  1. I have a calculator that can figure dates up to December 31, 2099. And I got that in 1980. Who'd have figured that 87 years' worth of its calendar would have been a total waste? Eric
  2. I had an extra sausage patty for breakfast yesterday. Eric
  3. Since I've never been to the Northeast or Canadia, I'll say...no. Have you ever had jury duty?
  4. ^ California ain't so great right now, either. I'm between jobs and whenver I do find something, it's usually short-lived. Eric
  5. ^ Who says SFA deserves a coaster more than SFMM? "...at a park I've never been to...nor will ever go to just because I'm completely at the other end of the country" (Coasterlicious) I thought that at one time about Walt Disney World, but I did finally go there---at age 42. And I went back once again at age 47. You'll get out here if you save for it and make plans. You'll be glad you did. Eric
  6. I believe the trains will remain pretty much as you see them. Putting covers on them increases their weight, which defeats the purpose. To me, they look just fine like that. Perhaps a black coating/anodize would look nice, too, and not add any weight. Eric
  7. ^^ FYI, it's about 350 miles. I know it won't happen (it isn't SFMM's style), but a nice indoor family coaster would be great. So different---and no one close by has anything like that. Eric
  8. "Have one day per month be 'adults only' day, where you had to be at least 21 years old to get in." (texcoaster) Who says anyone over 21 is automatically mature? I've seen some stuff pulled by "adults" that makes what the teens do look like nothing---especially when you throw some alcohol into the mix. Eric
  9. ^ Likes Jughead. < Likes pizza but doesn't eat of it much anymore. V Likes pants but doesn't wear 'em much anymore!
  10. The article said that a location has been selected, but not made public. My own guess is that it'll be in or near where Psyclone was. I would have said it would go where Circus Wheel was, but that area has already been dedicated to a basketball game. I'm looking forward to seeing what this ride is. Perhaps we'll find out more at West Coast Bash. Eric
  11. ^ Is there something about Pennsylvania that you're keeping from us? Seriously, I would think that Knoebels would price themselves comparably to the local economy as other parks do. For instance, SFMM has always been more expensive than, say, Six Flags Over Texas or Six Flags St. Louis because prices out here in California tend to be higher in most areas. It is true that I don't live in Pennsylvania, but that doesn't "diminish the validity of my opinion," unless, as I said before, there's some mystery about the area. Eric
  12. ^ Your friends will be sorry. I'm sure there will be some free time during the day, even though there is a lot going on as well. And I think you can get a parking pass add-on to a regular season pass. I got the Xtreme Play Pass, so parking is already included. Eric
  13. ^ That depends...do buses run on your street? Am I driving it? [evil laugh] Is your time on Earth up yet? Eric
  14. "$2.50 for a ride that's 25 seconds from the second lift to the main brakes" (Jim S.) I'd pay that. How much is Manhattan Express these days? $10? $12? And that ride isn't longer than about two or three minutes, is it? (I rode a long time ago, so I don't recall.) Desperado at Buffalo Bill's is at least $6---at least it was the last time I was there. All that said, $2.50 is a bargain for a classic ride experience. Eric
  15. ^ Of course by then I'll have a Honda S2000,000,000 and point it skyward to escape when the heat comes up. Eric
  16. No. In my opinion, it should go up, along with the smoking age. Too much misuse and abuse of alcohol. [/sermon] Should botanists work to develop other colors of bananas?
  17. ^ Even future Disney employees get sick. Hope you feel better, and good luck on the interview. Meanwhile, EBL was checking out TPR when all of a sudden there was a noise on the roof. After running outside, he was surprised to learn that a raccoon family had set up their new home on his roof. Well, that's not gonna fly... So a fight ensued and in the end, a peaceful settlement was reached. Raccoons will not live on EBL's roof, and EBL will not taunt them with rocks, cheese, or waffles. ---Report courtesy of your local news channel Eric
  18. "Crocs, these disgusting 'shoes' should be banned" (downunder) Crocs are a crock. And they should ban Heelys while they're at it. Today, I feel like crap. Yesterday was my last day on my new job of only two weeks (long story), but there's some hope for something else from the recruiter. Eric
  19. ^ The delay is frustrating, but I'd rather have Knoebels work out the bugs now and make sure everything's a go instead of opening what people may write off as a "POS." Eric
  20. ^ I believe you're correct about Intamin building Magic Mountain's Galaxy, which I rode a number of times. Just in case some of you don't know, Galaxy was located where Buccaneer and Swashbuckler are now. Notice that they share a station building and that there were two separate concrete pads there. That was for each side of the wheel to land in order to load and unload. I think SFMM could use a new Ferris wheel-type attraction, in my opinion. And speaking of the Triple Wheel, whatever happened to both of them? Were they scrapped or sold to another park after removal from the Great America Parks? To my knowledge, the only two ever built were the ones for Marriott. Eric
  21. I don't know you, Diablo, but congratulations on your award. You don't win 'em if you don't deserve 'em! Eric
  22. ^ According to Nostra-dumbass, there will be no world in 2012. < According to EBL, it will be business as usual. V According to him, 2012 will bring everyone free bacon every morning!
  23. Sometime waaayyy back in the 20th Century. I just wasn't in the mood to walk five miles uphill in a blinding snowstorm to get to school, then back home five miles uphill in a blinding snowstorm later. When was the last time you ate Jello?
  24. ebl

    X2???

^ And the really stupid among us would call it "X-11." Eric
  25. I slept about five hours. Usually, I need closer to eight or nine. Eric
