Strange thing in Southern Cal is Spring Break seems to go on and on forever and every school seems to be on different schedule. Don't worry whatever day you come it will be crowded as you just cant win. Rent a car... Why not when Hotwire has them as low as $12.30 per day plus taxes. Alamo is onsite at Burbank and makes for easy pick up and drop off. LAX lord have mercy on your soul and your on your own. Shuttle from your local hotel (which one?) sounds great and you will avoid parking fees of $20 at SFMM. As best I know none of the Valencia hotels charge for self parking.

WOW WOW WOW Cars coming in after about 6pm it was gridlock. Sheriffs eventually would close off the bottom of entrance road at the bottom of the hill. It was a traffic nightmare. Not sure at what point a guest might scratch their head and say to themselves that this might not be a good idea. It was a very trying time for guests and employees and sure hope that most survived. I'm heading there in a couple hours and lets see what a Sunday, the day after brings.

Just remember every car is inside SFMM as Hurricane has been closed since 6pm. What to do first? .... For the record for next year 2016 if anyone were to ask will SFMM be crowded on Rosh Hashanah day ... please apply the word YES YES YES. Park was slammed today Monday 9/14 Rosh Hashanah day perhaps having it as a BAFF day added to the huge crowd. Almost parked in dirt or gravel lot and asshols to elbows inside the park. Yikes Yikes Yikes.

Seems that for people that might be arriving early for WCB that might really need some SFMM there is a private event Friday the 11th 6pm-midnight with free parking and tickets available at walk up for $40.00 or order online at SixFlags using code listed for $35 with no fees. If nothing else drive to park and get some good viewing of Twisted C or Scream in the dark. Six Flags more info on event.

I was at the park again today and just remember that Hurricane Harbor cars are in that fold so perhaps 1/3 of the cars were at HH. And yes SFMM was empty and light rain/sprinkles/drops fell around 11:30 but only last about 30 minutes and didn't really get ground wet.

If anyone is at the park today, please let us know how are the crowds. Today is the day your friends will tell you they did every ride in about 3 hours, yes it is not busy at all. I just left at 3:30. Looks like perfect week to go.

Friday should be good in the early hours but will pick up steam throughout the day as #1. Park will close at 6pm to the public... and #2. Private event will take over the park with wristbands required at 6pm. #3. It is a tag along event so those private party guests can arrive at anytime prior to event starting time of 6pm and most for these type events seem to start pouring in around 2pm. So arrive early as its a Honda day with early entry and ride the most popular first as it will get crowded later also it is final day for guests for bring a friend free of course not counting this upcoming BAFF SUnday the 23rd which is a new offer and not to be confused with the 21st offer. So in answer to your question. It might be busier then excepted.

. I'll be at the park today too. I expect no crowds since school is back in session.. Los Angeles City Schools dont return to school until August 18th and that's about 770,000 little angels. and of course this year they must prove immunization records for all incoming 7th graders for immunization against Pertussis, also known as Whooping Cough. Without proof of the immunization, 7th graders will not be able to attend school on August 18, 2015. So look for slighter crowds today Monday as perhaps they will do school shopping, but Tuesday should see a drop and yet still many others still on summer vacation. At least park is only open until 6pm so late afternoon rushes there wont be in play. And perhaps most today will be at Disneyland as today is first day back for all passholes with So Cal Select season pass being allowed back in.

One other option once you have made it to the Santa Clarita Bus Station right next door is the Valencia Hyatt and they offer pickups for the HomeTown Trolly That will drop you closer then any city bus will and even closer then the trams from the main parking lot. And again NO CHARGE for using the Trolly. So check into it as you have several options. Please note, the trolley only drops off in the mornings to the Six Flags parks and picks up in the evenings. Trolley Service does not run all day. **Please plan your Trolley Route before leaving the hotel as shuttle pick up times vary based on the Six Flags Magic Mountain operating calendar. Please check park hours in advance. Trolley runs for approximately one hour after park closes. I agree as I also defend the park way to much. Shes doing the best she can and trust me if silver tags dont like it they will speak with her. Its 3:30 now in Valencia and sky's are turning ugly. I bet nobody at the park is reading this but I would be seeking shelter right about now or just pack in in and come back on Sunday the 19th for Bring A Friend Free Day. Its going to get wet really quick.

VERY VERY good fireworks show last night July 3rd at Six Flags Magic Mountain. They pulled out the budget on this one with nothing left behind. Best viewing area is in front of Loaded Dogs or just outside Looney Toons gift shop facing FT loop as all fireworks are shot over the top of the loop. There were no ground fireworks so WYSIWYG. Another great spot would be outside the main gates in the bus service turnaround area for the parking lot. Bottom line if you can see top of FT loop this This is the last 7 minutes of the show unedited of the 14 minute show ... Again a very very good pyro show!!!

I agree 100% I have watched TC cycle thousands of times and have learned all the sounds and I know where the ride is on the track just by the sounds even with my back to it. Yesterday (6-20-2015) I spent a hour having a picnic in the parking lot picnic area and noticed that while train is on green track coming out of the high five turn the train most definitely goes "sluggish". Lets just say I like to watch and by no means am I in any position to say the speed is off or it seems sluggish but just call me Chauncey Gardner and something is off just a bit from opening days.

Started out a great day with Honda giving out free parking and ERT. I noticed to for Twisted C that it didnt get going until after noon. Perhaps last nights final grad night gave it a work out. Pretty mean looking clouds popping up right now and if they unload it could be interesting and the breeze just picked up .... Save the women and children... all hands on deck.

How fast can you run a half mile? If you can't run fast, you will be at the back of the line of Twisted Colossus anyway. And it is likely that the ride will not open on time. According to the following website, tomorrow's ERT is open to ALL passholders, not just gold passholders, at 9am.... http://www.californiacoasterkings.com/important-dates/ When I read the email I see no mention of special ride time for Gold Passholers only mentioned as season passholers good catch park schd is to open Sunday the 31st so perhaps ERT or EAT is moved to 9:30 but considering that Hurricane Harbor is now entering its 2nd week of 2015 season and even their own web site has yet to update possible perks for 2015 and still only shows 2014 yet I know HH is already hosting BAFF ... ahh whatever First thing in the morning Twisted is so loud but still a pretty sweet ride once it gets warmed up . And people before hopping into a seat have someone else hold your god damm drink cups and dont delay the launch. Other day was hilarious I watched a guest hand over his cup to attendant and attendant did a no look behind his back toss towards the exit gate and the other guests waiting to board broke out in thunderous applause over it.
