So this ride will be over 1.3 Kiklometers (4.4 thousand feet long) in order to reach the lenght record. Over a 100 Km/h (62 Mph) to have Europe's fastest record in that small space (Small for the stats) so it will have to cross a stunning 58 times (116 passes) this all in a fuly themed ride, and Intamin builds it so 70% sure awesome ride (Admid it even Itmin can have their dips sometimes.) I'm in, this is just a 2 hour drive away so. -

I always have something to do when the best parts happen. Anyway good to see them testing really look forward to it and that Immelmann looks to be a good experience, this one might not be your standard roll out dive coaster but we will see can't judge what you didn't ride. -

Screamscapes source's are we ourself and admit it we can all send a email to the site telling them how the ride will be, doens't have to be true. However the site does their reachers well but even then 30% of the time they could be very wrong (like obviously with Taron), you can count on Screamscape for rumors but until official reports they don't have facts. The Soundtrack on Talocan gets better every season, Man this one as well just sends chills on my spine. On the sad note the park hasn't got it easy apparently, right now their in a fight with their new ride Chiapas as the safety bars jump open during ride time. Earlier this only meant fewer boats as some of them had to be checked out, now even the boats actually do ride have the same problem. Somewhat unexpected of Intamin. Source (Dutch) and video link to a guy walking on the side of the ride after his safety bar got open during the ride. -

I like it's the same shade of the track and that the restrains are a lighter green and the standard black seatings. Compliments each other well. I just hope they stay away form sticker village and adds the Barons logo (Shovel and pickaxe) in a bronze circle like the Efteling e on the Python trains, that would fit great with the coasters theme. -

Its been a while and the next update has to wait as well, I'm very busy now whit getting everything done for the June celebrations. Anyway yesterday Baron 1898 was finally placed on the map no close up yet it will follow in June: It will moste likely change a lot after this. Here is also 2 teasers: Full track. And a negative image of the station. Also winter version is complete, sorry no close ups I'm to busy: And finally I do have a close up on the new Game Gallery at the park, the park rebranded it and so did I, interesting fact might be that it's the old building just rethemed like in real life: So next update will be this June I'm already busy with that update so till then. -

Phantasialand already stated that 70% of the budget will go into theming. Considering a Intamin launcher is not that cheap, I think we will be looking at something incredible. Can not wait for this to be finished. I completely forget that part. I remember when I read it I thought we wouldn't get a coaster just another awesome darkride (had a little hope on a darkride coaster), but I completely forgot it when I found out it was this Intamin mean steel. Just how high is the budget on this monster? -

Didn't realize the bell was already hanging. But I have to say this theming lookls so good I'm completly out of words. Really like it when a park puts so much efford in theming instad of slaming some corrugated sheets on a iron frame and a cheap looking logo on that. Anyway looks good. -

Yeah I doubt the Baron is a full rip-off of Tower of Terror. Talking about the coaster the wheels on top of the tower have arrived: Source. -

Seems that the coaster will offer a lot of action. Still no word from the park so it seems. But the 2015 season seems to offer something just read they have 6 new soundtracks: 1: River Quest has been given one. 2: Mystery Castle got his own (no longer movie copied) 3: Hotel Tartüff got something new. 4: Talocan no longer has the Narnia soundtrack: 5: Temple of the Nighthawk no longer has the walking with Dinosaurs soundtrack: 6: And Colorado has some new soundtrack. That camera looks pretty wet after the tunnel. Like to try it out soon seems like a fun ride. I have to say the surrounding look really good, very green for a ride that opened today. -

"Spashy Bullet", Wait what? Well at least my coaster name beats Superman "Krypton Woodie" So SFMM wins this round if you ask me. So no announcement yet? Kind of expected that (I cut myself lose form this thread during construction I simply had to much project I followed). I did see the trains and wanted to say: those restrains look weird as hell. I will try to visit this thread more frequent again, the no announcement fascinates me enough to find out whats going on. For the rest it looks good.

