  1. ^I agree, but it's money. That's really all it takes unfortunately. With that being said, I have to say I like the RC boats at Pompeii quite a bit more. They fit the theming, at least. Not the best picture for detail but it gets the point across I think...maybe...
  2. ^I have yet to see any of the shows this year, but I did find the moving floors in Gloria a bit odd last year. I thought that they distracted from the 'show' quite a bit, hopefully they have it worked out.
  3. Stopped by the park today to take some more pictures...here are a few if anyone is interested: (more can be found here) The "big ball tree" as Chuck calls it. This way to the rest of the park... This polar bear is looking rather thin, perhaps as a result of global warming? Not sure, it was awful cold tonight. This is probably the most theming Festa Italia has ever seen. Americana flamingos? Why not. I walked into Oktoberfest and could hardly believe that Mach Tower was running. Had to have been 3 months since I saw it with people on it. I set up my tripod for this picture and watched. The car went up about 30 feet, paused, then came back down. I knew it was too good to be true. Moments later, the ride and queue were evacuated and the ride remained closed for the rest of the night. This was easily the most entertaining thing I've seen all week. (I realize the ride was most likely running earlier, I just found my timing to be extremely hilarious) I then walked over to Verbolten and took an unhealthy amount of photos of the car. I believe I took 14, but only 3 made it online. Alpengeist, is that you? And with that I was gone. Thanks for lookin.
  4. Thanks, I found it rather cute. They had cobwebs and whatnot on them at Halloween, so it caught my eye.
  5. Isn't the Corkscrew Hill sign physically attached to the post, and all the other signs they've put there have just been over top of it? Would it be too much to ask that CH returns next year? Unfortunately I'm thinking yes... Anyway, here's a few pictures I took last night. I was rushed towards the end so I don't have too many, but I'll be back soon enough.
  6. Looks like a custom version of one of those Chance/Morgan hyper-lites! It looks pretty fun actually, really hoping I can make it to the park next year. Looks like there will also be a new freefall, bumper cars, flying scooters, and a 5D theater. Among the many rides that they are restoring.
  7. I'm extremely happy with myself for understanding this reference. And TBH, I found the wild side to be not wild at all, almost as if it should be the mild program. Awesome TRs, keep em coming!
  8. 3/10 That park needs some work.
  9. The D3100 kit (the one you described) is the kit that I bought, from Sam's Club I believe, and I love it. The D3100 seems to be the more "amateur" of the modern NIKON DSLRs while still being a fantastic camera, so I'd suggest it if you're trying to get into photography. It works great in lots of different situations and is very user-friendly to a beginner. The 2 lenses can be a pain if you're constantly switching them out, but it's something you get used to quickly. Currently I'm looking into getting the D7100 as it's a bit more professional and comes with an 18-200 mm lens.
  10. There was an article in the paper Saturday about the new ride, though it doesn't really give any information we don't already know. Here it is if anyone would like to read it:
  11. From the 10 minutes today that it wasn't raining -
  12. I'm in Hershey today & tomorrow for the fall car meet; the weather today was truly miserable and pathetic, hoping for better tomorrow. Anyway, here's some pictures I took around noon...while the water is not nearly as high as it was in the morning, it's still high enough to make you think something is not right... early in the morning the picnic area was totally underwater, also notice the fence was ripped down at least now the water color is relevant to the park name...
  13. Just posted this in the games forum - will post it for the people that don't travel over there. Over the weekend I built a Stealth model out of Coasterdynamix (as a follow up to my Inferno model) and it came out quite nicely. Video if anyone would like to watch it - Thinking about a Saw model after this, time will tell I guess.
  14. ^Maybe I'll do a eurofighter next...I dunno. Thanks for the input. But for right now, I just finished my Stealth recreation! (or Zaturn, if you prefer that...) It's pretty basic so it only took a couple hours to make, but it still looks pretty cool. The braking section doesn't work exactly how I wanted, but it's effective nonetheless... Comments are appreciated!
  15. (sorry for the double post) But what model(s) would you all like to see? At the moment I'm looking into making Oblivion/G5, both of the B&M Top Guns, Stealth, maybe Saw, Krake, Talon, Phaethon, and possibly but unlikely Dæmonen. I will likely get to all of them in the next year or two, but the order doesn't matter if there's one someone wants me to make sooner. And of course I'm open to doing custom models. So...anyone?
  16. New launched model! Made it with Intamin in mind and even attempted a box-style track. My original intention for this one was for it to have a flying snake dive as Storm Runner (will do that on a later model maybe) but I'm happy with the end result anyway. Enjoy and don't forget to comment!
  17. New invert model! Pretty small and short...but OK nonetheless. It's loosely based off of Great Bear and Top Gun (CGA). Next model will likely be a launched sitdown, but I am never sure.
  18. Dominator opens about 15/20 minutes before the rest of the park, so if you're there when it opens you should be able to knock out 1 or 2 rides on it before the park opens. But once the park does open, go straight to Volcano, you'll save a ton of time versus riding it later.
  19. ^Please don't start. Kingda Ka for me, Toro for wood.
  20. The Princess Anne/Virginia Beach tag tells me they borrowed the bus from the air museum. Also, had you panned slightly more to the right on this shot I would have been in it. I was sitting next to the guy in the "Why I Don't Ride" shirt.
  21. Looks like we have a replacement for Pirates 4D. It's supposed to be a theatrical-esque show that focuses on British rock music. Being a big fan of classic rock, I'm very interested to see how this show is next year. Not sure if this is one of the buses from the 70s, but it's still pretty cool. LONDON ROCKS!
  22. Thank you! They may be more 'fun', but your models are far more amazing than these are, the detail and realistic-ness you're putting into them more than makes up for the fact that they don't run in my opinion. ^^I really wish I could, but I can't get my hands on a Gatekeeper train. But, when (if) I acquire one, I will most certainly start making wing models.
  23. I can't read But anyway, I'm sure it'll work great when it's near completion, and the theming will make it that much better!
