1.) Now why on earth would magic mountain sell a season pass with coupons and no blockout dates for $49 DOLLARS?! Because they can! Why else would they advertise half price tickets on Coke cans... and... um... I forget what else 2.)B: have money to upgrade the facilities and upkeep the painting etc. Um.. where the heck have you seen THIS? I'd kill to see a repainted Ninja, Goliat Viper, Revy... hell, just repaint SFMM in its entirety!!! It would be so nice... Yeah, my husband just got (sort of) the same thing in the mail! One free one-day admission And/OR season pass; $15 off a one-day pass if you buy a full admission; and one free annual pass if you buy a one day admission And we have never been there either!!! (Well, I worked there for about a month and a half, but that doesn't count) Isn't it amazing what parks do to get you to visit? LOL! XD -amanda

That's not fair!! I've flown to and from the East Coast several times, and NEVER have I gotten to change planes in Vegas! rrrr! Try taking US Airways to Sacramento--pretty fair chance you'll go through Vegas, it seems (ever since they merged with America West). US Airways stinks 'cause they bought out PSA... anyways, I only fly Southwest

The best carnival I've been to is Home Days in my hometown, Garfield Heights, Ohio. They always had the best selection of rides (woohoo, RING OF FIRE!! always used to be one of my favorites) and the best food (Elephant Ears and Euclid Beach Frozen Custard!). So, my best carnival would consist of those, plus: Sooper Slide Hi-Roller (I know this is a flat ride but my brother went on it once and said it ruled; I haven't had the chance) Scrambler A good Ferris Wheel (you know, one of the bigger ones with the buckets) um.... and lots of good nacho stands.

Yeah... and it was weird, we were leaving the park on Friday and I swear to cookies, the lights on Flashback were ON from the time it took us to walk from Log Jammer to that Palace Arcade thing. I know... that and the whole rest of the park. Everything SF built, they gave a halfway decent name. Now they're all really lame. I mean, look at it: Beaver Land Mine Ride (um, I think that was Road Runner Express) Dominator (Batman Knight Flight. On a side note, I've heard that they play Pink Floyd's "Welcome to the Machine" in the queue nowadays... can anyone vouch for this?) Head Spin (Mind Eraser) Steel Venom (Superman Ultimate...Flight? It's been a while) Thunderhawk (Serial Thriller) Obviously I didn't include goodies that didn't have a name change: Big Dipper (awesome at night, especially when it's slow or just before close, they send you through twice) Villain (take my word for it...NEVER ride this in the rain) Raging Wolf Bobs (sometimes shaky, sometimes not... go figure) Double Loop (what a great, classic 90 second ride by Arrow) ...and the almighty X-Flight, which I'm hoping Tatsu will somewhat resemble. Oh, and gone but not forgotten, my first coaster (at 9 years old)... that awesome corkscrew one that they took out to build Mind Eraser. What a lame tradeoff, IMHO!! -amanda

Anyways... yeah, Canyon Blaster is a pretty fun coaster, if you want to cough up the six bucks or whatever. I haven't been on Speed still. The one on top of the Stratosphere is pretty cool too... ...and I think this is the third time I've said this on this board, but Manhattan Express is the WORST coaster I've ever been on. I mean, if you think Vekomas are bad... think of any Vekoma, Revolution, Psyclone, and Viper all rolled together into one head-smashing package. Ouch. Awww, that would suck... I grew up in Cleveland and that was the first park I ever went to; I still love it.

That's a good question... does anyone here live in Vegas? I live in LA and was thinking about going sometime soon, but probably waay before January.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. I managed to get on a bunch of stuff in the morning... then after we got back from lunch, next to nothing (aside from like sfmmfreak said, a few Vipers with virtually nobody in the car). If my stupid digital camera would decide it wants to be installed on my computer again (which for some reason it doesn't), I would have taken pictures. But I can't, so here's a mini verbal report: 1)As it's already been said, the Rapids Camp midway is closed and there was a bulldozer on top of Valencia Falls all day. Remember where that footer was before? Almost all the trees near the top of the falls are now toast. It's weird to see the sun reflecting off that giant fountain in front. 2)It doesn't really look like there are any new pieces in the lot (damn). 3)There were a LOT of electrical pipes hanging out in the upper Orient Express station. 4) Tons of trucks and stuff driving around on top of the mountain. I looked several times but still have no idea what the f**k they were doing. Maybe when someone has pictures it will make sense...There's also a big, fat, giant half-square cut out on the side of the pathway, kinda across from Ninja's upper queue house... it's got a few markers near it, and says on the inside, "36 by 48 all" or something like that. Beats me. Um.. that's all I can think of for now. Hope that made some sense. -amanda

Dorney - actually forced to take everything we had on Laser Yeah, Ninja (SFMM) is like that most of the time. It's annoying, balancing a purse (when I feel like bringing one), a souvenir cup (tip: buy one and bring it with you the rest of the year, then you get sodas for a dollar), and whatever the heck else (jacket, etc.) rrr. Then there was the time when we were getting off, I think it was Batman, and my husband tripped over this giant pile of shoes that people had taken off prior to riding. Why the f**k would you wear flip-flops to a place that has stuff that goes upside down? Sheesh.

AAAAAAAAAA! I forgot about that! Now here's the question: will it be more crowded tomorrow or Saturday?
