  1. Renaming Flight Deck to commemorate a younger coaster...
  2. My list is the complete opposite of this.
  3. You really do need to go! It's one of my favorite coasters. But then again, my opinion is probably not valid since I've ridden very few coasters outside of SoCal. Your opinion is valid, it really is a great coaster.
  4. Wow, this is really an improvement over the older one.
  5. They didn't need much editing to make the coaster look abandoned.
  6. CGA counted Survivor as a coaster when it opened. As long as RCDB doesn't list it as a credit, CP can count Pipe Scream as a thousand credits, and I wouldn't really care much.
  7. I'm noticing that you and the people who agree with you are all from places other than California. I'm from New York and the 2 times I've been to SFMM I've loved it too, but my guess is that's because I don't live near the park and haven't had time to notice all of the problems. If you are visiting from far away you're too busy running around (probably with a flash pass) riding all of the coasters to notice much else. You also wouldn't know the park well enough to compare it to what it was like in previous years (hey remember when there used to be a tilt a whirl here, and a monorail, and a skyride... and now there's just smoking areas and abandoned stations?). EastCoastKid kind of proved my point by complaining about Great Adventure (which is one of my home parks too). Great Adventure is the best Six Flags park I've ever been to, but because it's my home park there are things about it that bother me because I know the history of the park. The fact that they closed down Old Town and have left a rotting Music Express there for years bothers me, the fact that all of the signs in Nitro's queue and on the lift are gone bothers me, the fact that they have 4 loading stations for Kingda Ka and never use more than one station bothers me and the fact that Golden Kingdom is 2 separate areas that aren't connected to eachother at all bothers me... but if I were from California visiting for the first time I probably wouldn't notice these things. In the case of KK's loading station I wouldn't know that it was permanent so I wouldn't care. I'd be too busy using my platinum flash pass and running around to get all of the credits to notice small details like that. I think that's what's going on when we visit Magic Mountain. You may be right in the fact that people are being too hard on SFMM (though that's not really up to people from all the way across the country to judge), but when you live near it it's hard to avoid it sometimes. I always try to look at Great Adventure objectively and because of that I really like the park. Then again, we have El Toro... and when you have El Toro it's easy to overlook the rest of the park. I agree with this, when I went to Great Adventure last year for the first time, I really didn't see many problems and enjoyed the park. When I first starting going to Magic Mountain, I was more focused on just getting all of the credits, though when I had the park as a home park, the issues of the park were becoming much more blatant. (Sorry, if I'm just reiterating coasterbill's post, it's just that I have experienced all of this.)
  8. It looks like a great ride for the park. I need to get myself down here eventually to snag this credit.
  9. ^Sussoloc. I've always been amused by Magic Mountain distributing the previous years' maps for such a long time.
  10. Their attendance is only about 1.4- 1.5 a year. I wouldn't expect big from them unless it's Gerstlauer or RMC. If that attendance number is correct, that is more attendance than Valleyfair and Worlds of Fun. (I think you can fill in the blanks that these two parks have some large coasters.) 11. I don't want to offend you or anything, DarienLaker, but you were the only person who repetitively suggested the idea of a Pandemonium clone going into Galaxy Theater...
  12. You mean years. The other side of Colossus is literally abandoned nowadays.
  13. I think the new color scheme looks good. It just will take some time to get used to since out of the many visits to the park, you get used to the old color scheme. Once you return to the park and see it with your eyes, I think it'll look good and you won't miss the old color scheme that you are so accustomed to.
  14. I honestly must be the only one who didn't like the colors at knotts. It didn't seem right for a ride themed around flying in the air. I am very glad will be painted like the other windseekers . The colors were perfect for Knott's as it fit well in the Fiesta Village area. Plus, it looked really good in person.
  15. For those of you don't know, this is Kingdom Tower. Which is under construction and will become the tallest building in the world, surpassing Burj Khalifa.
  16. Vortex at Canada's Wonderland has a 48" height limit and the last time I checked, Ohio didn't conquer Ontario...
  17. Well, the other two Arrow suspends at Cedar Fair parks both have 48" height limits.
  18. Well, that stinks... Heck, even Magic Mountain's Ninja has a 42" height limit.
  19. Coastersaurus at Legoland California last Saturday.
  20. I can't wait to check this out tomorrow morning.
  21. San Diego's Manta has a nice twisty section in the second part of the ride.
