[RCT2] PROJECT I: Playland Park (NCSO)
XYZ replied to XYZ's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
In the year 2000, both Pacific Flyer and Terror Mountain received new stations. Here is Terror Mountain's new station. 2001 brought Playland Park's tallest attraction: Boardwalk Blaster. It's a S&S space shot with amazing views of the ocean. Unfortunately, Dodgem, an old classic, had to be removed for Boardwalk Blaster. At least Dodgem/Labyrinth's queue building has been saved. Snowman Spinner was removed for Dragon's Lair, an indoor miniature golf course. Most of you will praise over this: Samurai has been removed for a B&M floorless. The coaster is named Shockwave and it took much effort to make the ride compact in order it to fill the space Samurai was on. Shockwave's lift hill is located on the former site of Samurai's lift hill. Some twistiness! ---------------------- And here are the rides removed in this update: -

Recently, I did see Vortex is in its good form, during the Thank You Thursdays, when I was the only one on the train. (The train went slower through the course, which somehow made it smooth.) It's a really good coaster if they put better restraints on and perhaps, add trims *gasp*. (Plus, they already modified the restraints before when they replaced the old U-shaped ones with the newer V-shaped ones.) -

By vest restraints, I mean more the ones found on flying coasters, wing coasters, and Banshee, with some modifications of course. If there's nothing to hit your head against, you can't have headbanging. (Plus, from what I heard, Arkham Asylum (WBMW Australia)'s new trains made the headbanging basically non-existent.) This is exactly what I'm saying with the vest restraints. -

The only thing I would change on stand-up restraints is to replace the OTSRs with vest restraints. -
Hell. Everyone rejoiced that Tony Hawk's Big Spin/Pandemonium was sent to Hell that it became a holiday: Celebrate Big Spin's Death Day. Then, all Gerstlauer spinning coasters were sent to Hell since they were similar to Tony Hawk's Big Spin. Everyone rejoiced again by...

LEGOLAND California Update! Hello TPR peoply people people, here's an update on this amazing park! If you don't like this park, why are you looking at this? The Big Shop isn't open today. Yeah, I don't think it's going to open tomorrow. (LEGOLAND's website said it will re-open in the Spring!) No worries, you can still buy all your LEGOs here that can exceed the limits of the Six Flags lockers. Poor Build & Test had to be evicted from Imagination Zone for the time being and is now living on top of the Model Shop. Don't stomp your feet too hard or the model builders will get really cranky! Hooray! Star Warts! Home of the best movies in existence: Star Wars: Teh Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Attack of them Clones, & Star Wars: Revenge of the S*** I forgot the exact date its leaving, but it's leaving soon, REAL SOON. It's probably getting packaged up for Germany now. Who cares about the world's largest LEGO model, when you have a Spellbreaker footer! The Dragon received new restraints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I had to bring the news in a rather subtle fashion. The new individual lap bars are a bit uncomfortable for taller people as it puts your legs in an awkward position, but it's not that big of a deal. Through the treeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! I'm going to win TPR's "Officially Original Trip Report of Awesomeness" award from this caption. Robb, you should make this award! TPR represent! Here is the some construction photos of the Chima Waterpark. You can see the very dirty dirt with a fine brown color. The dirt came from Colombia, a world leader in producing the best dirt in the world. As you can see, this dirt will be tough enough to withstand the wait of an ACE member and there will only be a small sinkhole that will form from this great weight. (Sorry ACErs!) Here is a wall. That feels, smells, and tastes like a wall. It's made of cinder blocks, I bet you they come from cinder cone volcanos. Don't worry, there's only two more months left until you can run around in your Speedos at LEGOLAND. End of thy trip report. Comments are, you know, appreciated! -

Nice flyer. It's definitely unique and has some great elements to it. I find it a bit of a coincidence that I'm working on a B&M flyer with a pretzel loop first drop right now. -

SeaWorld Orlando (SWO) Discussion Thread

Humans have been exploiting animals for food and as beasts of burden since the dawn of civilization, arguably earlier if you look how animal skins/furs were used for warmth. Animals are natural resources same as a plant, tree, or anything underneath the surface of the Earth. Plants are considered living things, just like animals. Only plants can't move about and make cute faces or adorable noises. As a vegetarian, you're still denying a plant's right to live and killing it in the most horrific means possible so you can eat. Is an animal so different just because it can walk, make a sound, eat, and crap? Humans live off the planet's natural resources. Always have, always will. We're not perfect, but we are doing a better job of that now than we have in the past. To your point about SeaWorld and seafood, I don't think SeaWorld offers as food the same sea life it puts on display on animal tanks. If it did, then maybe you'd have a point. AFAIK, SeaWorld serves up the same sort of mystery meat fish, shrimp, maybe lobster that could be found in most any restaurant in the world. The world is not going to run out of cod, trout, shrimp, lobster, or any other common ocean delicacy any time soon. Manatees, dolphins, otters, killer whales and the like aren't on anyone's dinner plate at SeaWorld or hardly anywhere else save for the people who literally live on the ocean. That's where the distinction is. There's nothing controversial about serving fish sticks in a restaurant while a killer whale show goes on down the street, just like there's nothing wrong with a zoo serving hamburgers. We aren't eating every animal that walks on land or swims in the sea. The ones we do eat would not be featured in anyone's conservation effort because there wouldn't be any reason. If cows or chickens were endangered, most people wouldn't eat them. There's no issue there. Or am I wrong? -

I think it's quite silly that someone would go after SeaWorld for selling meat products. -
Hooray! TPR's first NL2 coaster. Props to you, Flipdude for building one so quickly, and it looks really good too.

I don't think the problem is with the amount of trains SFMM can operate, I think they can raise the amount of trains they operate and add more staff to the coaster to increase capacity in a more simple manner. I've seen Goliath well-staffed one day and they pushed out a great amount of people causing the line to be shorter than usual.

This is my opinion of the park and quote this as much as you desire. The park does focus on their coasters and honestly, there isn't any coaster in the park that I really enjoy. Heck, only a few of them are really good. A good amount of the coasters in the park have the potential to be way better than what they can be like Revolution, Scream, and Green Lantern, though I see no effort into improving these coasters. Whenever I'm at the park, there really is only a few coasters that I am interested in riding. In most of my visits to the park, I'm in one of two situations: The lines are long and I can either wait in long lines or do nothing as the park offers so few attractions that beat the lines. Or, the lines are short and I accomplish the park in such little time since I am only interested in a few of the rides, plus I feel "coastered" out after riding so many coasters in such a short period of time with a massive amount of walking. The park does actions that are unacceptable such as the effort-less look of Full Throttle and Jet Stream leaking in the same spot for many years. I have hope for the park as I feel that the park is close to greatness. I do not like the direction the park is going as there is such a large mass of rides being added recently yet only a few of them are really good. Plus, they are taking out nice areas of the park for rather ugly-looking areas (High Sierra Territory's removal). If you see me complaining, it's not because I do it for fun, it's because I really want the park to improve and the park to achieve greatness. I'm not really asking for much, I just want some more attention to their existing attractions and for the park to have a little more quality.
