  1. That works for me: "Teh Prince Desmond Big Dipper Challenge" (BTW: The deed has been done, and I'm done hitched, y'all!) I'll have some free-time tommorow to purty up the next challenge a bit- and I'll post a copy of the 'park' to the appropriate thread for your amusement. R.D.
  2. The impulse track looks a bit better- and the lift structure is more 'accurate' to an Arrow lift- My .02 for what it's worth-
  3. ^ True... but I'm taking the 'benefit of the doubt' approach so far... at least for now.
  4. ^ and all subsequent requests for the picture: I'm in transit today to San Francisco- and won't be able to transfer things up till I arrive at my home later on- be patient, it will arrive as soon as I can. R.D.
  5. Matt- the second one, by far. It still looks like a real attraction that's warm, friendly and inviting, instead of the entry to a building from "Soylent Green."
  6. R1_C3 for me- and guess what? It's a launch coaster.
  7. ^ Yup- that's what I was looking for: A few suggestions, though: 1.) Add a helix near the brake run- something upward would fit appropriately to the layout that you've got there- as it's very flowing, it would conclude the ride perfectly. 2.) Consider adding a block brake after the looping element/somehwere in the final 1/3rd of the ride. His coasters tended to block after the loop- something that was in most of his 3x or more train coasters. Otherwise, it's looking very nice. I'm looking forward to the final relase of it. R.D.
  8. Just a heads-up... I'll be off-the grid Saturday-Tuesday AM while I get married; I'll be around for a few days, then off to Oregon on my honeymoon. The Prince Desmond challenge will be ready to go for 31 May- and I'll start that when I get back from Oregon.
  9. ^ NICE. VEEERRRRY NICE.... What about the last 1/3rd of the ride, past the loop? I'm curious to see how you finished out the ride. R.D. Certifiably Looney Schwarzkopf Fanboy
  10. HAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA But really, we're a bunch of douchebags because we patrol our boards and don't like people... (At this point, I think I'll send a big ol' black pot to them.)
  11. Questions sent, too- but I think in all reality, we'll get more questions to answer AFTER all is said and done. R.D.
  12. I'm going to go out on a limb here... There are 12 squares, there are 12 digits, and there are 12 'guest reporter/scientist' passes- I'm beginning to think the 12 of those will add up to a final puzzle- that is, each of us will get a piece of the final puzzle- or something related. R.D. (Pass #8)
  13. No complaints at all- I like it. The layout is different, but the high-capacity system for the platforms looks amazing. If anything: I'd extend the MCBR a bit- but that's a minor complaint- R.D.
  14. Much better- but (In my opinion, mind you!) I'd perhaps add a third block on that straightaway prior to the 90 degree right turn- this gives you three blocks for the platform- and would be -perfect- considering the ride's overall profile. R.D.
  15. Looking better, Grrt- and you've got the feel of the 'classic' FirstGen Schwarzkopfs down right. Is there a way to see the Brake run before the platform up close? I can't seem to see all the details of it from this perspective- R.D.
  16. 1.) It's not 'nerds' it's "Worshippers of HIS great works, the likes of which are not seen anywhere anymore, thus we are Blessed with the works of His design." (Joke, sort-of.) 2.) BRAKE RUN! BRAKE RUN! BRAKE RUN!!!!!! His works had longer than average brake runs for the most part, that is, there was space for at least three trains, and in some cases, up to five. You can also make a multi-tiered brake run (Have a turn before the next segment, as that's what His later rides and some portables had), but you need a longer brake run. R.D. 17. I'm Pass #8. That's all I'll say at this point.. but there are 12 squares- and 12 press-passes being handed out.
  18. Not tonight, Robb. You were too rough last night- and I'm tired...
  19. Yes- I started it about an hour ago, but have been having internet difficulties here; the winds have picked up and we're under a severe thunderstorm warning- so I'll be on-and-off the project while the net is 'in flux' Related: I'm on page 12 of the admin panel, going from pg 1 to the rear, if you want to pick it up from there. R.D.
  20. Wow- Just wow. That was a w.a.b.a.c. machine to my youth- and in so many ways. I've not seen a lot of those older attractions in so long that it was great to get a 'refresher' on things long gone. The Astute Computer Review- that was actually a HUGE deal for my family during our earliest trips to EPCOT, as my Mother at the time was a mainframe programmer in the industry. Seeing the 25th anniversary 'cake-sle' was the doorstep to going back to the 15th Anniversary year, for which I still have the plastic cups from in storage...(I can still recall CLEARLY the song on the monorail- and in the parade.. "Fifteen years of Celebration all rolled into ONE!") I still torment my Mother to this day with the speech from the Monorail circuit that Minney Mouse spewed out during Mickey's Birthday Year (He was 60!) "Hi, it's me, Minnie Mouse, and I'm throwing a very special party for Mickey- and you're invited. Just go to the train station on Main Street or Frontierland and I'll take you right there. But remember! It's a SECRET!" And the 80s never looked so... DREADFUL! The clothing, the hair, the scary costumes of the characters... Nice report- Looking forward to more. R.D.
  21. ^ Very interesting- Is it a Moeibus, or just a dual-track racer? The detail on the platform is EXCELLENT- i've yet to really figure out how to do transfer tracks- but that looks spot-on. R.D.
  22. Of course you do. Yes. Yes they are. R.D. Games Forum Moderating Team
  23. That is -beautiful- all around- the medeterranian buildings look phenominal. R.D.
  24. Yeah- we'd have 40 entries by three people all fighting to "Not be a member" of TPR, and not get any of the TPR crap.
  25. For me, I use Trip Advisor for most of my hotel booking (Domesitc USA at least) as it tends to make it much easier for me to find things that fit my needs- and that it will tell me specifc features that I use when on the road (I.E. Handicapped Access, close to facilities, food and bar, etc.) I also find it tends to be less 'congested' over the other site (Travelocity, Priceline, etc.) as it's written with business travellers in mind- However, the features really work out well for TPR type things- as they give direct distances to the parks and related from the site as well. R.D.
