it VERY likely will take best Director. (Bullock will lost to Cate Blanchette from "Blue Jasmine" in Actress. . but it has a very good shot for Best Director) I really should have joined an Oscar pool. . . as I got all the major awards correct (including best song!). . . Oh, I wanted U2 to win, but had a feeling it would be the one from Frozen, as the urge to give the writer the EGOT was gonna win him the honor (and it did).

I thought the helix looked quite fast and smooth. At my age and current health, even the slightest blur in the video makes me feel it won't go well for me, LOL. got it! Wacky Worms for you! -
Sorry about this post mates, I didn't realize this was a legal issues site, I though it was Theme Park Review. My bad! Wow. . 28 posts in over a year+ of membership (14 months. . that's about 2 posts a month!). you are a very prolific, and active, member of the community! maybe it's just me, but I like my snark to be EARNED. . . (and no, I'm not going to opening day)

that the coaster actually looks to be really fun is just the icing! SO much to love here: -- the cheesy music in the opening shot -- the amount of marijuana growing thru the lift hill -- the insanity of the LOOK of thread the needle -but only thru ONE of the loops! -- that helix. . OMG, that great helix -- the woman next to you. . LOL -- those brakes! perfect description. I want one of these in the USA -
Your age is really showing (how old were you at Finding Nemo. . you must have been 9 or so?). I'm almost 47, and we avoided "Frozen" like the plague, because the early trailers were all that idiotic "Olaf" thing. when we heard that he's only a small portion of the film, and that it's a very good musical?. . THAT'S when we went and saw it. and have seen it 3 times now. LOVE it, best film Disney has put out in many years.

Parks Coasters and Rides in Movies and TV
bert425 replied to spike's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was going to say that! and it *was* released theatrically overseas (tho in USA it was a TV movie). . so yeah, technically, KISS and Magic Mountain starred in a movie together and I didn't see this mentioned, but "Rosanne" filmed a 3 parter at Disney World. and the Partridge Family filmed an episode at Kings Island in 1972. (go to 3 minute mark at this section of the episode to watch Danny and Keith's girl on a coaster, and then pull Keith up to the top of the Tower) [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] and then SHOCKED that this wasn't mentioned (unless I just missed it), but the Brady's then copied the Partridges and filmed their own episode at Kings Island the next year. (there's a Pop-Up video version that VH1 used to show that's online) I'm showing my age, but these episodes are what made me fall in love with Amusement parks! -

it's so funny, since as I mentioned I rarely (as in never) buy T-shirts at parks. unless it's a Disney park. .and then I go nuts! really. . . I have a California Screamin shirt (this one) I've worn it . . .um. . twice in 6 years? -

shocked not updated yet. . but HUGE day today. Texas anti-gay marriage ban found unconstitutional (tho stay put on ruling until State can appeal (bah). . but still!) http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/26/politics/texas-same-sex/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 and then Jan Brewer (under intense pressure. . but still!) Vetoes the pro-Gay-Discrimination bill that the scumbags in State Legislature put on her desk! http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/26/politics/texas-same-sex/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 wOOt! BIG day for Gay Rights.

It's for reach envelope. Parts of the ride are so close to the track that they needed to add these roll cages to keep people from sticking their hands out of the car. oy. .that makes it even MORE frightening -- like being stuck in a small box being shaken! (I watched this earlier from your FB post, and I had flashbacks to the "enclosed" Texas Cyclone cars too. . so it was funny to see someone else mention it here). Heh, I even ended up looking at the video you did from the back seat of the Cyclone just to compare how shaky it was. I respect you greatly for subjecting you and your "tender parts" (and your wife ) to all that shaking! -
Murray effectively did that years ago tho.

When we last went to Animal Kingdom, it was after American Spring Break (we went in May-ish), but right in the middle of French Spring Break (I'm guessing). we got stuck in the line for the Safari between two large groups of the most obnoxious teenagers I have EVER seen -- either American or otherwise -- for over an hour. The Cast Members kept giving us the "I'm sorry" shrugs, every time we caught their eyes. it worked out well tho, as when we got to the vehicle, they gave my partner and I our own row to make up for the line experience (the cast member actually apologized that we had to wait and put us in a vehicle without the students!). so we had great views from both sides of the vehicle, as we were able to slide from side to side and take pictures easily of whatever was coming up! so yeah, it was annoying, but paid off - hence me not listing this as my choice earlier
