  1. Top Thrill Dragster Son of Beast
  2. ^ For a NCSO park, that's very impressive. Please make this available for download when you're finished please!
  3. ^ Read a couple pages back and you'll see that they have.
  4. I apologize in advance for the oversized photo, Im in a motel room on a crappy laptop and don't have any tools with which to resize - it's not that I didn't think about it! Mods if you want to/are able to resize for me awesome otherwise Ill change it when I get home. There's a fast lane "gate" right to the left of this photo similar to other rides. I will definitely ask about this when I'm there today. This is very strange considering CP doesn't even list Wicked Twister on their website.
  5. What I find a bit suprising is that Holiday World has won a total of 44 awards, more than any other park (including CP!).
  6. Ouch, 48 inches is too tall to be considered a family ride in my book. Let's hope HW changes it to something more reasonable.
  7. Officially confirmed by Tony. Hopefully there will be more positive reviews now!
  8. Glad to finally see a swinging ship at my home park! Mayflower is such a fitting name! As for the "starting with" comment in the video, I'm putting my money on saying that they are "starting with" more additions to Holiday World over the next few years rather than Splashin Safari. Hopefully, though, I'm wrong and we see another flat announced as well.
  9. I'm betting on Mayflower day. Seems logical to add to the thanksgiving section considering how few rides it has.
  10. If your talking about the switchbacks in the middle, those have been removed. Now the queue is (more or less) a direct shot to the station with no switchbacks
  11. ^ You haven't been "jipped" of a major coaster. Valleyfair hasn't had a new coaster since Renegade in 2007. Michigan's Adventure added a used SLC in 2008, which otherwise hasn't seen new major coaster since Shivering Timbers in 1998! Worlds of Fun got Prowler in 2009. It may have been a while, but you haven't been robbed of a new coaster.
  12. ^ I think that too. While I haven't rode Verbolten yet, Manta was just plain fun! I'd love to see Knotts put in a coaster like that! Mega Lites are good with me too!
  13. agree Agree AGREE! Being tall and riding Magnum is not a good combination!
  14. ^ Haha! Not exactly what I was referring to but I do agree!
  15. I really don't nicknames for coasters in general. Abbreviations for long names (examples: SEFK) but nicknames like "Pocky" or "Millie" (my least favorite) aren't my cup of tea.
  16. ^ Front row is much better IMO. The back just doesn't give much of that "yank" that you would normally get on the drops.
  17. ^ I was completely unaware of this practice. I guess nobody's mentioned it while I've been on here, but I agree that it's pretty cheap-looking to already put ads in your face before you step foot into the park. Oh well, whatever gets the $$$ I guess.
  18. I could see the reason why they renamed it is that the GP may associate the name "Windseeker" with "getting stuck 300 feet in the air." Interesting name and I won't be suprised if it ends up being Knotts'. However if it is actually a new model, that would be more intriguing.
  19. Amazed with the coaster, disappointed by the name!
  20. From today's blog The Faile Family is looking for a little help. Here's the link to their adoption page: http://adopttogether.org/thefailes
  21. The Flying Scooters will most likely be 44" alone, 36-44" with an adult. That info is coming from Lakeside Gliders at MA
  22. This is exactly what Gemini Midway needs. I'm glad they are getting rid of the Gemini kids area and making it all Camp Snoopy. They really needed to bring people to that area of the park again. And I'm really looking forward to the interior redo of Hotel Breakers in 2015!
  23. ^ To further add to this comment I made, the seat divider smacks straight into my hip area, but I didn't think the slamming against was the worst part at all. The Legend is worse at this due to the banking (or therefore lack of) on many of the turns. However, the Raven doesn't really bother me at all with this.
  24. Well I visited my first Rock the World last night (Didn't go last year due to my busy schedule) and I gotta admit, Holiday World knows how to pull off a music festival! With the 2013 additions of the bathrooms and Pepsi Oasis by Hyena Falls, it was very convenient to not have to walk very far for these amenities. The bands were very awesome as well! While Audio Adrenaline and Kutless weren't exactly my favorites, they were really good regardless. Adam Cappa and Switchfoot were the show-stoppers for me, though Switchfoot was probably a given. Overall, Holiday World color me impressed with this festival and I look forward to returning next years! Now what you were (or weren't) probably caring about: The Voyage's very current condition: There are two major areas I would like to see improvements. The first, I can easily say that my least favorite thing about the Voyage is the stupid PTC's on them. I'm 6'2" and PTC's are uncomfortably small to begin with, but when put on a violent ride like the Voyage, you and your riding partner are constantly smacked into each other. The worst area I can think of this happening is in the turnaround and some sections of the spaghetti bowl. Now I know Holiday World is done experimenting new trains, but if RMC becomes a possibility, how about some Outlaw Run trains please? The other problem is the condition of the track at finale after the photo. As soon as you dive into the station flyby, the once psycho, semi-rough ride turns against you and beats you up into the brake run. However, the rest of the track is not that rough compared to the finale. So honestly, some people are being too harsh when they say that this ride is overrated now and is not worthy of its spot in the rankings. I am jumping on the RMC bandwagon and say that topper track is a good solution that will offer a smoother ride to a fantastic wood coaster.
  25. It's a family attraction or something along those lines. Edit: The image i posted has already been posted/discussed. Sorry!
