  1. Fuel Bottle was down for the day and hosts and hostess's were directing guests towards other thrill rides. Tatsu was walk on all day and many empty seats each ride. The cheerleaders were busy staying warm when the late day winds came up and froze everyone's jingle balls off. Tomorrow should be nicer and its Toys for The Holidays and even if your not interested for the free entrance bring a toy and pay it forward.
  2. As I drove the I-5 near SFMM around 11am today seemed about a handful of workers on top of X2. So perhaps soon. And hasn't Big Thunder at Disney been closed for about 10 months? And seems at DCA radiator springs is down for the count.
  3. Light rain starting to fall 8:30 am should last until noon so might be non crowded day at sfmm
  4. Seems to be a legend or myth of the crowds for Key Club day. Its one on the best times to go as most are to busy doing cheers and are to wimpy to ride rides. Its the strangest crowd of the year and the longest lines are in Bugs Bunny World. Don't forget Cyber Cafe offers FREE Wi-Fi so flip your phone to that when in the area and up load your photos from there.
  5. It could be interesting day for Season Passes as its the "final day" to activate for the Gold Upgrade and per the SFMM web site it must be done prior to 5pm Sunday. Today (Fri) would have been perfect day as park was open for "Home school Day" and Season Pass office was open and line was non issue. Good luck Sunday and might want to bring a book for wait in line.
  6. We went there until about 10:10 . it was epic epic epic epic epic epic very nice crowd. wait times unkn as all we did was the Hypnotist show with Suzy Haner (Her son is in rock group AV7) and Orient Express to watch the scare zone on Samurai Summit. Ricky Rocks sounded great and had huge crowd there in front of full throttle. Going back tomorrow for mazes when crowd will be 1/3 the size of Saturday and another good date will be the 24th I bet as park is only open 4-midnight and i think not crowded at all.
  7. Thanks for the info. But, how often do they dictate where you sit. Like in percentage of how many times you went When I use to get "loaned" to X2 and worked "bounce" I let the guest choose which row they would like. Most didn't know the front row from the back so that was always a chuckle. Sort of same working the "split" area I let the guests in front of that area decide if they wanted to stand in the sun or the shade and they were deciding for about the next 40 people behind them. But I was easy and it wasn't my regular work zone so I did wheat the guests wanted. No don't even ask me to watch you green drink cup. I know you paid about $15 bucks for it. And if you lay it in front of the lockers and its gone when you return oh well as I sure aint watching your crap when you lay it directly in front of the damm lockers!
  8. Yes, I would use this over Safari or other browsers. It is a much more fluid and smooth experience through this app than it is on a mobile browser. . Testing
  9. Well if your in Valencia area today (Thursday) SFMM is open as its a holiday day today. Hours are 10:30 - 6pm and should be not so crowded today. Its hotter then heck already out here so bring waters.
  10. Most Happy Hours in Valencia are M-F, so not sure what day your looking for. Black Agnus has great happy hour in bar only and it only has 2 tables in the bar area so its tight, and they wont bend the rules. Elephant Bar is interesting. Tilted Kilt or Big Wangs on Wed is the place to be. $0.99 Coors at Azul Tequila which is very close to SFMM. Best bet head to Valencia mall Town Center and do Bar Crawl lots to choose from there. Again most Happy Hour Special's are held M-F but I have been wrong over 50% of the time.
  11. There are 2 Sports Bars nearby. At bottom of the hill make a right and then make left at 1st light and next to El Torito is a new place called Beef O Bradys it opened 2 months ago and hasn't caught on yet so it wont be crowded at all there. Another locals favorite is Big Wangs Make a right at bottom of the hill then go right on the old road to the 2nd light on left side is shopping center and Big Wangs is located in shopping center. It will be busy and loud. And next door to it is a cookie place called Lady Di's so save room for a cookie. Or just go to Bev Mo next door and get hammered. We only live 3 miles from SFMM and Sat is our wedding anniversary so I wont be at SFMM on that day. I was offering our extra room at our house for a TPR-er to crash at on Friday to someone from out of town but so many issue from other party just were not working out so i tabled that idea. We just live off McBean behind the Alamo (Robb would know where that is) who knows maybe tomorrow I will change my mind again. Have a great Saturday and travel safe all.
