  1. Not at this very exact moment, but I'm heading out to get food soon---and nothing goes better with food than a Coke (Diet for me). Did you shake anyone's hand today?
  2. ^ The last time I rode Sandblasters, those cars were movin' m-i-g-h-t-y s-l-o-w-w-w... But my guess is that all of them were just taking a lap around the park. In doing so, however, they'll always have their eyes open. On that note, I did point out to Jay and Neal that a signpost right next to Johnny Rocket's still points to Psyclone---a now long gone attraction. I'll bet that particular sign is painted over or gone ASAP. Sorry I missed you and Kristen, Elissa. It would have been nice to say hi to the both of yous! Today is a happy day...my camera is home and safe! Eric
  3. Sunday, March 9, 2008. When was the last time you got a shot for/of something?
  4. No, they don't allow those within our city limits... Have you been to a funeral recently?
  5. Earlier today, I remembered that when I was a kid, my mom always had a giant doily in the middle of the dining room table. I wonder whatever happened to it? Eric
  6. ^ Slacker. < Will massage feet 23/6---needs a daily lunch hour and a day off each week! V Will massage nose and collect whatever comes out!
  7. I got my camera back. See the post in the Lost Camera thread. Eric
  8. Just wanted to let everyone know that my camera is back in my hands, thanks to Alyssa Imosaki and everyone in Guest Relations. I sent her an e-mail, and two days later she returned one to me saying that the camera "matching my description" was at GR and asked if she could mail it to me or if I wanted to pick it up. It was in fact mine because when I turned it on, Diana's friend Brittany was on the screen. Since I'm off, I went to SFMM and picked it up in person. Unfortunately, Alyssa wasn't in today, but I did run into Jay Thomas and Neal Thurman over by Sandblasters and let them know personally. It just so happened that they were with Mark Shapiro, but he walked on and I didn't get to meet him. Good work, SFMM! Eric BTW: I'm posting this from the new Cyber Cafe. It's really nice to be able to stop and check e-mail, go to TPR, etc.
  9. ^ At one time, three-train operation at Viper was necessary to keep the line moving. It works well, provided guests get into the trains and get their OTSRs down. One train is in the station and leaves as the one before it passes the block brake, and the third one is behind the station and moves in as the one in the station moves out. Eric
  10. We had our computer custom built by the local computer shop. Cost me $1400, but they put the best components in it, and I have an unlimited three-year warranty on everything. It's really worth it. Eric
  11. ^ Wants an iguana. < You mean it isn't 1973? V You mean you ate that on purpose?
  12. Funny thing about SFMM is that you never know where stuff will end up. One time while waiting in line, I noticed an entire Gold Rusher train parked by the building next to Scream's queue. Why it was there was beyond me because it didn't look like anyone was doing anything to it. Eric
  13. It may be a "small world," but it sure had some "big riders!" Eric
  14. ^ If you mean big SUVs, I agree, but my Honda CR-V, though an SUV, is simply a tall Civic and fits in one just fine. Some land yachts (Cadillacs, Crown Victorias, etc.) shouldn't be parking in those, either. Eric
  15. Glad you Floridians are enjoying our DLR here in California. I'm getting the itch to go back down there sometime soon. Believe it or not, it's been almost a year! Eric
  16. "I have a Gateway...It's a couple years old." (astroworldfan1) That's your problem... Eric
  17. ^ They're of the order flowerus stinkus maximus. Hope that helped... "No! I think picky eaters are just that way for the attention. "Hey everyone, look at me, I won't eat that, and that makes me better than you!" (RIP Psyclone) Being a somewhat picky eater myself, I tend to respect others who don't like whatever is plopped before them. Everyone has different tastes. Also, being diabetic, I have to be careful about what and how much I eat. No doubt others have their own reasons, so don't be too quick to judge. Eric
  18. ^ Is orange backstage somewhere...or does it even still exist? Eric
  19. That has the next appointment with SFMM's "cruncher," aka The Machine That Ate Flashback, Sierra Twist, and Spin Out. If I'm broke, can I still write checks?
  20. I'm sure it's definitely in the running. At least I get a good workout there. Should I go up to Jack in the Box and have a pair of tacos?
  21. "My guess is its an Arrow train from another looping coaster in the chain? Not sure if it's been refurbished to look like our Vipers trains, or if its just going to sit there for pieces for a year or so." (PURE) Viper had four trains originally, all green with varying colored stripes---gold, orange, red, and yellow. Of course, only three could be run at one time, and they did for a long time. (Ninja has four trains as well and can run three.) I didn't ride Viper at WCB, so I never did see a tarp covering anything. It's possible that Six Flags has cannibalized equipment from other Arrow multi-element coasters they have in the chain. A good example is the old Shock Wave car from SFGAm that was out in the Psyclone area. Eric
  22. ^ I've ridden Superman--The Escape while it raced. We were filming one of the Discovery Channel shows back in the late '90s. Rather fun, actually. Eric
  23. Diana has a friend out visiting from Iowa, and we may hit the park this weekend. How likely are we to run into Jay and/or Neal randomly walking around? Honestly, I hope we do because I want to tell either or both of them what a bang-up job they're doing. Eric
  24. ^ I am compensating by driving a CR-V---I'm over 40! Eric
  25. I'll take the gun. Then I can point it at you and demand the money! What's the best thing to do when you lock your keys in the car?
