  1. Oh my God this is so good news. I'm happy this is my home park this Dive is more stunning than Krake or Oblivion in concept arts. So I'm sure I will enjoy seeing this come to live in front of my very own eyes.
  2. I didn't mind it with Raptor as it was just a green screen for a few seconds. Still the image was up te date even when the shadow flew over. This just blocks like half the web image. I understand they want to tell a story with it and not just stop with the videos and make it all complete. But yeah starts to get annoying now and that video of the cooling down is also more then a week old. Remove it Gardaland, Merlin marketing sometimes I like it sometimes it bugs me.
  3. That Webcam image looks weird with that picture of the soil in it. I mean flying supports, come on remove it already.
  4. Vogel Rok at the Efteling yesterday
  5. Or it's used for a banked turn to go around the tower. B&M uses these 90 degree supports of much more than inversions or a helix.
  6. Looks pretty steep if you ask me. Or am I looking wrong at it? I mean Krake isn't that steep right?
  7. Was yesterday in the park and I have a construction update for you guys: So from the construction drawing found earlier we could see their now constructing a new path way on the other side of the temporally pathway they laid for the construction this will eventually be used as the temporally pathway will be in the way for the Helix: Almost all the land has been laid for the new path and they even made a new island: Close up of the new island: Yet still a lot more needs to be laid: The new path will be near the side line: Some fill up needs to be here: A strange hole in the middle. Some of the temporally pathway has been removed: Over to the constitution zone: There is a lot of sand there: Station work goes quite good looking at it, the edges where all there to be seen: A lot of preparation work on the station: And yes we have a footer, it's inside the station: And a small one at the back: Still so much to do: The tunnel: Starting to dig-out the tunnel: They even worked on this Saturday till around 11 o clock: Tops get cut off, notice the orange cutting line on the left: From across the pond from the PiraƱa, Tunnel work: Preparing for a concrete edge on top, also each pole has a concrete poured with them: Almost all the poles are free: Station: Close up: A lot of machinery on the site: Some distance overview: This crane stands so perfect I almost wonder if it's there to give away the highest point. So constitution is going very well, Lots of things going on there and sure starts to get interesting. Going back in a month for a new look and a new update.
  8. If my memory is correct this area isn't very big, omg no not the return of Flying Dutchman Gold Mine. No but, a Mack Mega coaster wouldn't that be too big for that are? Interesting location though, but I expected it to be more on the edge of the park.
  9. So an other day of unusual news. My heart goes out to the deer's family. In all seriousness, I never been to Lightwater Valley but even I can see Ultimate isn't one of the best.
  10. I hate that they feel the need to do this on a week day and I need to work till 15:45 and a good hour away from the park. But would have been interesting a backstage tour, anyway to bad, better luck next time. But this could mean we also will know the location by tomorrow evening, so some good news.
  11. I still think Phantasialand is very childish not letting people post on forums (besides we already have lots of other ways (Tumblr, facebook, Twitter) so we still have updates), but yeah at least they contained to some extend the picture flow. Anyway by one of the other ways I saw what you meant, you mean the long concrete block within the hole right? Yeah curious about that, I wouldn't be shocked if it would be launched coaster but my guess no B&M.
  12. Well like I said there is a very high change of it turning out like this, If you measured all the elements it seems very logical and feels very real, I mean if I need to go on the single camelback after the Immlemann (like many think) and measured it out on the construction drawing then the camelback needs to be as long as the lift, drop and tunnel to reach it. But the lay-out I made sounds looks very much like a Dive would look and whit Looopings.nl statement I have 80% reason enough to believe the loop will be there. I might expect if we should wonder if there isn't more to it then I showed, but I like to dream realistic for now. @Jli7: May I ask where you came up with the idea of a splash? I mean the drawing shows no water close enough to that part of the track. Yeah I have to admit every Dive after Sheikra had one, but that doesn't mean this one going to have one. Besides there it would be in front of the entrance, and the Efteling designed the The flying Dutchman splash to keep people dry. But it caught my attention. Edit: I actually did some in my head measurements, but shouldn't this lay-out never turn out to be longer than Krake as the park confirmed? I mean a exact copy should be in the min because every element is lowered to meet the hight, and by adding some more coaster elements on what should be the brake wouldn't necessarily mean we turn out to be longer. (I mean Krake would be as long as the No limit versions splash if we cut of the brakes and the station, adding those makes Krake even longer then the No Limit.) I have to say I noticed this several times now, people have like a top view and like to dream really really big on the 3D version they literally disregard facts to make it flashy and the best Dive there is. I mean look at Krake's brake run (that coaster is like 476 meters) and this one is bigger so we might need to accept that this one carries the same fate, So logical brainwork needs to tel you the brake will begin on the straight part of track after the Helix. (Which also proves that my concept is more likely the actual ride, this one is lower and needs to get that length somewhere else and I doubt they get that form the Helix, because my understanding of bigger isn't a 25 meters longer at least 50) I think where all allowed to dream, but it seems people lost the line of dreams and reality somewhere. This is my personal opinion, but I thought we needed some reality check.
