  1. Do I spy Deja Vu in that last picture? That's one way to tell that you didn't take those pictures. That and also the fact Goliath is not seen towering over Scorcher. I agree with the statement on Ninja. That ride needs to go, NOW! That's the only blemish on SFOG's coaster roster.
  2. The nice thing is that Chick-Fil-A is headquarted in College Park, which is the city where Hartsfield Jackson Airport is located. The first one is in Hapeville which is close to the airport.
  3. Accidentally killing said person from that crash. What's worse than everything in this thread times infinity?
  4. There's a TON to do in Atlanta. Go to the World of Coke, Centennial Olympic Park, Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, or just walk in downtown. You could never go wrong with going to the Varsity either. You might also want to hit Chick-Fil-A too. It might be fast food, but it's one of the best fast food joints in the south; even more so since the original restaurant was built south of Atlanta. For SFOG, since it is a monday and kids are no longer in school, you might want to get a flash pass. Hope that this helps, and have a fun time at whatever parks you go to!
  5. Robb, give us some credit. We can make stuff ten times BETTER than that!

  7. When I was on Monster Mansion, we were about to leave the station to go through the ride when I noticed two girls waving at me. I have never met them before. They were very pretty too. I never saw them again after that. I keep wondering who they were.

  13. Hey, look a disclaimer:
  14. That ride will probably need a few new parts in order to operate again.
  15. This was suppose to be released next month, but I cracked, and I felt that since park is in the construction stages, it makes sense since that's what a thread is for. So without further ado, I introduce Lakeside Wonders Amusement Park! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ April 22, 2000 I am proud to announce the third park to Thrill Gardens Inc., and the second currently operating park, Lakeside Wonders! The park originally opened in 1979 with only a couple of coasters and some flats. The park was incredibly popular, but eventually the guests stopped coming. In 1995, the park filed for bankruptcy and abruptly closed in 1996. Not much has happened to the park since. In early 1999, after the closure of Thrill Gardens, my scouts began looking for cheap parks to buy and eventually make into a family and thrill seeker oriented park. They found this park, and I fell in love with it immediately. I knew it was too early to bring in some big coasters, so I brought in an original coaster from Thrill Gardens. I had a vision, and I knew I must do whatever it takes to bring the park back to its glory days. Now, after six years of silence, I hope that I can bring back the vision the original owners had and make this a very successful park. In order to fulfill this promise to myself, all coasters have been refurbished to original condition, and the flats received new paint and controls. Some of the flats at this park are no longer being manufactured, so it was hard to find new parts. We decided that these rides will never be removed. New buildings were also constructed to house stations and restaurants. Here's a list of current rides and attractions: Double Screw: Built by Arrow Dynamics, this is one of the two original coasters at Lakeside Wonders. We asked Arrow for new trains, and they agreed to do so. Dusty Tumbler: Built by Philadelphia Toboggan Company, this was the other original coaster at Lakeside Wonders. It features a classic out-and-back design. New trains have also been constructed, and track was replaced. Steel King: An Arrow Dynamics hyper coaster. Built in 1992, this is the tallest coaster at the park. With most of the ride over Lake Shamara, this coaster brings an incredible ride over the lake. 1001 Dreams: a classic 1001 Nights flat Carousel: a PTC Carousel Dodgems: a Bumper Cars ride Wonder Wheel: a Ferris Wheel Twister: a Twist ride Top Spinner: a Top Spin Magic Carpet: a Magic Carpet ride Giant Wheel: a Schwarzkopf Enterprise; originally at Thrill Gardens Sky Diver: a Sky Diver Log Runner: Built by Arrow, it opened with the rest of the park. Swingersion: a Swinging Inverter Roll-O-Plane: a classic flat Whirler: a Tilt-A-Whirl Chaos: a Chaos ride; located at Thrill Gardens Lakeside Railroad: currently in construction; will open with the park in 2001 American Screamer: Schwarzkopf portable. This coaster was built for Thrill Gardens, but the ride was relocated to here after the closure of the park and being put into storage. 16. "Quick, get rid of one side of Superman and Lex Luthor! They're on to us!"
  17. Thanks! I fixed it up a bit. You should've seen the original version, it did not work well. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ April 22, 2000 Not much has been done to the park lately. We got a new restaurant building near Forest Mining Co. We're hoping that this brings in more guests in this area of the park to ride the coaster. Lakeside Drivers got a couple of sections replaced for more land interaction. SCR50.BMP The new restaurant building. SCR51.BMP Redesigned Lakeside Drivers SCR52.BMP Overview shot. Most of our attention has been placed upon a new park though. We mentioned in the press conference after the closure of Thrill Gardens about the possibility of buying an existing park. We were able to buy the park and get some of the rides from Thrill Gardens put in there. We are hesitant on saying the name of the park since coaster enthusiasts would be over it in a second looking for any new construction. We are not done since there is still much that needs to be done to the park before we think about setting an opening date. I have put up pictures, so you could see the progress though. We hope that you understand and are willing to help us out in the meantime. SCR53.BMP Our Arrow Hyper, Steel King, and Steel King gift shop SCR54.BMP The beginning of our main street. 18. There's this kid in my grade that purposely makes fun of me. He has no reason as to why he does it. He talks crap about me every time that he sees me. I have done nothing to him at all. We only have one class together, but he tries to turn everyone against me. I ignore what he says about me and continue about what I'm doing. My friends say that no one listens to him. He thinks he's better than me because he plays football. He also thinks very highly of himself. He also threatened to beat me up. He also says that I shouldn't be talking about college because we're freshmen. My argument is that college is getting harder and more expensive to get in, and there's no better time than now to start thinking about the future. I don't even talk about school that much to begin with. I'm just annoyed by him so much that I would rather marathon on Mean Streak than deal with him. End Rant here
  19. Agreed. I agree that SFMM won't get the tallest coaster in the world. I rather have quality for a ride rather than a fancy title that could disappear as quickly as possible. I don't care if a park has the tallest coaster title or not as long as it's a fun ride with plenty of air time and is just an enjoyable ride.
  20. So I'm looking at all the ride videos for SFOG, and I got these: From Mindbender POV: What? From Goliath POV: Wow... From Georgia Scorcher POV: Right... From Georgia Cyclone POV: That's impossible... From Ninja POV: You're comparing an Arrow suspended to a Vekoma sit-down... From Dahlonega Mine Train POV: Where exactly did you see a loop? From GASM POV: Not everyone wants to scream you know... From Batman POV: It's not their fault.
