  1. ^ I noticed the seats jerking from the top of the lift and throughout the ride. However, that may be due to there not being any weight in them. Maybe once riders are on the trains it'll smooth out a bit. Eric
  2. ^ Needs coffee. < Despises coffee. V Needs help!
  3. ^ Thanks, Joey. I really hope this turns up. Eric
  4. I still can't believe that I almost passed this up. It was great seeing some of my longtime friends and enjoying a great day at SFMM. It's funny how many of us hav bashed this park over the years, but if things keep going the way they've been during the past year, there won't be anything left to bash. It's easy to make the assumption that Jay, Neal, Tim, and everyone on staff at the park are just "wowing us" only to let us down later, but I really feel like this team "gets it" and realizes that SFMM can be quite the goldmine. Thanks so much to Chris, Robb, and everyone at SFMM for a great day. Eric
  5. ^ Nice meeting up with you in the Sky Tower Museum. They really did a nice job with that, and everyone associated with it deserves eternal kudoes. Eric
  6. Any TPR staff member may move this if necessary, but I just wanted to put out a call to anyone who may have accidentally acquired a Canon A720 digital camera. The last place I remember having it was at Superman--The Escape during morning ERT. Right after that, I went to Tatsu, which is where I noticed I didn't have it anymore. Just prior to that I was hanging out at Katy's Kettle, but I don't remember setting it down for any reason. The camera was in a small, black Lowenpro case along with a pair of AA batteries and I think an SD card or two. If anyone may know the whereabouts of my camera, please PM me so I can get it back. Thank you so much. Eric
  7. ^^ I believe you're correct. Of course, remember that Deja Vu and SLCs are made by our favorite coaster manufacturer... Eric
  8. ^ You'll change your tune someday. When I was 12, I had the same attitude. Eric
  9. You under-20 types who proclaim to be lifelong singles haven't a clue. I never had a serious relationship till I was past 20 because I was busy getting my education and figuring out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Give yourselves some time, and someone will come into your life if you allow it. Eric
  10. Whoever took the time to make up that website could surely use a hobby. A real one. Eric
  11. Oil change, gas, and car wash for Diana's car. About $70 worth. Gas is $3.75/gallon around here, too. Eric
  12. ^ Wanted to study bugs. < See? Knew what that was. V See? Running naked down the street!
  13. Too bad SFMM didn't send any Flashback track for the baboons to play on! That would have made good use of it. Eric
  14. ^ Square root of 45693459347 is 213760.284774 (rounded off) < Ate bacon today. V Ate his shorts today!
  15. No, but I want to take one someday. Do you like Daylight Saving Time?
  16. SFMM had one of the six-arm, four-car Monster rides at one time. The original one was called "Billy the Squid," and they got a different one later and called it "Jolly Monster." This was located right about where the giant GOLIATH letters are now at the entrance to that ride. I usually took at least one ride on Billy the Squid/Jolly Monster during my visits. It was a lot of fun with some great airtime. The only downside was a horrendously long load/unload cycle. Eric
  17. The only rides that I know of with maximum height limits are Deja Vu (now only the SFMM one is left), and the Intamin rocket coasters (because of being taller than the headrest). Of course, some kiddie rides have such limits just to keep the adults off! Eric
  18. In all honesty, a good training program would work just fine for anyone 16 or 18 years old. How many 16-year-olds work in fast food, at family fun centers, etc.? Proper training = Reliable employee At any age... Eric
  19. If X2 ends up being as smooth and an improvement over the original X as planned, maybe the name of "X2-C" might be considered. (HINT: Say that fast.) Eric
  20. In a rare serious moment, I just want to say that surprise or no surprise, we're getting one hell of an event. This will be a day to enjoy and remember for years to come. SFMM doesn't have to do this, but they are anyway. I really hope that Jay, Tim, and everyone else have to spend the entire week doing nothing but reading all of the e-mails thanking them that should come from each person who attends. Heck, even Robb and Chris deserve them, too, for putting this on. Eric
  21. ^^ Agreed. A flume would work very well there. The two coasters they have are...OK, but a good family coaster would round out the ride package nicely. Something unique would be ideal. I've only been to the park once (2004), but I've always wanted to go back and bring Diana. She'd get a kick out of it. Eric
  22. I'll bet they're just now battering the chicken I'm gonna eat at Chick-Fil-A later on... Eric
  23. Excited, no, but would like to FINALLY get to a game this year after talking about it for...forever. Would you want to live near railroad tracks?
  24. To make sure you don't join ACE!!! Why doesn't B&M build light rail trains?
  25. It's rather...jolly, but it's OK. I guess that's sort of a yes. Have you ever been listening to the radio and had an ad for a business come on just as you were passing that business?
