  1. New passes were just released...
  2. You said cheap, but you didn't say if you wanted to fear for your life all night or not. I am pretty loyal to the choice hotels brand, so I can't say for the other hotels in the area, but.... -- my advice. The location can't be beat for the price. Choice hotels map:
  3. Yes, the posters are awesome and high quality. They were even able to handle a special request because me and my fiancee had an awesome story to go with one of the rides on one of the posters so they were able to do some special customizations on the poster just for us. Very cool and way above and beyond anything we expected. The rest of their stuff looks great too, but they go out of stock pretty quick!
  4. I went to MELT during Halloweekends but unfortunately they were running a limited menu. The food was decent, but also very heavy. Very reasonable $$$ for the amount of food. I did decide to try out the Platinum meal plan this year, so I doubt I'll be back unless it's for an alcoholic drink. (though it sounds like there will be more options outside of melt this year 8)) -- it looks like there will be better food options overall thanks to the overhaul of Frontier Town, in addition to the mysterious boardwalk.
  5. The killers - Run for cover
  6. We have stayed at the Comfort Inn in Bordentown twice and I don't recall any issues. Same with Quality Inn near Princeton. In a few weeks we are going to try the McGuire AFB / Fort Dix Quality Inn for the first time. It's a little bit more out of the way for us despite being the same drive length to the park as the other hotels (we are coming from the North, though), but a lot of people seem to rave about their breakfast and there will be four of us in tow for two nights... lol. Priorities! It was the same number of points for that and Bordentown Comfort Inn (though more than my usual spend!) so we went with Dix this time around. I'll be sure to report back on their breakfast, lol.
  7. Awesome report! Just got back from a Knott's trip myself a few months ago, though I had a much better time on Ghostrider than you did . I like Silver Bullet a lot as well. Didn't make it to Disney but maybe the next time I'm out there... the more I read about it the more I want to go.
  8. ^ Unfortunately I believe Cedar Point is the only Cedar Fair park with that perk. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
  9. Yes.. but you can require a note from a doctor without stating the actual disability. Six Flags requires a doctor's note and I think more parks should move to this system. Its also not a skip the line pass, it's a "not wait in the physical line" pass... At BGT and SeaWorld Parks you get a time to return after waiting in a virtual queue. Same with Cedar Fair.
  10. Poland Springs Plunge[emoji768] (R.I.P. ) doesn't get you soaked which is what makes it a decent ride. If you want to get soaked you have Grizzly Run and Shipwreck to satisfy those requests. PSP has two drops and a tunnel with a light misting so it was an OK little ride.
  11. Apple Zapple cures all that is wrong with the world. Kind of.
  12. X That was hard.
  13. ^ I don't disagree with any of those statements. Opening weekend, which I do normally attend on Sunday, is a little crazy operations, maintenance, and closures wise. But like you said, I can just take a 4 hour drive whenever I feel like it and don't feel the need to complain about every little thing. I'm excited to read how many pissed of people from Saturday who had to wait 7 hours to ride Steel Vengeance and that it broke down 10 times. Those 1 star Facebook reviews will roll in quickly, lol. Opening SUNDAY the lines really aren't too bad other than the breakdowns, you'll have the first 2 hours of the day to ride anything you want with little to no wait while everyone runs to Steel Vengeance. At least that is my prediction. Tentatively my thinking is while everyone runs to SV, I ride Maverick a few times, then get in the FL+ line at 9:30... so yes I will wait a half hour because there is no FL+ during early entry, but I'll already have my wristbands etc for when FL+ opens at 10:00 while everyone else goes to the 2-3 hour early entry line. Just based off how Valravn went opening Sunday. I'm not going to get there at 7am like I'm guessing a lot of people will. Of course, there are always curve balls opening weekend, so we'll see. Even if I don't get to ride SV, I'll be happy, because it's friggin Cedar Point.
  14. Wow, $110 FL+ for opening day w/o discount is actually a lot cheaper than I was expecting. I'll still wait until Sunday to go (and wait to know the status on other attractions opening for the season or not before I go), but color me surprised.
  15. Yeah FL+. Oh well, I'm turning 65 soon, and leave it at that. Thanks for the correction. No worries, I was referring to the original post by WonderlandMan, they mentioned Platinum but it sounded like they were talking about Fast Lane? That's why I talked about both just in case
  16. ^^^ are you talking Fast Lane+ or are you talking about a Platinum season pass? Platinum gives you 1 hour early access. The line for Maverick & Millennium Force has never gotten over 15-20 minutes in my experience though we don't go on Saturdays; we usually power ride Maverick with 5 min waits, then head to Millennium Force, then hit Dragster at 10a when that opens. Or MF, then Maverick a bunch of times, then Dragster. Always those 3 rides, though. Everything will change with Steel Vengeance, though. Platinum also gives you a discount on Fast Lane, and free parking. Depending on the size of your party, and depending on if you'll be going to another Cedar Fair park (it sounds like you live near Wonderland -- they usually offer good deals for bring a friend tickets with a season pass), it may be worthwhile to invest in at least one platinum pass just to get the discount for FL+ (significant discount) and the bring a friend discount (it's not much -- EDIT: $43 per ticket total but you can buy up to 4 with one pass) for everyone in your party. If Fast Lane is $80 and FL+ is $120 (I'm just making up numbers for a Saturday, I don't know how much it will be the day you are going) that's a discount of $40 per person just for having a Platinum pass. You only need one pass for all these discounts. Plus parking, and pretty much 10% off everything else. EVERY coaster twice or more is going to need a FL+, in my opinion, especially with the addition of Steel Vengeance. The line for Valravn can get pretty long too. Even though it's earlier in the season, it's still June and it's still a Saturday. Good luck! You'll have an awesome time.
  17. I could have used this image about 8,000 times since it's inception but I figured it was time to bring it back from the dead... lol I know i originally didn't know what to think, but now that my brain has calmed down I love that Six Flags actually made a unique name so kudos to them.
  18. Oh, wait, you ARE serious. I thought Boldikus was just being the typical ass he is and keeping the joke going, as I googled it and had 0 relevant results. Then I went to the official page... I don't even know how to respond.
  19. I saw these on Shark Tank recently. Might be helpful! -- https://www.showerpill.com/

  21. In 2017: Samples cost 1 ticket for both food or drink. A full plate of food or a full size alcoholic beverage is 3 tickets. Bottle of soda is 1 ticket. Each book / entry is 15 tickets. You can buy an additional book of 15 tickets for $20 after you go through your first book. Get 15 sodas and resell them in the park and profit!
  22. lmao. Good catch. *shifty eyes* (I guess maybe I should have spent 3 minutes on these photos instead of 2 )
  23. I just looked at my old ticket purchase and believe the advance price online was good for anyone, not just pass holders. Passholders got the free bonus beverage coupon, though, upon picking up their wristbands. So yes, still cheaper to buy online even if you are not a passholder. That is, if my memory and interpreting my confirmation email is correct. * Note: food and beverages are not allowed on the rides, as I later found out Trip report: It's awesome. What specific questions did you have?
  24. ^ well the good news is you get an extra hour with the time zone change for Holiday World! -- Good luck with that plan! Have you been to Holiday World or Holiwood Nights before? It's an awesome event 8) it's just too bad you'll have such limited time at CP.
