It's also a slight case of hubris, that classic engineering thing (or anybody who creates, really) where the latest "development" must be used because the alternative is outdated, even if the decision is arbitrary and there wasn't really anything wrong with the old thing. We designed this new thing, therefor it must be better than our old thing, because it's the new thing, and we designed it. Kind of like what George Lucas did to the original trilogy. Sure, you can argue these restraints will give a better ride, but you have to admit, given the number of complaints about GK's restraints and how well the old restraints have stood the test of time, they could have just kept the old restraints and nobody would've complained. My guess is the new restraints offer less head-banging and probably allow larger people to ride. If the trains are like the Flying Coasters, Might be for safety measures as guests can't unbuckle till the ride is over?

Yes I do agree. I think it was two seasons ago that it was down for all but the last week of operation there at worlds of fun. Also if they do sometime remove timberwolf I think it should be replaced by the chance hyper lite. They look really intense like lightning run at Kentucky kingdom. Also I think it would be cool to ride a coaster made in my town because chance is located in Wichita kansas You guys have Mamba. The only way you would probably get a Hyper-Lite is if it was a 300ft attraction.

They might as well just scrap it for a good chunk of change and then use that money to re-invest in the Scenic World area.

I'm surprised that Cedar Fair wants to invest in them but won't add hotels/lodging properties. Canada's Wonderland especially.

Also it was a maintenance nightmare that couldn't open with the park. Also parts couldn't be that hard as it's still operating in Mexico.

They can try all they want but it's probably not going to happen. Let's look at the track record. I may be leaving out some kids rides here but I'm not sure. In 2013 the park opened Safari Off Road Adventure: This was not open on Opening day. It was a pile of dirt. In 2012 the park opened Sky Screamer, Air Jumbo (which was just relocated from storage), Bumper Cars and Deja Vu. These were all empty pads on Opening Day except for Sky Screamer which wasn't open either but at least there was a tower there, the Bumper cars were a concrete path on Opening Day with no hint that there would be a ride there. Four new rides... none of them were ready for opening day. In 2011 Green Lantern was not open for opening day. In 2010 there were no new rides. In 2009 there were no new rides, but they changed Medusa's name to Bizarro and pretended it was new. And guess what... they couldn't even get that ready for opening day! It opened at end end of May! No, I'm not kidding. In 2008 they opened the Dark Knight. This didn't open until May 15th. In 2007 there were no new rides. In 2006 they opened El Toro and Tango. El Toro didn't open until the Summer, Tango was also not ready for opening day. In 2005 they added Kingda Ka which was not ready for opening day, neither was the rest of the Golden Kingdom except for the small part that used to be Frontier Adventures and contained no rides. In 2004 they didn't add anything. In 2003 they added Superman... it didn't open until April 18th (a few weeks into the season). In 2002 they added nothing. In 2001 they opened Nitro on Opening Day. That was 13 years ago and it was the last new ride they managed to open on opening day. Combine this track record with the fact that it's an Intamin ride being built ridiculously far away from the current pathway and there is no chance that this ride is going to be open on time. That doesn't necessarily mean Kingda Ka won't be open, but it's not likely. I don't mean to complain here. I like Great Adventure and I'm really lucky to have El Toro less than 3 hours from my house but getting rides open for opening day isn't their strong point. - Big Red Planes opened in 2007 - Also Golden Kingdom was delayed cause families complained about Bugs Bunny Land closing early

How many waterparks does the LA Area, Orlando, San Antonio, Houston, or Wisconsin Dells have? You could add Sandusky if you want Indoor Waterparks. Supply and Demand Remember, a FREE waterpark is replacing an unused Amphitheater. Why is anyone complaining?

No. Just 2 Slides, Wave Pool, Kids Area, and Skull Island already there.

It's actually not going to be that big. Apart from the play structure there will be 4 water slides and a wave pool. Hopefully they will expand the new area soon. I wouldn't be surprised if the first addition to the Water Park in a few Seasons will be Bonzai Pipelines. They need a lazy river first.

Yeah the ride was violent with 1920s technology. But when you Topper Track it/GCI it with Modern technology, The ride can be more exciting and less violent. Look at Rattler/ Iron Rattler for a comparison.
