  1. Actually in CGA, I call it "Haunt", it's shorter than stating Halloween Haunt all the time though I only say Haunt when people know what I'm talking about.
  2. It makes me sad that my home park, CGA, could've had awesome rides put in but never did, such as: -This Morgan Lift coaster -Hypersonic XLC -GCI Wooden Coaster Though, it seems Invertigo "replaced" the Morgan Lift coaster.
  3. Got mine today, I was excited to see a Carowinds & Cedar Point map plus I was suprised the Legoland map didn't smell. Pictures coming soon... Also, I'm wondering where I can see the dates for upcoming contests.
  4. I went to CGA yesterday and here was some interesting observations: --The park closed at 5:30 because of Haunt and Delta Flyer/Eagle's Flight closed at 5pm! Why does this ride always have to close so early? --In the store, Inside CGA, I found the Michigan's Adventure cap and I found a Cedar Point cap that was brought here by accident. --Firefall was running fire and music making the ride 10 times better. (This one GP asked me if the fire was supposed to go on) --This probably was here all season, though on the bottom of the Logger's Run drop, I saw a new piece of track since it had a stronger blue color than any other peices of track. --Survivor is getting rough and starting to be unbearable with the roughness and the tight restraints --I saw good theming on the Underworld Alley and was amazed it was all built using very cheap materials. Really, CGA usually is supposed to be dead on an October Sunday but it had a good amount of attendance and wasn't a "ghost town" like it was in previous seasons. Though I'm still wondering why Delta Flyer/Eagle's Flight closes early?
  5. Christmas Easter or Thanksgiving?
  6. I think a jungle theme would be nice for this coaster.
  7. I'm wondering, what was with the Intamin track?
  8. Renegade looks too much like Ninja @ SFMM, maybe think of black track, white supports.
  9. Happened to me 3 times, though for some reason they were all 70s KBF coasters.
  10. Who told you that? (BTW X's original paint scheme was terrible. I like the new one better.) In all truth, the station have signs stating wrong statistics
  11. Definite: -California's Great America -Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Maybe: -Six Flags Discovery Kingdom -Gilroy Gardens -Knott's Berry Farm -Six Flags Magic Mountain -Legoland California In my dreams: -Cedar Point
  12. Actually to be honest, everything in Japan has a horrible color scheme.
  13. I think over-the-shoulder harnesses should only be used for coasters with an inversion (unless it's a loop), but other than that I think that a lap bar is all that is needed. Though, a few expections would be a suspended coaster.
  14. rcdb.com/251.htm?p=4856 One of Sky Princess' many color schemes, this one being the worse.
  15. A theme you can use is an old boardwalk theme.
  16. I don't know if this wasn't posted already, but here is a video of a Ron Toomer Interview:
  17. You can put a more creative name for Psycho Mouse and there needs to be more trees next to the mine train, though other that the park looks nice
  18. ^Hasn't posted in 3 days, so I will post: HINT: NOT A VEKOMA
  19. Honestly, if you're thinking about working as an operator at a park, California isn't the place to go. Costs are exorbitant. Your chances are better to move up the ladder heading south to Orlando where no one has had to do a documentary film about how those involved in the tourism industry of the local area are homeless/living in shelters/living in dive motels (which was actually done by HBO a couple years ago about Orange County). If you're looking to stay with Cedar Fair, consider staying with the seasonal parks and try to make contacts elsewhere outside of the chain so you can directly send in your resume if something becomes available. I wouldn't even consider moving to California unless there was a salaried position guaranteed in it. I agree with DirkFunk, heck I have been trying to move out of CA for years. CA isn't the place to go, either stay where you are or move to Orlando.
  20. Well working for Knott's is fine, though I think looking more for working at Diseny is much better. Though, you would just move from the Midwest all the way down to Orange County just to work at Knott's?
  21. I wonder why the sudden change...now a 240-foot tower instead of 150? Hopefully the other flats are still to follow... This is great news, and I wondered why they would put such a short tower for a large park.
  22. 1) EPCOT 2) Knott's Berry Farm 3) Disney's Hollywood Studios 4) Magic Kingdom 5) Disneyland 6) California Adventure 7) Animal Kingdom 8) California's Great America 9) Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk 10) Coney Island Honorable Mention: Belmont Park I went to SFMM and SFDK (When it was SFMW), though I was less than 8, and I didn't enjoy coasters that much so I will leave both parks out.
  23. Supposedly October 30. screamscape.com/html/six_flags_discovery_kingdom.htm Thanks to all who responded on Kong, I will try to get the front and press my cheek against the restraint. I will avoid the back at all costs.
  24. Wow, this was unexpected, actually I didn't even know he lived this long. Though, I don't know if this is true or not, but did Ron Toomer never ride any of his creations?
