On Flight Deck @ CGA, the main ride-op said the statistics of Flight Deck before releasing the train. Usually, I'm fine with that, but he said the WRONG statistics.

Call me optimistic or whatever but I would say that this would mean that CGA will continue to run as its normal self while *finally* investing in it. Thinking about it last night, I can kind of see something like how Universal has it with their City Walk leading up to the park entrance. This could feature high-end dining and retail. I could also see some form of transport between the stadium and the park via a tram/trolly working out. Lastly, especially if parking structures are involved and can take on the capacity of an amusement park and stadium (considering the fact that Universal Studios Hollywood utilizes a parking structure as well as a couple smaller lots), it would be nice to actually see some expansion out into some of the parking lot...a couple nice-sized coasters can fit out there and would be far enough from housing and offices. Just my 2¢. I'm sure I sound like I'm probably heavily fantasizing but these are just some ideas I figured I'd throw out there to share. I like this idea now. If this happens, CGA will be better or tied with SFDK because: CGA-----------------------SFDK Free Water Park----------Free Marine Life Park Entertainment Center----Free Zoo Football Stadium---------Parking Lot Tram!

Just revived a DEAD thread. I like the station in Flight Deck @ CGA since it is outdoors and the "station fly-by" turn goes right near the station. Also, when you're on the ride, look to the right on that turn before the corkscrew and it seems that you're flying by the station.

I remember that. Giant Dipper in Santa Cruz isn't good because you can't pick your seat and the station building is way too small in size meaning it easily goes into the overflow line.

Though, it is very creative unlike the Ojai Valley Taxidermy commercial.

A lot of the lands in CGA are already themed pretty well, it just needs a little more theming. The lands and their theme: -Celebration Plaza - Traditional Southern style, Small Town -County Fair - Carnival, Fair -Action Zone - Just some random theming everywhere -Planet Snoopy - Of course Peanuts theme -Kidzville - Metropolis kid-size -Boomerang Bay - Australian Outback, Australian Coast -All American Corners - 50s, New Orleans, more of a generic "American" theme -Orleans Place - New Orleans Though the Game Time Sports Bar near American Cafe would be easily transformed to 49ers Sports Bar, and I could see All American Corners have some football theme since it makes the most sense to have football there since it is a generic American theme and since football is a big part of how the US is different from other countries.

I really don't want CGA to get too much football theming. Just to have plush footballs as a prize for games is okay. Though, just say re-theming Planet Snoopy to a football theme or re-theme other rides such as Survivor or Top Gun/Flight Deck would just be too much. They can put some things dedicated to football in the park, but I don't want to see ANY rides re-themed to football. Plus, I hope they will build the stadium on the overflow parking lot because if it is on the main parking, it would be a mad house in the main parking lot and the overflow parking would always be full, then they need a tram like in the Six Flags parks to transport people to the park since it is a bit far to walk.

I highly doubt anything good next year. 2013, now that's a different story. There isn't enough time and JMA isn't going to build something huge the minute they get the keys.

I'm just wondering what happened to the Photo Trip Report Archive? The last post was back in 2010 and I have been seeing all current Photo Trip Reports in the Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys forum. So, is it "safe" to post in the forum? Where should the Photo Trip Reports be posted?
