Your first clue to that the general public was not in the train or in the station, might be the shadows and the lack of any cars (25 second mark) in the 1st or 2nd row of the parking lot and the parking lot host just standing watching the train go up the lift. so just with that I would say that no guests had even cleared the toll plaza as of yet. And then later they interviewed those 3 old guys (3:10 mark) and I don't recall seeing any guests in any of those shots. While riding on the train I'm sure anyone in the know might recognize some of those guests as they sure don't look like normal SFMM guests. I could be wrong as I do go to Vegas way to much... but not likely.

Nobody reads the signs or they at least don't read and understand engrish. If you listen around, there are so many different languages being spoken. And as far as the delay it takes some talking to let the guest know that the clippers or even the pocket knife is against park policy and option is return it to your car or we shall dispose of it here and that takes some time to explain. It also takes time to explain to the guest that outside food and beverage aside from water is not allowed to be brought into the park. Most people are trying to bring in food of all kinds so just do your best when entering a line to not get behind a stroller or anyone carrying a big beach bag or backpacks. As they will argue that the Cheetos they have are for dietary needs and that will bring your line to a stop. Or even now when guest claim they need a gluten free diet or that they are veggin well low and behold SFMM now has both those type of restaurants so take your gluten and veggin crap back to your car or we shall toss it and you must buy ours..... BUT THEN AGAIN NOBODY READS SIGNS.

Best I can tell from my UN-trained eye is not much of anything going on. Sure there is a pile of scrap wood that appears to perhaps be from Colossus. But i sure cant tell where it might have been removed from. There is a welder type set up on the top of main lift. To me it still looks like a working Colossus but again with my trained eye I know its not working and only things missing are the trains.

Had a great time yesterday with going to park early then bailing out when temps had beat me up. And returned after the sun had went back down to conclude my long day. I 'm heading over in a few minutes to do a few other things and will grab a view of Season Pass Holder riders but also when it hits over 100 degrees (almost there) i shall bail out again. Easy for me to do when i live within 3 miles of the park.

Very good sized crowd at SFMM today (Fri) guess word is out that the white coaster is really closing and people seem to be coming to pay their respect with one final ride on Colossus. Saw the show Masters of Illusions on TV tonight and the magician is Michael Truco and he preforms 3 shows daily in the theater at SFMM near Colossus. I see one final ride for me in the coming week and then its adios.

I live in Valencia so perhaps you and I can change houses for the weekend as I'm heading to San Diego for Comic Con and Linkin Park. If they say it will be 100 it will really be 108. Take in the 2:30-4:30 magic shows stay indoors. Ride roaring rapids, jet stream, tidal wave. DRINK WATER ride the bus from parking lot. It will be wait times of 15-45 use single rider lines to your advantage. Crowd won't be bad as day camps and such don't seem to go on Fridsys. Bottom line 20 years from now your girlfriend and you can look back and recall this hot ass day you went to SFMM and that's what is all about memories.

Just take notice that during August the hours start to taper back with workers returning back to school or vacations ending. Yes the 20th might make Key Club day look like a walk in the park and most free friend days the kids seem to bring out the older parents that just hobble or walk around the park enjoying the sites that they recall from yesteryear. Go easy on the people wearing the neon green shirts as they really are there to help you. It will be a good day just keep your elbows up.

I'm heading to either SFMM or SFHH perhaps both in about a hr or 2. Just a slow walk around the parks more along the lines of people watching and perhaps a photo with the Griswalds type car near Colossus. Guess we could take in the Magic n Mayhem show and Suzy Haner at the Golden Bear with some hypnotist entertainment. Park has been packed most the week so today should be no exception. Anyone want to do a ride send me a IM as I know some people that know some people that might be able to get me a raft for the lazy river. Or just a ride on Orient and (PTC21)

