Do you scream on roller coasters?
MattJackson replied to Thrillrider15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I scream at the wierdest times. I scream on lift hills, and I scream going up hills, I scream on all brake runs, hell, I scream in the station every now and then. And the one time I screamed in the queue line... And I mean scream, like a girl kind of scream. My friends think ite hilarious when I scream on Nitro's final bunny hills while everyone else is just waiting for the brake run. -

well, hated my freshman year, and i've never been on an SLC, so i'd take the SLC. Would you rather live in New Jersey, or Montana?

Steel Poll Results are in
MattJackson replied to ParkTrips's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm surprised that Nitro is up there. I didn't find anything special about it. It seems so average compared to other park's coasters. -
I just looked at the sites, and I didn't see any of this. Did they recently change this? SEASON PASSES All Season Passholders MUST present their pass to gain entrance to the park. When leaving, get your hand stamped before you exit and re-enter through the Same Day Re-Entry Gate. Season Passes are not transferable. This doesn't mean no re-entry. ^This is directly from the site.

KK gets 128 in 4 seconds and TTD Gets 120 in 2.8 seconds. That's one of the best POV videos I've seen of any rocket coaster (aside from the ones from the actual park)! Usually as they start, the camera goes crazy and somehow finds the track in front of it. Yeah, changing the facts won't make it any better. KK goes 128 in 3.5, and TTD goes 120 in 4. KK, acording to coaster-net.com, has the third fastest acceleration on a coaster, while TTD has the fifth, being separated by Storm Runner. The website even says 120 in four seconds! I think they'd know better then you would.

^ Yeah, they are opinions. The first drop is CRAZY, man! That makes up for the rest of the ride, IMO! -

ummm, did anyone else think something completely unrelated when they read the topic title, even for a second? I may just have a dirty mind... -
Millenium Force
MattJackson replied to MattJackson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks! But I can't believe I didn't look there ..... -
Does anyone know the 10 records Millenium Force broke when it opened? I've looked on many sites and all they say is that it broke 10 records when it opened, including records for height and speed. So, can anyone help me out?

Which is worse, Arrow or Vekoma?
MattJackson replied to MLRC7 CP's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have to say Arrow. Vekoma, IMO, is rougher than arrow, and Arrow has made some pretty good rides. Great American Scream Machine at SFGAd is pretty rough, but they have done good jobs on occasion, like Magnum at Cedar Point. And Arrow corkscrews are, in general, more popular than Vekoma corkscrews. -
