It was a blanket statement. I'm not being sensitive. Milwaukee's Best is a Miller beer. You're out of luck again. -

^ See, all the more reason to buy and drink micro and craft brews. They're tastier and American owned and operated! -
^ Honestly, I didn't have high hopes when the released info on casting two years ago. Now Sunday can't come fast enough!

Just because you drink beer doesn't make you an alcoholic. Um isn't Coors part of Miller? If I recall, they're owned by a South African company. -
Counting yours?

Considering the merged company is going to be named Anheuser Busch-InBev. I think the name will stay the same. For the time being. Or at least until they scrap the parks. -

There's no way the parks are going to go to crap in a year. It could take a year just for the merger to iron itself out. IF it even goes through. InBev doesn't even have the cash for the deal the offered, so let's not go crazy. I can't see the parks getting sold, or going into the crapper for at least two, probably three years. Even then, it'd be hard to say that they'll be terrible. You can't predict it. So why get all nuts about it? Got time to go to the parks now? Then do it. If you don't, so what? -
If it weren't for Wal Mart, Paul and I would still be in Tomah, Wisconsin looking for a tire. I also blame Wal Mart on my obsession with Guitar Hero. It killed a lot of time waiting for the above mentioned tire.

Seriously, this talk needs to stop. The merger hasn't even gone through, why is everyone all up in arms about never getting to these parks? -
^ Dude, c'mon. Where's my 10 Yard Fight sequel? I'm hardcore.

And if you believe that, you're an uniformed White Sox fan. Real baseball fans know that ball was out of play, and Moises was NOT going to get to it anyway. Bartman (who I actually know), did what any other fan would of done. Alex Gonzalez booting a double pay ball was the turning point in that series. The media made it Bartman. -

^ Perhaps waiting to see if the merger even goes through would be wiser than getting your undies in a bunch. Guys, were a long way off before any announcements on the parks comes. Chill out. -
How is that slanted? Women are half of their DS market. They'd be really dumb to ignore them, just to make a few teenagers happy for a "hardcore" game. Sad to say, but any company is going to go where the money is. So to bad, just learn to like Barbie!

Agree with what. That's my list of parks I've been too. As for Yankee Stadium, yes I'll agree on the history. I just didn't think it was all that I had heard about. The concourses are small and dark, the neighborhood is less than diserable, it just didn't have any character. That's my honest opinion. Take it for what it's worth. Which is usually a hill of beans. Ah yes, the Sox/Cubs feud. One of the most retarded arguments in all of sports. I don't hate the Sox, but I don't care for them either. Except for six games of the year, they're irrelevant. Which is the way it should be treated. After I went to a Cubs/Sox game two years ago at Comiskey (the one where Barrett punched AJ) I vowed never to step foot in that place during that series. No offense, Airtime, but Sox fans have a huge case of penis envy. My life was threated four times that game because I was wearing a Cubs hat. Yep, I made Barret punch AJ, therefore you should beat me up. F'in dunderheads. I'm not saying Cubs fans are any better. They're bad too, just in a drunken I don't care about the game sort of way. I don't even go to those games because the fanbase makes me want to puke. Are you here for a game, or to drink? No one that thinks Bud and Old Style should be taken seriously. -
Need help getting to parks 'near' Chicago!
mcjaco replied to d3no's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Frist, welcome to the site! Second, I have to agree with Scott. I think you're out of luck getting any mass transit up to SFGAm. The Metra line Scott's referring to is the UP North line. It doesn't go anywhere close to the park, and that's about the only public transit way to get up there. -
^ It's Japanese. I won't have to replace them for at least 4 1/2 years. Unlike my previous US built POSes.

My Rav4 Sport ('06) has LED taillights. I like them. At least I know I won't have to replace them for a long while.

^ I knew there was a field I was forgetting! Comiskey. Can I count old and new? All you have to do is read the Cubs blog I write at to know I can't stand my own brethren. They annoy the H E double hockey sticks out of me. I'm actually headed to The Cell next week for a season ticket holder event. My buddy is taking me. I get to check out the clubhouses, dugouts, pressbox, bullpens, and even play catch in the outfield. Sound like a PTR? I think it does! Hint, hint! -

Let see: MLB: Wrigley - Obviously. Miller Park Jacobs Field Yankee Stadium Dodger Stadium Bank One Ballpark Metrodome AAA Slugger Stadium (Louisville Bats) Fifth Third Field (Dayton Dragons) A/Independent Flyer Field (Schaumburg Flyers) Classic Park (Lake County Captains) Obviously, I love Wrigley. I hate the fanbase though. As a Cubs fan I'm appalled at the lack of "real" fans there. It really is one big bar. I thought Yankee Stadium was one of the most over rated pieces of crap ever. I liked Dodger Stadium. My first memory of the World Series is watching Kirk Gibson's homer, so it was cool to finally get there and see where it happened. -

You should. It's the only part that matters. The theme park side of this is small potatoes. Although, they're not going to close down breweries, fire thousands of people, and move it all to Mexico. That'd be suicide for InBev and America's number one brewery. -
^ Itotally agree with Elissa. I accidently signed up my wife and I for one at Liberty Tree Tavern, and we had a blast. There's nothing quite like Minnie Mouse flirting with you.

^ You should be fine for one day at Universal in September. Schools are back in session. I went on Saturday in September and did everything I wanted to in less than a day.