If your talking about a visit to Six Flags on July, 3, 4, 5, 6 , 7. (you are brave) by all means what ever your budget could handle should be your choice. If it just a 1 day visit a Flash Pass for sure and buy your entrance tickets online @$44.99 (plus some fee around $5-8 for entire order online). If its multi day your doing then perhaps just get a season pass @ $79.99 and buy 4 and get a free parking pass. If you have no budget get the VIP tour and just destroy the place with rides and photos and grub and just plain lots of VIP perks. For hotel the area works if your doing multi day at Six Flags others wise the area doesn't make munch sense. Hilton Garden hotel offers shuttle to the park. Embassy Suite, Courtyard, Hyatt, Holiday Inn Xpress, Best Western are all on the city operated Hometown Trolley route and its the best kept secret and the trolly will drop you right at main gate of Six Flags and pick you up and all at NO CHARGE (so you avoid parking fees). Good luck as it will be a warm time at around 38 Celsius

By all means I have no idea. But in cross checking the dates available at SFMM compared to SFGAdv. SFMM bring free friend dates your asking for is ticket #6 9/25 and ticket #7 11/24-26. SFGAdv is not open on any of those dates so that angle is mute point. I see no where on either SF site the mention of option of "bring a friend free once a month" so no idea where you see this? I would say your SOL and need to pony up for a cpl tickets.

I agree move the main entrance to where Colossus and Scream seem to have a walkway type area that would feed into the Country Fair area. Would need to build up the area with a berm about 15/20 feet as there seems to be a current service type road that front Colossus. LA Zoo built up their entrance so could SFMM, It would then put entrance about dead center with the 160 acre parking lot. Not sure about HH entrance area but could be worked on. And why close Colossus on Aug 16th and not just wait for end of summer season 2 weeks later on Sept 2nd?

Thursday shouldn't be affected since Grad Nite is an after hours event. At least, I hope it won't be affected, as I'll be visiting tomorrow and can't make opening due to school (estimated arrival 11-11:30 A.M.). Since Junior Nite occurs partially during operating hours, I would avoid those two days (Friday, May 16th and Friday, June 6th) as attendance will likely be quite heavy then. Bonzai Pipelines is looking great, and it's exciting to see something new for Hurricane Harbor after over ten years. Looking forward to returning to my favorite So Cal waterpark this summer just to try the new slides. I concur, but aside from 102 degrees and high wind warning for Thursday it should be a good day. Winds are schd to switch a 180 starting coming from the East to start the day but by 2 pm winds will be coming from the West so something to watch when looking at the Sky-tower flag. And yes Friday to Jr Highers start arriving in buses around noon so those are a hidden number as they wont be arriving in cars.

I must be sick G.A.C. because in a sick way I really enjoyed your video. One thing you could have done when exiting Tatsu was stop by the Dipping Dots stand and asked the Dipping Dots guy when X2 would be running 2 trains again and he could have told you the 12th. I like to enter the park and grab a funnel cake and eat it at Cyber Cafe using the free Wi-Fi available there. Then I hit a quick ride on the Grand Carousal with a ride on the Chariot (bench seating). Then for me its Orient Express prefer car #1 as the A/C is always blasting in that one. Use to then enjoy slow ride to the top of Sky Tower but perhaps soon that will again be available with a sunset dinner at the top. Then a walk down the stairs (not heart attack hill) towards Roaring Rapids and listen to the people bitching that they did not know they would get "that wet" on Rapids. Then by pass Apoc and head straight into Coaster Candy Company and see what the free fudge tastes for the day are and make certain I get my fill. Then I like to sit and watch Cyclone 500 and see if its possible for 9 cars to complete a trip around in under 15 minutes (rarely done). I then try to grab a spot in the shade and watch people try the Rock Wall and then move over to watching the 3 point challenge basketball toss and see if anyone has scored above 10 yet. Okay Okay not really the route I take around the park but Its close.

I don't think it will be overly packed but it will be a awkward day at best. Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (SIX) stock will also hit the 52 week high at $43.00 but that's another story. It will be a awkward day as its also a Junior Grad Night so the park will close to the public at 6pm and Junior highers have run of the park with private party. But Jr high events are different then High school grad nites were the JR Highers can arrive at anytime of the day and blend with the public during the day. Most will arrive in droves in buses so safe to say it might be better to hit up SFMM on Thursday the 15th. Or if you come on 16th be prepared to upgrade to the Fast Pass system.