  12. The pass you bought in April will expire 12/31/2013. Unless its a membership pass. 2014 passes are now on sale find 3 others and buy a 4 pack @ $72.99 per and they upgrade it to a Gold Pass that includes parking for at all Six Flags not just SFMM, HH passes for all, and no blackout dates. Go read the page SFMM Season Pass and find what works for you.
  13. I think for 2014 SFMM needed to do very little in the way of new attractions. They just need to keep the midway open and let the cash register sing as 2014 will be a very busy year. Only thinking it will be busy, as any-day now Universal Studios will be starting its $1.6 billion Harry Potter build and USH will just be a mess. I hate to even compare the 2 parks as USH only has 5 or 6 rides and aren't in the same ballpark as SFMM for coasters. But when it comes time to spend the entertainment dollars for a vacation people will take a look at construction taking over USH and just choose to go to another theme park. Perhaps even has something to do with SFMM having some "Blackout dates" for lower level season pass for 2014 as they know USH Horror night might be limited by the build and SFMM will get the over flow for Freight Fest. As far as Hurricane harbor glad to see a new slide and hope they get it in prior to the 2014 season starting. Wish SFMM would step up and put in some EV charging stations in the old gas station area of the parking lot. Even Disneyland doesn't offer EV stations so perhaps SFMM can set a example with about 20 stations.
  14. Had a nice look at the build going on the parking lot today and it looks sick! No chance this will be for guests and really curious to see final cut of whatever it is.
  15. Larsens Steakhouse is within 2 miles near the Hyatt Hotel and the mall at 24320 Town Center Dr Valencia.
  16. Ok I see. I agree about the hours as well. I've wished that for my home park too (SFStL). 9 or 10 pm is just too early in my opinion, especially for trying to get night rides! You want longer hours come back during Freight Fest when park is open until 1am on Fridays and Saturday's during October. And if you have a season pass remember, there are never any blackout dates for any of the season passes including Freight Fest!
  17. A simple Google search for Six Flag's Magic Mountain November 09, 2013 or the 2nd shows 3 events on the 2nd and 1 event on the 9th. The one on the 9th I've heard legend stories about that seem to grow and grow each year. No idea how many show to the schd events but plan on temps in the low 50's.
  18. Big Wangs is best on Wednesdays when its "Wing Wednesday" and Wings are only a quarter. Other times its best since its next to Lady Di's or Fatburger or the most generous portion Panda Express in the world.
  19. Sunday should not be as bad as last year as stated this year it only caters to the "Gold Passes" for the FREE bring a friend. I'm doing it the easy way by parking at the Mall and taking the Hometown Trolly from the Hyatt at 11:14am arriving closer then the new buses at SFMM, in the guests drop off area at 11:31am and not paying for either the Trolly or Parking at flags as there is no charge for this service. Plan on leaving Flags at 6:43pm and getting to Hyatt at 6:51pm, I would then do Chick Fil A at mall but Chick is closed on Sundays. Link For Hometown Trolly Schedule
  20. They do offer a membership plan that is all done online. So if you order a membership pass today the 24th it expires June 23rd 2014, and at that time you renew online one month at a time. So unlike the season passes that expire the end of 2013, membership passes last a complete year from date of purchase. Membership Pass Info not to be confused with season pass. At least i think it to be laid out that way.
  21. Easy to count the buses that have stayed . About 25 per row. Hasn't changed in years. So at quick glance 3 rows of buses 75. However what your not seeing are the buses that dropped off and left and some-days that number exceeds the number of buses that stay. But easy enough just dbl your 75 and say 150 buses had showed up . Trust me its good info.
  22. Every few years, the fireworks they shoot from behind X2/Viper manage to cause small brush fires. It was a running joke among employees. SFMM hasn't had fireworks for years and years since those exact house's and WRH (school) were built & that fire was in direct line of fire today. Only fireworks type display now are in the plaza or Falls area during summer around 8-9pm and those don't even launch perhaps more than 30 feet and all below Tatsu coaster line so its mostly a ground show. Apocalypse has sprinkler system and I'm sure it was ready to be used if needed.
  23. On the SFMM web site under the events tab it shows a "group event" for tomorrow the 23rd. It does not list the size of the group, but it should still be nice day.
