Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
ebl replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
"Don't hesitate to introduce yourself! Even if they look focused, they enjoy feedback of any kind!" (wrs28330) I've run into Jay and Neal in the park, and they've always greeted me with a handshake and a pleasant conversation. And if we walk a bit, they greet random guests. It's funny to see the reaction when two obviously important park officials take a moment to at least say hi, wish them a good day, or ask how they're enjoying their day. Yeah, SFMM has come a ways...a LONNNG way... Eric -
^ You can ask me diabetes related questions if you want. And old age ones, too! Eric "who's older than Jeff Johnson but gets teased less" L. PS: BTW, ideally, your blood sugar reading should be about 100 or so before a meal.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride

It's supposed to be nice this weekend. I'll bet we see a good Terminator update before Monday. I'd like to see the progress myself, but I won't be able to get out to SFMM this weekend. Fortunately, the smaller details like setting up the queue won't take that much time. I'm sure the pre-show buildings are more or less pre-fabricated boxes that'll go up fast. Most likely, whatever show props and sound systems are being designed and built about now. Of course, while all of that's going on, the workers outside will continue to finish the track. Eric -

"Freudian Slip?" (Teacups Make Me Sick) I'm "a-Freud" so! Regarding that chain at the end of the ride, the Big Coaster, a very similar coaster at Wonderland in Amarillo, TX, has something like that at the end. Look at this picture in the lower right hand corner, and you can see the little hill leading down into the station. That's where it is. (I have a picture that I took of it when I was there, but I can't find it right now.) Why would you have/need a chain there? This looks like a nice little park. Sometimes these can be quite fun. ^^ And he's smart for focusing on more important things in his life, like work and having a life outside of Internet forums. Eric

Of course I eat red meat. How do you think I wash down the fiber? I believe you need some red meat in your diet. But I eat more chicken than beef anyway, so I don't worry. Eric

TPR PENS! (Yes, pens!)
ebl replied to Crazy4Coasters!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My brain "storms" at interesting times...a bit off-topic, but I thought of a new TPR item: Sugar free "Dan"dies. For the diabetics among us (well, myself included). And they'll come packaged with a TPR pen. Eric -
Lunch at Del Taco for $2.90 (had a coupon, so that helped). Eric

I will enjoy Terminator regardless of whether it's extensively themed. It looks like a great layout with some good airtime---a sorely needed ride at SFMM. The pre-ride show will just be a bonus. Eric -
Seriously, I just eat about 25-30 grams of fiber a day. Keeps me as regular as three-minute X2 dispatches. Eric

^^ No offense to Robb, but I already smell like...me. That's bad enough. Eric -
^ 11/10. Excellent. Eric

I'll just stick to using soap with aloe vera in it to keep my skin looking young and healthy. There are too many other better tasting things you can consume to keep your innards healthy. Eric

"Yeah that Red-Lettered Pen is a collectors item!" (SharkTums) Of course, that's the one I lost. For whatever reason, I seem to remember seeing one with green writing, which is why I asked about other colors. But I was mistaken. Eric -

As I said previously, I have a yellow lettered one, and I lost a red lettered one. That got me to wondering: what other colors do they come in? Eric -
The HOLLYWOOD sign on the hill. People keep vandalizing it. Eric

^^ It'd be funny to see SFMM have to admit all those people for $6 for dressing up, provided they brought the ad as proof. It was on their website. But I think this is for real. And it sounds like it could be entertaining. As for Jahan, I find it odd to have stopped being interested in parks so suddenly, especially after giving us some very nice updates. Eric

"Then at the Terminator tour they said May...who to believe." (CreditCrazy) I'd believe Tim Burkhart. But, yeah, they'd better hurry... Eric -

"At the Pre-Party I left my pen thinking that we were no allowed to keep it!" (X2coasterfreak) FAIL!!! Now you know better for next time! The pen I use now originally had yellow printing on it, but I've gotten so much use out of it that it wore off. I got a second one with red printing, but lost it somewhere. I just hope someone is enjoying it. Eric -

"I haven't ridden X2 yet. But when it was X, the last Raven turn was very painful and gave me a headache for a good 20 minutes" (Team Thriller) Sadly, it's not much better. But since I've "learned" how to ride, it doesn't affect me like it once did, as is also true with the rest of the ride. Eric -
^ That Lebanese food sounds good, actually. Out here in the West (mostly in California), we have Daphne's, which is fast food style Greek. It's rather healthy, as well as tasty. Check it out here. Eric

Out of business, no, but possibly a different company. Did you eat at McDonald's this week?
