The first one that pops in my mind is a focus on Fiesta Texas, since that particular location is incredibly unique. I'd love to hear specifics of how they chose, what went where, within the quarry, how they decided what rides would interact with the quarry walls (and if the cost is more or less to customize something like Superman so it interacts with the quarry). a specific focus on the RMC treatment of Rattler, how they chose what to keep from the original layout (the Tunnel!) and what to take out. Fiesta bills itself as a showpark, so how does it compare attendance wise with the other parks in the Six Flags chain that DON'T focus mainly on shows? how about staffing? Is it harder to staff a park when you have such a reliance on shows? that kind of stuff.

I hope they bury him in a public place so I can go schedule a trip to go dance on his grave.

we've never been, and looking at the layout of the park, that's why I planned (tentatively) for 2 days. we have no desire to do the waterpark, so won't be messing with that at all, but do remember that we like riding "everything" not just the big coasters. So we're not on a credit hunt for this trip -- I expect we'll ride just as many teacups, tilt-a-whirl's, paratroopers, etc, as we do coasters so that's why trying to make sure we have enough time at each stop. knowing this, is 2 days for Dorney still too long? (and really only a day + if we wanted to go back, as I put in a free afternoon for sightseeing in Allentown) (as for Great Adventure. . hmmmmm. . .how far a drive is that from the Penn. parks?).

yeah. .agreed. although for me, at Studios, we only really like Rock & Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror (which are right next to each other). but if you've never been, you very likely want to do Star Tours, and the stunt show too (and eat lunch at the SciFi drive in). go to Epcot for the late afternoon, then eat dinner in the World Showcase -- all these years later, my favorite is STILL "Marakesh" in Morroco, or the Steakhouse in Canada -- both of which would put you with great views of Illuminations when done. but you very, VERY likely will need reservations (tho we've never had much issue getting last minute seating for just two of us). Still . .make reservations to be sure!

I dunno. . . we've had a lot of experience where Fiesta is only running one train on things. and we've always thought it was to sell "Flash Passes" just my/our opinion of course, but we've been there on super-crowded days, when Pandemonium is only running FOUR cars.

Thought today's Political Cartoon from Steve Breen (he's a San Diego cartoonist) speaks VOLUMES:

ok. . starting to put plans into place. It's looking like we are going to move OUT of May . . due to medical appointments in the last week in May, but this might work in our favor, as once the seasons start, we likely have more options at the parks for weekday attendance. so maybe 2nd week in June now. Here's what I'm thinking. . opinion please? Fly into Philadelphia and rent car. 1st stop: Dorney Park (find place to stay local). 2 days, maybe visit Allentown on late 2nd day? 2nd stop: Knoebels (find place to stay night before (after leaving Dorney/Allentown?), and spend full day at Knobel's 3rd stop: Hershey Park. 2 days (full day at least for park + prior evening for park, next day either park, or just chocolate tour stuff). 4th stop: Kennywood. Stay in Pittsburgh, get room, go to Kennywood for at least 1 full day, maybe go back next day. if we have time, maybe drive to Idlewild in there somewhere. . . . but that's iffy, as we might make detour to DC possibly too. Fly out of Pittsburgh. so that would mean we are talking about an 8 day trip including parks, driving, etc. what do you think? bad plan? something I should do different? please do let me know. . wanna make sure I'm not missing something (ie: not giving enough time for a park, or just plain making a bad decision in order that I have mapped out for hitting these particular parks).