  13. I was really sceptical that the new ride would turn out to be a coaster, but they actually confirmed one? I mean the are rumors circling the internet for some time now stating the ride would be a Mack Megacoaster like Blue Fire, I have no objections about that. I'm not going to hope on some decent theming It's Walibi we're talking about, I'm still wondering when they're going to finish Speed of Sound. (I have to say Xpress second half queue looks great first half not so much).
  14. ^ Till certain hights yes. I made with all the information known for sure and the rumors brought with Looopings.nl(known to be correct very often) , that it would feature 2 inversion 1 to be the traditional loop, this top view: This keeps the 2 station length lift and 1 station lenght tunnel. Then we make the Immelmann, Looping, Slight turn to the left Cammelback into the Helix into the brake. I have enough information to believe this could be the actual Lay-out. Not so bad if you ask me.
  15. I made some Facts and Theories around the construction drawings. I have just colored the pictures of RCTLand for some clarity: A: B: This is known simply drawing 1, taken in 2 corners. Well the purple line (you can see the queue) lies in the same place. As you can see in A is the purple line parallel to the station (black). So B is black parallel to the purple line. May slightly be to the left or right but it comes to the idea of the angle of the direction of the track. Same counts at drawing A's Helix, the twist and outcome is not entirely true, but look at B you see he runs away anything from the path, hence the angle right here. The gray (Pad) and green (Water Quay) lines are simply landmarks that you can see that I'm in the right direction. The orange and dark red are supports footers and filled in, this helps in the 3D viewing on the helix. Well Theory direction: I have this picture of myself, the part of the layout drawn about because the angle is not quite correct for. (Helix and cornering are wrong obviously, but I want to show that just fit on the area.) Theory: Many believe the track will go from the Immlemann (which I drawn in Orange for direction and angle) straight to the Helix (featuring a cammelback and a looping) Obvious (as you can see the lines) this couldn't be true as the lift is around 2 stations (I used Krake for measuring), this would mean we go under the highest part not far beyond that. This could be the lay-out: Station, lift, continue in the drop and tunnel, Immlemann, looping, slightly turn, Cammelback, and finish in the helix. But there may be more to it. Imagine if we go over the ground in a right turn (after the Immlemann) followed by the loop and make a Horse-Shoe turn around 2 cammelbacks into the helix. Just some wishful thinking here. Source material: RCTland (picture drawings), Myself (photo construction) and Bing maps Satelite (Krake satellite photo).
  16. ^ Sounds the most realistic to me. I mean reversed (54 meters high and 430 meters long) makes no sense to me personally. I do find it odd, I mean they put a big marking through Ginger in the video. I mean they discussed a name for the spiral and emphasized that much. Well I don't think it might be the name of the ride I think there is a meaning behind it. I don't know what but it screams as if it has a meaning.
  17. Got a small update for you guys made by myself yesterday: So these are on several places around the construction site. Station comes here. And Tunnel comes here. All kinds of diggers on site. That's a good load of sand. Some equipment. Tunnel and station from an other angle. That's a huge one. Containers. These will hold the sand so they can make the tunnel. So work is processing nicely.
  18. Just home from an other visit to the Efteling with last ride of the day being Python.
  19. Black Mamba Phantasialand last Friday.
  20. I'm confused on how this could happen, I mean a fire a top of the lift hill that doesn't just happen. I'm no local so I was just wondering did this happen during openings hours? Again no Local so I have no idea how late it is over there.
  21. First thing that came to mind was a special breakdown of the ride. But I'm sure this is legit as accidental fire. Guess Twisted Colossus is too hot for regular Colossus.
  22. ^ Could be me but didn't they just announce the tunnel not the actual depth? I don't believe the Dive will be 800 Meters long, they did announce it would be longer than Krake but (according to RCDB) is 475 meters, I doubt they add 325 meters to it. I do however hope 600+ Meters track. Personal opinion here. Anyway nice to see construction going on. I been last Sunday but yeah nothing special about it. I do think It's a nice big piece of land and I will enjoy seeing this coaster rise before my very own eyes.
  23. Vliegende Hollander (Flying Dutchman) at the Efteling Yesterday.
  24. Wicked Cyclone looks like a great solid ride. With Six Flags announcing 4 looping rides as coasters I'm happy the actual coasters are great rides.
