New Roller Coasters in the RAW Blu-Ray Poll

I'm interested, and would either buy it myself, or ask for it as a gift -
I'll take it. this on top of my Dad pissing me off a bit ago (I wish I didn't care that he really could not give less of a crap about my 50th birthday on Tuesday, but it really drives home how much I miss Mom, because she WOULD care). . that put me in a foul foul mood, and so Nick and I have been sniping at each other most of the evening. oh and then I lost my wedding ring (realized it had slipped off my finger while I was putting new sheets on the bed in the guest room). . 20 minutes of frantic searching, and I found it (in the corner of the new sheet). . but that had me freaked for a bit, thinking I lost it elsewhere, and just hadn't noticed). so yeah. . i'll take it. . been a fairly brutal day. (and the lack of sleep ain't helping. . we stayed up until 3 am, and were up at 8am).

Had wonderful company who came in for the weekend, for my Bday celebrations. and we were commenting after dropping her off, on how she always is surrounded by drama, but this visit was surprisingly drama free (other than a minor issue with having to run back to a store to swap out something that was supplied in error the day after she bought it . . didn't notice until we got home). . and then I got a text. . .she left her car keys in MY car while we were driving around. and she is locked out of her car, an hour away from her house in her home city. to same day express courrier them to her is over $400 (it's SUNDAY night for criminey's sakes). . . so she's scrambling trying to find a rental car to get her home (she DOES have her house keys. . for some reason, she only left her car keys. .jeez). . . to get her spare key and then go back to Airport to get her car. but by now, I've already blown 2 + hours of my evening researching couriers, and she needs me to overnight her keys to her tomorrow. . . which means going to either Post Office or UPS store tomorrow (both of which are expensive, tho no where near the $400 cost). so on a busy workday tomorrow, I'm going to have to run out and deal with this crap now. . . I love her..but jeez. . .

Huge, Huge congrats to you two crazy kids, Bill! Loving each other and standing by each other for that many years is a sign of real commitment and proof you found your soulmate. I only hope I get near that many years with Nick. mucho hugs, bert

June-July Coaster Trip
bert425 replied to Skittles's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd suggest the following changes: 1. Cheetah Hunt 2. Cobra's Curse 3. Montu 4. back to Cheetah Hunt 5. back to Montu take wilderness trail (you're there all day, Tampa is about the animals too!) over to Falcon's Fury area 6: Scorpion 7: Sand Serpent (if it's open. . it's right across the "street" from Scorpion) 8: Falcon's Fury - DON'T miss this amazing drop tower 9: Kumba 10: ShiekRa X 4 (it never has a line, and can wait for last on the "coasters"). we really, really enjoyed the train thru the Serengeti (and right under ShiekRa), the sky-buckets, and the rapids. (tho we thought the flume was just so-so). as I said, Tampa is about the animals, so the Lion trail, and the Gorilla Trails are also worth going thru. As are the birds and the Kangaroos. -

absolutely worth a full day -- do multiple rides on Jackrabbit, Racer, and Thunderbolt too. . . Phantom was fun, but we only rode once. as noted, they have several classic rides to NOT miss. .the main ones being: Noah's Arc walkthur, Bayrun Kurve, Kangaroo, Paratrooper, and Turtle. The indoor shooter, Ghostwood Estates, was fun too. and the Train ride along the river was fantastic. -
so glad to hear the great news! continuing to send good vibes and thoughts y'all's way! (as to me, the Steroids kicked in last Friday, and although I'm still having very little response from ~my nose to my chin on the left side. . . from the nose up? almost 100% improvement: Can blink left eye again, and really good response in eyebrow and cheek. So hopefully will be 100% in the next month. . but thus far, really good).

good news is that I just got done getting a crown too, and you can eat just fine with the Temporary (yay for BarBQue and Beer!). . you just can't floss normally, and they'll warn you not to eat anything "sticky" on that side.

Rick Astley in the shed would have been BRILLIANT. but still, looks like a very fun ride, and can't wait to some day make it there! -

6/2 is Coastermania!.. I expect it to be packed, but no idea how the "special" stuff for Coastermania! attendees works. . . (do they close off certain rides to the GP for ERT for Coastermania! attendees?) -

glad to hear that's the tough part. the ER Dr. told me if no improvement in 10-14 days, it likely will never improve. so , of course, nervous, and hope I start seeing something going on in the next few days! Yea, they told me the same thing, too, and that had me really nervous at first also. That's only in about roughly 5% of patients, though, so the odds are strong you'll make a full recovery. It can take a few weeks, though, so just stay patient and hopeful. Happy thoughts! Thank goodness the steroids seem to have had some effect. still no reaction at all from the eye down (lip/cheek still "dead"). . but eyebrow has some movement, and I can now wink/blink my left eye. So seems to be helping! -

you have less than 2 months to get better! get on it, Bill

Glad you enjoyed the report! unfortunately, no Bears doing "titanic". . LOL. . they were doing "other things" oh, Nick's not a "bear" at all. . but it's a very inclusive group. heck, there were not only straight women cruising with our group, but also straight married couples and thank you about Mom (as noted in the 1st post, she told us to go). . .yeah, here's why I had to go to Houston on Sunday (for the internment and the unveiling): -

These are some great pics. wow.. you have quite the eye! Thanks for sharing, I love seeing places I've not been, and since Hubby is not a HP fan (and can't do "extreme" rides, he always vetoes pics to Universal.. .i know. . boooo). Love these tho. . so pretty! -

well. . at least the Bell's Palsy waited until *AFTER* our cruise to show up. likely caused by stress (we had to go to Houston on Sunday to inter Mom's ashes, so when this started on Sat. evening, couldn't do anything about it until Sunday night when we got back post 5pm - and then 4+ hours in emergency room). the ER docs also said it's likely tied to the Novocain shot I had at the Dentist on Thurs for a crown put in.. tho Dental sites *deny* there's any connection, despite a lot of stuff online where folks say they developed BP after dental work. The ER docs did think that the needle the dentist uses irritates the nerve, and presto BP. hopefully this will resolve, tho right now, i have to keep my left eye taped shut, since the lid (or anything on the left side of my face) doesn't work. if i had gone on the cruise like this, I wonder if I'd have gotten flirted with more or less? It's a LITTLE "Elvis" / sexy , no?
