  1. I wouldn't say Kinzel was focused solely on CP in the recent years. True, CP got something new every year, but I would say the last 5 years or so had Cedar Fair adding to the former Paramount Parks over all their other investments. Now, Six Flags on the other hand I would say is MUCH more intent on spoiling SFMM than CF is with CP.
  2. Taking this back from a few pages ago, I can't see it being a Green Lantern, and the movie did poorly (Which is part of the reason we haven't seen any more Mr. Freeze's since '97/'98). However, I could see this tint of green being the Joker for whatever reason they would make a Joker coaster. I think the most likely CF parks to get this would either be Valleyfair and Cedar Point. In CP's case they may take a lot of time to clear up some space in the park, which might be why they've started track production so early. Valleyfair just needs a new coaster, one with inversions is even more needed. But overall, IF THE COASTER ISN'T INTERNATIONAL, I think this coaster could be for SF St. Louis. That park is now the Wooden coaster "capital" of Six Flags, and could seriously use a new, steel looping coaster. They have tons of room behind the Tidal Wave flume ride. Only flaw is that the park is pretty close to SFGam and their wing coaster...
  3. Standing in line for the Carolina Cyclone at Carowinds, 2009: Guy behind me's telling his friend about how Son of Beast used to have a loop but because wooden coasters have no wheels under the track it fell in the loop and everyone died. So they took the loop out (at least he got that part right!).
  4. Love the U2 reference in the first batch of pics! Looks to be a great ride as well, well enough to make a trip back to BBW.
  5. ^ Yes they still have Greezed Lightnin'. Thunder Run, Twisted Twins, T2 and the Roller Skater are all still there.
  6. Anyone else notice how both giant B&M coasters being built this year are being built over "Dragon" coasters?
  7. Having been on Mantis, Iron Wolf, Chang, and Vortex (Carowinds), I would go with Mantis. While Chang is very very similar to Mantis with an added corkscrew, Mantis' forceful figure-eight finale I much prefer to Chang's boring meandering about. Also, I would vote Vortex over Iron Wolf.
  8. ^ Looks like, with their location, they'd most likely be brake fins.
  9. I loved this. Seriously, great news. Also, for some reason Coke always seems to taste better in a cup to me. Maybe that's because it's like $4.50 along with a 6.00 turkey leg at SFGAm.
  10. I'm gonna guess a Zacspin for that area. It would fit pretty nicely.
  11. Yes it does very much. For the record, Batman used to be black. Hopefully when Batman is repainted it will get the blue color that Magic Mountain and Over Georgia got.
  12. I would say "asset (for lack of a better term)," but I understand what you're saying. Yeah, I have a thing for stand-ups. But if the park ever does decide to remove it, Michigan's Adventure could use it!
  13. ^ Yeah, I was merely saying if ANY coaster was to be removed, I personally would choose Grizzly. But I don't want anything to be ripped out anyway. And I hadn't seen the GCI prints with the sky tower, that looks great!
  14. I know a lot of people dislike Vortex and want it removed, but really, despite it's roughness it's still an asset to an increasingly coaster-scarce park. If they remove any coaster (and I hope they don't), I think it should be Grizzly. If they can get the GCI on the land where Whizzer used to be then that's awesome. I also think if the GCI falls through the area would be perfect for a small Intamin Blitz like Maverick. Oh, and put either a Windseeker or a Screamin' Swing in Invertigo's old spot.
  15. The WINNER is Wicked Twister's theme song. It's Wicked Twister. BAM!
  16. Cornball Express in the back seat had me almost flying into the log flume. El Toro was sweet also.
  17. Hi, my name is Austin and I live in Moline, IL. That makes my home park either SFGAm. or Adventureland in Des Moines. I'm 18 and go to college right across the Mississippi in Davenport Iowa. I've been on 117 coasters. I will say I have a high tolerance for roughness, as I've found rides like The Rattler, Mean Streak, T2 all to be really fun. Favorite coaster is Millennium Force, with Apollo being a close second. I'm super happy that I got to Big Bad Wolf and Chang the year they both closed, and the oddest, most out of the way parks I've been to are Silverwood in Idaho (which has three absolutely amazing coasters) and Waterville USA in Alabama (which has one average coaster). I hope to one year be able to go on a TPR trip!
  18. Your POVs, coasterforce's POVs (for the non-mounted perspective), and screamscape updates.
  19. Six Flags Great Adventure Cedar Point Six Flags St. Louis Coney Island/Scream Zone/Luna Park Cedar Point Six Flags Great America x2 Worlds of Fun
  20. Mayan Mindbender got relocated as well. It's Hornet at Wonderland in Amarillo. For me, I'd have to say...Shockwave at SFGAm. I mean, yes they should keep the Whizzer, but SERIOUSLY they could have found room for Superman somewhere else.
  21. Yeah nevermind Excalibur, sorry
