  1. 1.) Lightning Rod 2.) Valravn 3.) Other RMC creations 4.) Taron It seems like I, like everyone else in this thread, am also planning a trip to Dollywood. A lot of nice looking coasters at that park. Cedar Point is my go to park, so I follow everything they do closely. Still haven't gotten on a RMC yet (next month!), but they all look amazing. Taron and the Ferrari World projects look brilliant as well, but there's a very low chance of riding them at this point in my life.
  2. The early leak said 223 foot drop. The new permit posted 230. I wouldn't expect any higher than that. It's going to be a beast. We will know all details on Wednesday. Best drop in the park has to be Maverick. GateKeeper and Millennium are both amazing as well.
  3. Manage your expectations, bud. You're visiting in the off season, there's a 99% chance over half of the coasters will be shut down. It isn't a main point on the trip, so I'm not too worried. As long as TC is open.
  4. Just over a month until I get to go to this coaster mecca. Can't wait to finally be able to debate both sides in those Cedar Point vs Magic Mountain threads. And ride that new RMC, and that flyer, and X2, and Lex Luther... Yeah, this is gonna be good.
  5. I'd assume Flyers as well. I just wish they would get the Knoebels version.
  6. Most of the information presented by Matt was exactly what I want to hear, as a fan of Cedar Fair. The only thing that could concern me is the comments about spacing elements, and not having coasters that are too intense. On the other hand, I love hearing so much talk about RMC.
  7. Don't do it. Spend that time enjoying Maverick, Dragster, Millennium, Rougarou, Raptor, GateKeeper, Gemini, and Wicked Twister... I seriously need to get back to Cedar Point for the 15th time, so many epic coasters.
  8. Mine was Wild Thing. I wouldn't be that upset if they removed it.
  9. KD stealing.... your coaster!? KD is going on 7 seasons without a coaster and you're going on 5 (technically 2, if you count WMG). And now you complain about a unique and awesome looking flat ride? Come on, stop being spoiled, you got Leviathan relatively recently. If anything next year, you guys would be stealing KD's coaster. You're stealing that coaster from VF.
  10. This is going to be good. Still can't wait for the announcement, but I look forward to construction more.
  11. Also seems to depend on the ride. Sitting in the station, I found Thunderbird's felt much tighter on my shoulders and more uncomfortable than Banshee's or GateKeeper's. GateKeeper used to do that as well. They fixed it towards the end of it's inaugural season.
  12. No seat belts and airtime galore. It's worth the trip to Knoebels just to ride it. I haven't been on many good wooden coasters, but it's easily the best.
  13. I'm just shocked they didn't name it Dive Hawk.
  14. GateKeeper is my favorite B&M in the park. I prefer it to both Raptor and Rougauru. This DIve Coaster looks better then Gatekeeper, IMO. Maybe not enough to knock Maverick, TTD, or MF out of my top 3, but awesome anyways. Cedar Point continues to have the best lineup of coasters you're going to find at a park. No, it's not Wildfire, or the Dollywood coaster, but it will be a reliable, high capacity, fun coaster, at America's Roller Coast.
  15. This post is erie. I can't believe what I'm huron. Millennium, Dragster, and Maverick are the reason Cedar Point is still my favorite park. I go to Kings Island, and everything is amazing, but they don't have any coasters that can compete with the big three. ...but mostly Maverick.
  16. if you go on one of the fright fest fridays, during the day it shouldn't be crowded. October 8th is the date I'm looking at. So it's definitely a Friday. I haven't looked into it much, except to see that the park was open. Or if I'm broke from Vegas, I'll be heading to Knotts Berry Farm since I have a Platinum pass. Hopefully that isn't the case though, as I need some Twisted Colossus.
  17. Still a better Love Story than Twilight
  18. Can't say for sure, but it appears that the crowd levels have been really insane over the last couple of weeks.
  19. Looks like I'll be able to get to this park this season. I look forward to comparing the coasters to Cedar Point and the rest of my relatively small Amusement park lineup list. I'm just assuming it's going to be slammed at the beginning of October?
  20. Really? I get a different head bang entirely.
  21. Had to vote for Maverick. It has everything I look for in a coaster; Quick transitions, airtime, great drop, launch, duration, comfortable restraints.
  22. Glad to see the last few weeks have had a ton of guests in the park, it seems like Cedar Point hasn't had that enough over the last two years. The huge number of people in the park is the main reason I like that Cedar Point keeps going with B&M. GateKeeper, Raptor, Rougarou, and hopefully said Dive Coaster have great capacity and reliability!
  23. Nothing fishy here, that was a damn good post. This line made me laugh, and you followed it with much insight and truth bombs. I first joined a coaster forum (ThemeParkCRITIC) at around his age, and it was rough sledding at times.
  24. now the moment of truth... CP or CW? Valleyfair, obviously.
