  3. Great to see the coasters I will ride next year... Thanks for the TR!
  4. So likely they will keep a 4th weekend of May opening for next year also - sadly I'm gonna miss this park then as I plan to start my 3+ week US tour on the 3rd May Weekend in Chicago...
  5. As long as they keep their JetStar a little longer I am fine... For a park this small they have nice coaster lineup already. Maybe the will add a new inverting flat for 2015...
  6. Love how Liseberg is taking care of the light-package. Most parks only have very basic lights on their rides - but most do not open as long as Liseberg does...
  7. ^Adding Gröna Lund, Liseberg and Furuvik one has a trip with: 3 great and very different woodies, 3 Schwarzkopf coasters, Helix...
  8. Really some great years we have in northern Europe... 2013 - Smiler, Karacho 2014 - Flug der Dämonen, Helix 2015 - Hansa-Park Gerstlauer Mega-Coaster "Kärnan" 2016 - Wildfire And is it not time for Efteling to get a great new coaster...?
  9. Cool Story! As I had only one full day in San Diego in 2011 I choose Belmont Park over Sea world that day and was splendid. Thanks for the history and to you and your team to have a good woodie to ride that day!
  10. Two months to go and counting until I will ride Helix
  11. Soooooooooo...... 2014 - Scandinavia for Helix 2015 - US tour for Cedar Point, Hersheypark, among many others 2016 - Sweden tour for Wildfire
  12. Looks more like something MACK would have come up with - but donot know how their Powered Coaster design does in freezing temperatures. Interesting design...
  13. Looking like a good place to stay. Thanks for the report...
  14. I like to ride the Zierer StarShape - combining a thrillride with some great views and not too aggressive like a Mondial TopScan. Would love to see more of them...
  15. Love inversion rides and the classics - so voted for the Looping Starship here...
  16. Finally the second bunch of pics from my visit last Saturday. As the sun set the lights came on... Big fun on the Big Monster And it was the time to switch on the light package Lots of water - and lots of riders for the rafting A Star Trek themed ride? A HUSS Booster??? No! A HUSS Take-Off by any other name... Still a fun high-intense ride Historic mechanical organ DOMDancer switched on the dry ice machine Even the Frisbee had a line today More midway games I waited nearly half an hour and got two spins for €4, so the second time you knew when it was going to hurt... Final round on the ferris wheel Thats all folks! Not sure if I will visit a second time as Osterwiese is on in Bremen plus several smaller carnivals in Kiel and Flensburg. And those have two new Spinning Mouse credits...
  17. Hmmmmmm - lets take a look at the calendar and indulge into todays date...
  18. Hope other Disney parks will also add Oswald as this would be also a photo-op for Disney and animation fans of all ages...
  19. ^They even let one do two spins for one admission. The loop and helix wasn't that bad but the entry into the final brake gave me some back pain. The operations was also unique: The coaster was run by one Italian guy not really fluent in German or English and just ordered "Alle Zu!" ("All Close!") and not even checking if restraints were properly closed...
  20. Finally a great sunny day to visit this years Spring DOM. Sadly no Schwarzkopf coaster this spring which is quite a letdown but some nice flats compensate at least partially for it. What great weather to head for the carnival... Lion King theatre and the ferry to get there First ride of the day on the Mondial Shaker The Wieland Schwarzkopf/Gerstlauer Absoluter is a Hamburg first this spring Spotting a new credit Already getting packed after 4pm Poeple sticking to the wall like flies Mondial Inferno - somehow they only put riders in the last two rows while already having a line... Atlantis Rafting had a 30 minutes line... HighFlyer in front of the historic WWII air-raid bunker View over the pleasure district of St. Pauli with the harbour in the back An Anton Schwarzkopf Monster a few meters down from is younger inverted twin View down the midway Kiddie bumper cars Here there be Sharks All part of a walkthrough Freshly baked Some midway games to finish the first half, more to come soon...
  21. Liked Cheetah Hunt a lot. My fav Busch Gardens Tampa coaster - fyi Sheikra was closed when I was there. Liked the launch and pacing, specially the S-turns before the second launch...
  22. If they had to train with the guys from Olympia Looping I guess a good percentage of park attendants would shortly have a heart-attack...
  23. Honestly that video isn't looking to bad - I would volunteer!
  24. These stands and what they do to the good sweets disturbs me always alot visiting the US...
  25. I sometimes like to send every park employee who is responsible for such a decision some flowers...
