Quick question. I am fine with the ATM-churning out Canadian money, but some friends wonder if there are any places in the park that American cash can be converted for Canadian. Is this service offered? Come to think of it, is US money allowed to be used in the park?

Great, this has helped out a lot, thanks everyone. If there are any other tips or anything, please share!

Hey guys, I know this is pretty short notice, but I am planning an end-of-summer trip to Canada's Wonderland driving from Cedar Point on Monday 8/12. My group and I have pretty much decided on Fast Lane Plus because Behemoth and Leviathan are obviously worth it. But I had some questions: 1) MONEY. How does money work here? Cedar Point has Canadian money exchange, does CW offer the same in reverse, or do they take US? Should I convert some to Canadian beforehand? 2) A few coasters (Time Warp, Fly, Bat, Dragon Fire, Thunder Run) do not have Fast Lane. I know that these aren't the premier coasters at the park, but I'd like to get the credits. Is it best to knock them out early or is there a good time for them? 3) Flats. I want to get on most of them, especially since CW has some unique ones. Any that are really must-rides, though? 4) Any great (or 'magic') seats on any of the coasters? Any help would be totally appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I don't understand the hate for Boss's helix. To me, it's incredibly forceful, relatively smooth, and a great finale to the ride. An inversion would be sort of cool, but to me the Boss is already a balls-out awesome woodie. Why mess with something already good? -
A Vekoma SLC over a really unique Intamin launched coaster? To each his own, but you may have ridden the SLC one too many times! You should get that checked out by a doctor. And if the doctor doesn't work out, maybe just stay in the Asylum...lol. Cool list! I agree with Kawasemi, having just ridden it during my Japanese study semester. Although I will have to say I didn't find it quite as amazing as all the hype. Still a top-five multiple reride fun session, though. Having only been on two, Kawasemi and El Toro, I have some work to do. Maybe I can hit Pyrenees before heading home.

^^I highly doubt that BG is boycotting GCIs and I wouldn't blame GCI for Gwazi. Personally I see no one to blame for roughness other than the park staff, but even they have gone to some great lengths to fix Gwazi up. I want to seriously ask though, having not ridden Gwazi, is it actually THAT rough? Like compared to Rattler (old version), Mean Streak, Ghostrider? Even if it is comparable to those coasters, I think it would be a mistake to remove Gwazi. Wood coasters have good and bad years, I mean, Mean Streak was actually running REALLY good 2012. I would certainly hesitate to remove a 1999 GCI.

Looks like Viper to me, you can see the lift behind the kid. -
I think the beginning of the ride looks amazing and will probably have some incredible airtime. But, in my opinion, it seems to take too many elevated turns toward the end, and even in the animation they seemed to be taken sort of slowly. All GCIs seem to have great pacing though, so I'm sure it will turn out fine.

I think this might have been mentioned a while back, but Flashback has two trains, right? And one of them is from SFKK's old Vampire? Which train is which now? -
First Defunct B&M?

I was actually pretty surprised Orochi got relocated, but I think it's pretty safe in its current location. Even if Walygator suddenly goes under (not likely), I think a great invert like it has a shot at another relocation. (Just somebody paint the dang thing). -

Robb is right, Led Zep/Time Machine hasn't run in quite a while. I didn't realize how long it's been. Is it being maintained at all or is it just rotting away? Either way, I'm still going to go with Vortex. Although I suppose it stands a good chance of eventual relocation in the Cedar Fair chain. There's also the factor of all the "outlying" B&Ms. Stuff I see on RCDB and think, "Oh, that's kinda weird." Coasters like Lightning at Entertainment City in Kuwait or the two B&Ms at Jansufun in Thailand. I don't know too much about those. -
There are no defunct B&M coasters. There have been a few relocations, but one has not yet bitten the dust. I thought it would be interesting to see what people's opinions were on what the first defunct one might be. As for me, I personally think Time Machine will eventually be relocated, so I will have to say one of the older standups, maybe Vortex at CGA. It's old, relatively rough, and people don't have a great opinion of it.

I suppose it's possible, as they have kept the cars. But I see it as highly unlikely. In my view the cars will either be used as parts for other parks or just scrapped altogether. Car rides--while classic and fun--just aren't big draws today. I think--especially since they have kept Iron Wolf's station--that a new coaster will be there eventually.

^ Yeah, not to get too far off of SFMM's topic, but Goliath is Six Flags New Orleans's old Batman, which was originally from a Japanese park. It was the only inverted Batman in the 6F chain to not have the extensive cave theming. I think that by 2003 Six Flags had either given up on that much $ spent on a station or just really didn't care about SFNO. Either way, I also prefer open stations.

I think the Boss works already as SFstL's signature ride. It, like Ghostrider, could benefit from Topper track if anything. I think Mean Streak. As much as I still love the ride (much smoother in 2012 than in years), it's still pretty boring. Best case scenario Cedar Point RMCs Mean Streak one year and adds another amazing woodie to the lineup the next.

TPR's Mexico Tour Mini Updates

I should have asked earlier, but at SFM how was the super-old Boomerang and the Dark Knight Coaster? I think I saw a trip report where it showed the DK Coaster as actually having decent theming outside the station (although the ride still wasn't good). -
I was wondering actually, how far you could go into Movietown before you were blocked off? It is connected to Old Country, which is still off access, right? I went in 2011 and forgot to check, but Movietown was absolutely pitiful! It was the two Batman coasters and that was it. The place was deserted as well, Batman was a walk-on. That section needs a serious rehab.

^ Hmm, I would actually be okay with that...just as long as some other hand-me-downs aren't Boomerang quality (although the Boomerang looks great). Astroworld accumulated a pretty unique set of rides over the years. But we need more years to see if SFstL will continue Astroworld's trend. Personally, I think something big should be coming as the last 3 coasters have been relatively minor. -

Great footage! It might be just me, but Cascabel doesn't seem to go as fast or high as some other shuttle loops, was it noticeably any slower than the others? -

Superman looks a lot better than Mamba, Wild Thing, and Steel Eel (the Morgans I've ridden). Medusa looks great as well, reminds me of The Boss. -
I would just like to say that DisneySea was incredible (although Raging Spirits was down for maintenance). And that Kawasemi is amazing!