Good thing you don't hate Baron 1898 because it isn't a coal-mine but a Gold-mine. The story is about a man finding some gold on cursed land and starts a mine while he gets plague by some ghost. Anyway good to see the track work complete, Now I really look forward to testing (although it will take a while don't expect it anytime sooner then mid May) really want to see it in action. -
^ What about the train station located in Terminal 2 of the Airport? I get it will bring me to Sants but how can I find out about the price from that train station to Sants? I have no idea what is called.

Here is another Construction update, Today they made progress on the construction of track and completed the Helix. Also all Supports are placed now: Red = Unbuild track. (Dark) Green = Build track. (Dark green is the build track inside the tunnel) Purple footers = unbuild supports. Light blue footers: Supports under construction. Orange footers = Build Supports. Yellow just shows how the supports (could) connect to the track. Blue is just the location of the tunnel. Man that Helix looks great, love the banking. -
Thanks for al the information. About the train, some questions. 1: Will the station be a easy find? I mean PortAventura's site talks so easy about it, is it as easy as it sounds? 2: rcjp: Thanks for the tip, but I already have free entrance to the park. So a normal ticket Is it cheaper? (I can't navigate myself through al the information well enough) 3: Now do I obtain tickets? (I like to be well informed about this). 4: Can I buy tickets for other day's? If not has Solau and PortAventura train station easy ticket access? (going to be there at least 3 day's (arrival, visit and return) hence Why I ask) 5: The train times? (kind off have a hard time figuring that out, any help would be welcome.) Thanks for helping me this far already, Planning has taken of really hard now thanks to it.

^Theme park's basically have lost control in this internet era. They have basically 2 choices: 1 accept the fans curiosity and let them be (like most parks do) or 2 make sure nobody can see the construction site form any direction (this is impossible, yes). People find a way to keep uploading these photo's. Seems like this will be a really big ride. -

Let's just hope that rumor is true. I mean I can see for quite sometime now the park getting a Flyer (those 2 pieces seem to fit in my head so perfect) and count that they plan to strive for 5 Million visitors by 2020 it would be something for the said year. If they would do it and no other park in Europa jumps in front of them they would get a lot of fans interest in the coaster. I mean I hear European people begging for a B&M flyer for years. -

This project proves that no matter how much you like to keep a project protected, fans will find a way to get updates. It just proves we have more control over the updates then anybody. Thanks for the link. Really wonder what the final ride will be like, knowing Phantasialand it will look stunning. -
Hey, Me and my girlfriend are planning to hop on a plane over 3 weeks and fly to Spain to visit PortAventura for a day. Well the thing is it's for us both a first time going to Spain. So I thought and ask for some tips here on TPR, try to keep in mind that we have free entree to the park. So let's get stared: 1: Can anybody who has ever visit the park by plane tell me how to prepare properly? Like when I arrive at Bracalona Airport (that is what we plan at least) wich serves is the best to get to the park (bus, train, taxi), off-course we would like to use the same transportation to get back to the Airport in time. 2: Place to sleep: Would people advise me to stay at the park hotel or would you recommend me to sleep somewhere els? 3: Crowds: Would you guys expect it to be busy the weekend of April 4th? If so any tips on wich ride we should go on first to skip large crowds. If these could be answered I would be thankful. A little question on the side line: 4: This might sound strange with me being a coaster enthusiastic, But I try to keep the kiddy coasters out of my credit list, I've been wondering for a while now but Tomahawk, would you guys say it's a Family coaster suitable for kids or a bigger form of a Kiddy coasters? I've been watching onrides of it for a long time and I'm not really sure. Like I said strange question, it's just that I believe Kiddy coasters are for the younger generations, hence why I ask.

Great to see it looks more inverted then his older brother Krake. I have to say it all looks bigger then I expected it to look (still small compered to the others), I'm really looking forward to my next visit and have a look again.
