SeaWorld Orlando (SWO) Discussion Thread
JT3000 replied to disneygurlz2s's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I haven't been to a Florida park since... uhhm... last Sunday. Oh right, I live here. Anyway.... Yay for kiddie coasters! No, seriously. Flying Unicorn at IOA is my guilty pleasure. Its meant for kids and I look stupid riding it, but it's still fun! -

He got fired from a park that opened last month, three months ago? That doesn't compute... -
OMG! You said that and I saw riders going into a hole and then coming out of a hole! *DELETE IMAGE!!!* Don't worry, it'd only be about 10 seconds. Speak for yourself.

For anyone who wanted to see, they have photos from last night's employee preview posted on HHNVault.com. The facade for Demon Cantina looks badass. So does the Terra Throne show. -
Halloween Horror Nights 2005

Me? Nope. I haven't seen the indoor houses personally. Word on the street though is that Blood Ruins, Where Evil Hides and Terror Mines look the best. Chainsawwolf.com is a good place to get opinions from scareactors who have been to rehearsals and seen this stuff in action. As well as HHNjournals.com Pictures of Rat Run (and Marvel) - http://www.nicksvideo.com/hhnxv/ -
IOA - Unusual Driving Machines ride

Only the strong survive in the animal kingdom. Even at Disney. The driving machines will ne-eeee-ver open. -

Run from HHN 11 or this year's Rat Run? They're both basically chain link fence mazes. Run was a full-fledged house with revolving gates that would separate you from your party, while Rat Run will just be an outdoor maze with a couple scareactors in it. There are also big red buttons set up around the outside of the maze for guests to push. This will set off an effect that will screw with the people inside the maze. -
IOA - Unusual Driving Machines ride
JT3000 replied to JP's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
IOA still needs to add multiple new attractions in the next couple years, otherwise it will become extremely stale. I'm thinking an E-ticket in LC, behind Unicorn, and another dark ride behind Cat where the cornfield was. IOA needs a permanent Grinch ride. -

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Elements
JT3000 replied to GAcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, gotta love ALL those Disney parks. They're just fantastic! Every single one of them! They can do no wrong! The fact that they're popular has absolutely nothing to do with the Disney name stamped on them... nope... They could start by theming the back of it. -

I don't think he meant a normal fence. He was more likely referring to the chainlink fence maze currently being constructed in the Boneyard. It will be open exclusively on peak nights for HHN. I've seen someone refer to it as "Bat Run". BTW, the AP party is only on non-peak nights. -
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Elements
JT3000 replied to GAcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I believe that coaster was based on some movie that bombed, so they never built it. Sounded interesting. They also still have all that land that was supposed to be turned into a kiddie area themed around dragons, which also never came to fruition. They probably didn't want AK to share two of it's main themes with another park (IOA). Dinoland U.S.A had already been toppled by JP. As impressive looking as Everest is, it seems to have "Plan B" written all over it. An expensive plan B nonetheless. -

You make it sound like it's just a regular ole' building. DD has one of the most highly acclaimed ride queues anywhere. You also can't see most of the coaster unless you're in the queue area. Even from the courtyard, all you see is a few loops. -

:? What is it with people and randomly getting the urge to pimp slap costumed characters? People who work with children, no less? http://www.wftv.com/news/4984561/detail.html

Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) Discussion Thread
JT3000 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Too bad Ice Station Cool closed.... Err, I mean, this is the most rediculous thing I've ever heard! Have they no manners? -
ToT and a bunch of other random stuff with no sense of cohesiveness? The DCA before there was a DCA? I am kinda bugged by the fact that Disneyland has all those Fantasyland dark rides and we don't (And I still don't understand why, seeing as MK is bigger.) I wouldn't mind seeing new versions of those added, or an improved POTC, but I'd rather see some kind of original E-ticket that exists nowhere else. MK needs something badly to set itself apart. Even our original replacement for Matterhorn, Space Mountain, was swiftly added to DL shortly after we got it. And we STILL have nothing to match.
-
Because we don't already have 6, and only 1 is "mediocre." Name every park Disney has made in the last decade... besides DisneySea, how many good parks come to mind? Disney does NOT need to build more parks here. They need to improve the ones they have. Especially MK, AK and DCA.
