  1. Jokers Jinx launches 10mph slower than all of the other clones. I know it's fun to talk about, but I really don't see the park getting a replacement coaster within the next few years. The park has always had a stacked coaster lineup for it's yearly attendance, even with Volcano gone. I see a flatride, or a coaster in at least four years probably more.
  2. Man you got lucky on those Flyers! The day I was there the employees were just not having it and would slow it down whenever I snapped it.
  3. I've been the park quite a lot since 2006 and I've only seen anaconda with more than a station wait maybe three times? All on a saturday. I don't think I have ever seen it with a longer line than Italian Job. And I see here a lot that nobody ever has to wait for Intimidator, thats true for mabye half my visits other times the wait ranges from 15-60 minutes with one train, which for a giga coaster is not long at all but to say it always has a station wait is simply not true.
  4. Just got back from the park for the first time, no lines on any rides but the haunts had huge lines. The Swinging ship, the Huss TopSpin, flying scooters and kiddie coaster where all closed. The kiddie coaster was valleyed right before the station. The Enterprise was much much better than I was expecting, it was faster than the one that used to be at Cedar Point and really jerked you around in a fun way that CPs didn't...I wonder if its just broken or what. The SLCs lift hill for some reason is slower than a Golden Horse?
  5. If you hold your sail just slightly to the right the whole ride, you will get some light/medium snapping. Also watch the people on the flyers, look for people snapping and pay attention to what they're doing.
  6. I was at the park for a whole day Tuesday and half a day Wednesday. The forecast for Tuesday looked bad, but it really only rained from 2-3. As a result, almost everything was a walk on, including flying turns by the end of the day. Wednesday was super crowded but still manageable, they had two trains on Phoenix but only one on Twister. Impulse was running two cars the whole time, but for Tuesday and Wednesday morning they only loaded one car with the other going straight through the station to the holding block. It was weird. It was really windy Wednesday, so the snapping on the flyers was completely extreme and scary, it was awesome. Downdraft was the shit.
  7. Has Volcano been down this whole time? It was down all day yesterday too.
  8. Is it just me or do those seats look straight off a B&M hyper?
  9. Something about the successive loops on the 11 inversion coaster just looks so off...
  10. They are the most crowded days of the entire year, would not recommend.
  11. They are trying to get Tilt-a-whirl and sky coaster open by memorial day weekend, in case anyone cares
  12. SkyCoaster, The Zamperla flat, mabye tilt-a-whirl and Hologate VR all in one year is pretty impressive, though I agree I would have rather gotten a real drop tower or trill ride.
  13. Its 110, information about any of their rides is hard to find. Even at 110 this thing is going to look absolutely huge compared to the rest of the park, and the up charge will probably be one of the lowest for these types of rides.
  14. The mini helicopters were also replaced with some kiddie Zamperla spinner. Rumor has it Tilt a whirl is coming back too.
  15. They are getting a skycoaster: I wonder why they don't announce their additions in advance, its not even on their website yet.
  16. At least I can tell people I stayed in a hotel with one of the world's largest bedbug infestations. Went in 2012, anyone know if it was as bad then or I just dodged a bullet or what? Luckily didn't get bed bugs.
  17. Maybe way down the road, but I don't see them getting another coaster too soon. The waterpark will probably come first, and I'm not sure how much room they will have after that. It would be awesome though, I think with a wooden coaster and another thrill ride the park would probably be able to attract a wider audience, almost no one I know has heard of the park.
  18. I operate a Schwartzkopf Wildcat, our model's brake run has 7 friction brakes. When a heavier car hits the brakes, it usually makes it to about the 6th or 7th one providing a pretty smooth stop. When a lighter car hits the brakes, it can stop within the first two and absolutely slam, stopping it much faster than i've ever seen CP's do.
  19. Was anyone at KD on the 19th? At around 10:30 I was in line for I305 and it closed, pretty standard. So I made my way to FoF, but was told it was closed also. Then went to Anaconda and it was also closed. I saw all three open with the park. Then went to Rebel yell, Ricochet and Grizzly and they were all closed! Judging by what I saw every coaster closed at around the same time. We went to Dominator, which was open, and then back over to I305/FoF which were open and by then it seems that every coaster with exception of Volcano had opened back up. Crazy coincidence or something else?
  20. Flight of Fear was down all day on Friday anyone know what is up? There wasn't even an employee at the front like usual just a trash can.
  21. Doing the Haunt this Friday. Never done it on a Friday, what are the crowds like?
  22. found this in the horrible park operations thread While this might be true I definitely have ridden boomerangs with less than 6 people on them.
  23. Anyone know if that Trimpers Zipper has reopened?
  24. In the front row Shockwave had quite a bit of airtime on the hill before the helix, right after the helix and the hill up to the brake run.
