgraded"? Eric
  4. On the flip side of this, one time at SFMM, my daughter wanted to ride Gold Rusher, so she walked over to the height limit sign to measure herself. She noticed that she was about a half-inch too short and stepped away, saying "No, I'm too short to ride." And that was that. Parents who do this are a disgrace. Eric
  5. I was also going to comment on how the bar seems like it should be longer to cover more of the rider's body, but being a prototype, they can always make adjustments to it. Eric
  6. ^ If Home Depot did carry those parts, they'd be from China. Do we want Chinese made replacement parts on this ride? No... I will wait for the real thing and for the repairs to be made correctly. Eric
  7. I guess what I'm most confused about is why SFMM hasn't even announced any details yet. We've heard rumors all over the place that the new ride is the relocated Roller Skater from SFNO, but unless I've missed something, I've seen no actual confirmation of that. That ride certainly makes sense from a "family" standpoint. Maybe we'll hear something definite at WCB. Eric
  8. For those wondering, as of yesterday, the site of SFMM's new coaster is still...dirt. Eric
  9. I took yet another of my unplanned trips out to SFMM today. The first lot was just over half full, so I figured the park wouldn't be too crowded. Sure enough, as Elissa mentioned before, Ninja, X2, Deja Vu, Scream!, and Superman were closed. During my four-hour visit, I got the following done: Tatsu - 2 rides. Batman - 2 rides. Terminator - 4 rides. Riddler - 1 ride. Goliath - 1 ride. Revolution - 1 ride. Viper - 1 ride. None of the wait times exceeded ten minutes; in fact, most were walk-ons and Batman and Terminator were re-rides without getting out. The park closed at 7pm, but I was out by 6:30. Eric
  10. Because some are cool, and some blow hot air. Why are ZIP Codes only five digits, but phone numbers are seven digits?
  11. I saw it when it was originally in theaters...in 1964. Do you like Oreos?
  12. Yep. Too many times, in fact. Do you take note of whether a plastic product has a recycling triangle on it so you can recycle it?
  13. ^ Lady. < Gentleman. V The jury's still out!
  14. Today's rant: When people you thought liked you "defriend" you on Facebook. I've had it happen a few times---I don't lose sleep over it, but it does make you wonder what you might have said on there. Eric
  15. I've ridden a Chance Toboggan. The only bad part in my opinion is the series of bunny hops at the end. This ride doesn't look like it has anything like that. Also, the Toboggan cars are enclosed, which means that your head has something to bounce off of. But this ride looks sort of fun, so I'd probably ride it. Eric
  16. I wonder what that ride's name is? Eric
  17. I saw this and considered it a "crud"it. Thanks, but I'll watch from a distance... Eric
  18. ^ That's a good idea on SFMM's part. Batman--The Ride was announced in September 1993, six months before it actually opened, and I was really excited for it, as it was my first inverted coaster. Eric
  19. I like the "ONLINE" banner across the corner of a person's avatar to indicate that they are currently online. Also, I thought our user names would be bigger, but that's not an issue. Otherwise, the new board looks nice! Eric
  20. ^ Wishes he was from Canadia. < Drinks plenty of diet soda. V Drinks plenty of radiator coolant!
  21. I wouldn't even count on hearing a word about SFMM's plans for 2011 till this fall, unless, of course we see anything that looks like ground clearing or construction markers. Eric
  22. ^ The regulars know what SFMM has done in the past. I can't even imagine what could could top that. Eric
  23. Great to see that SFMM had a change of heart and will be open on Super Bowl Sunday! I think I know what my plans are for that day. Eric
  24. The weather today was so bad that it rained on my parade---and there wasn't even a parade... Eric
  25. ^ Bristolian. < Californian. V Barbarian!
