  1. We're looking at Cedar Fair, not some high-class company like Universal or Disney. The most Cedar Fair could do is add some "toxic barrels" and maybe theme the train a tad. That is the most you would probably expect though. On the other hand, I can see it being some track for a new copy of Green Lantern, as mentioned before. The only real conflict now is the decision between Six Flags/SFOT and Cedar Fair/KD. If it were a Six Flags ride it might be Green Lantern, if it is a Cedar Fair ride it might be X-Flight.
  2. SFOT just got the New Texas Giant last year. I wouldn't expect anything new and 'amazing' for a few more years. Plus the park is pretty landlocked, not tons of space to go around anymore.
  3. No kidding about being shoehorned. That thing gets awfully close to Demon and Dare Devil Dive. Hopefully it can enhance the experience a little bit! Thanks for the trip report you two, great photos.
  4. I don't know how to respond to this amazingness brought upon us. Just. Yeah.
  5. Ugh. If I must... Anyway, I'll attempt to make it to Worlds of Fun for the event. I will look at the website later tonight to find out all the information. Hopefully I can make it!
  6. Hopefully *maybe* I'll go to the event at Worlds of Fun this year. I don't know though. I do not think I can ride a coaster for six hours.
  7. I'm loving what I'm seeing! Using that wooden track for a "median"-type thing is exotic and different! Great work.
  8. That is literally impossible unless you forgot to save the game. By the way, all you have to do to take screenshots is press "f10" or "f11" on your keyboard. I don't understand how you knew how to record but not to take a picture...
  9. Arches, my latest RCT3 firework show!
  10. /\ I only understood like two words of that. By the way, do you have a source to this rumor, if not, where did you hear it from? I have never heard anything like that.
  11. Oh, I have horrible *soaking wet* memories on the American Plunge. I come off drenched every time, which is why I passed it on. Plus it's boring and very slow-paced until the final drop. I could personally do without it. Thanks Jer, Chad, Griffin, and others! I'm happy my thread made it to two pages!
  12. Silver Dollar City is definitely something you need to visit if you haven't. All around it's a great park. One thing that bugs me is the business, lines are horrible. It took an hour to get three hamburgers for my sisters' friends. Thanks guys!
  13. Thanks man! Glad you like the photos. I actually did see some foundation for (what it seems to be) footers from an angle on Giant Swing. All I can say is that the ride is going to be large.
  14. Yesterday I had the ability to attend Silver Dollar City's opening day. First thing to say: it was packed! Everywhere you walked, there were people. It was a rare occasion to not find guests. Ride lines gradually increased throughout the day; I think Powder Keg reached 2 hours at one point sooner or later. How were the rides themselves? Intense, short, and exciting. The park is basically made up of quick rides. Every once in a while you'll find a long ride like.. hmm... can't seem to think of any! But yes, for the rides SDC has, they are intense and speedy! I guess it's to keep the lines moving or something... Highlight of the day? Wildfire and Powder Keg are fan favorites for sure. There are also some flats like Electro Spin and Giant Swing that keep the lines coming. Silver Dollar City, like usual, has an outstanding line-up of shows, rides, and attractions. Something that I noticed in the "Wilson Farm" section of the park was construction. Lots of it. It's spanned behind Giant Swing, over the railroad, and to an area farther out. Does anybody else smell Rocky Mountain Coasters? While I was heading to the park we saw Celebration City. Poor park. I also noticed Thunderbolt was being dismantled to travel somewhere else. People. Move. I'm trying to take a picture of Silver Dollar City's entrance. Thanks sign. Without you we would get lost. Welcome... To... The park. Oh, hello! I rode Thunderation twice. Too bad this was the only decent picture I took. Enough of this "building" stuff. Let's get to the rides! *Sniff sniff* I smell fire... P-Keg! Who decides to do one train operation on the busiest ride in the park? I only got one pic of the coaster's train. ..and THIS was that one picture.. "Fire-in-da-holeeee!!!" River Blast is somewhere back there. I passed the opportunity on. The mansion. Home of the Giant Swing! Plus something else for next year... I smell drilling machinery... WAIT. Construction! Since that was all I could see, those are the two pictures of the future ride/attraction. -------- Let's head back to Wildfire... Erm. No thanks. I'd rather not have a soaking wet butt today. Going up... Going down... Who knows how many coaster nerds have taken this traditional Wildfire shot. -------- At the opposite end of the park, you'll find the Grand Exposition! I officially love this ride. Keep on walking... I see you back there Mr. Mighty Galleon! HEY. OLD LADY. Get out of my picture! Lightning would make this two times better. ..and that concludes this look at Silver Dollar City's 2012 Opening Day! I hope you enjoyed, see 'ya around the forums!
  15. Man, it's been a while since there has been a post in here! Anyway, here is a picture of the rendering for their new cabins at the park- from Facebook. I like it, although, it doesn't necessarily "fit" the park too well. At least it's appealing to the eye. Nice and cozy!
  16. The park has posted two pictures of construction on their Facebook. You can already see the foundation coming in! LINK
  17. I remember years ago before I was a member, I read a trip report on this from the Midwest trip in 2007. That Cyclone coaster they had looked magnificent, as well as the slides. I'm glad Oceans of Fun still has a great collection of old slides, these Proslides and WhiteWater West ones are showing up all over, it's a rare occasion to come across an older one. Sad to see this place go.
  18. The park has already confirmed that no damage has been done to the park Blurgghh. Thanks Jeremie, haha. So is the park typically busy on their first day of operation? It is a thursday, but I think Branson-area schools get out that day. Hopefully it isn't too bad.
  19. Something bugging me is the lack of angled supports for the wooden coaster. Real woodies have angles that can make an "[X]" or a "[/]". Otherwise, this park is looking really nice!
  20. I will be going to the park this upcoming Thursday for opening day. I'll check if damage was done to any sections of the park. I'll also have a photo TR!
  21. Awesome photos man! It's weird seeing the park in its winter stage.
  22. It's really strange looking at it. Very bizarre. Hopefully it will have good capacity so lines can move faster. Then again, it is a water park, nothing moves quick there!
  23. Most of your buildings do look spectacular, but a couple are square and non-detailed. Like Apollo X's station could use some different windows and maybe different walls. Those brick one's don't look too great. But this park is getting somewhere, can't wait for more!
  24. Dragon Kahn looks so dinky compared to that massive structure.
  25. Prowler wins, hands down. Ozark Wildcat is a close second though, it provides some hops near the end. But on Prowler, you can get tons of floater, occasionally ejector.
