  1. This is interesting: Coasterthon! Apparently the only ride available is GASM. I would rather have 10 hours on Goliath!
  2. Today, the most random thing happened. A guy streaked through the cafeteria at my school. That is all.
  3. How about the scenario that started it all, Forest Frontiers?
  4. SFoG June 12! Time to see my favorite Schwarzkopf! And all the other coasters, but who cares about those!
  5. The Ferris Wheel obviously wanted to become an Enterprise! It just didn't count on the Go-Gator being there. The tornado is just a cover story.
  6. A friend of mine broke his foot and had surgery because he did that.
  7. I guess that board is proof that even the Six Flags staff prefer Cedar Point!
  8. So much coaster porn... This is one of the most beautiful coasters I have ever seen!
  9. It's the park's fault for avoiding the gimmick of the ride. Intamin has as much say as you do about how daily operations are at the park. Intamin made the ride to the standards that SFMM gave them, and the ride was built. SFMM is just a lazy branch on the Six Flags chain that decides not to run the coasters the way they were intended to.
  10. I don't know what that is. What's worse than the fact that Rebecca Black WANTS to have a duet with Justin Bieber?
  11. Considering that I'm in the middle of restoring a park that hasn't operated for several years, there's going to be empty space. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ November 8, 2000 Much has happened since the park was last seen. The railroad was completed with the second station by Steel King. Since the station is next to the coaster, the roof was painted red to match the rest of the area. Now, there was a complaint about the coaster, (funkeymon) and I agree with him. The maintenance crew at Lakeside Wonders can work on wooden structures. I asked them if they could change the layout. They agreed and what they gave me is crazy. Dusty Tumbler was given new track, and the coaster was built up to 20 feet higher than it was originally. Also, the coaster is no longer just an out and back. The coaster turns to the left after the first incline after the lift. Then, the coaster goes down several hills before another turnaround. The coaster passes under the lift and makes a long 270 degree turn to the left to come back to the entrance. Before the coaster returns, the train goes through several twist and turns before hitting the brake run. Commonly, the coaster will pass just when the train is passing and when the second train is hitting the lift. The coaster will produce several head choppers and plenty of airtime. A couple of buildings were added to the park to fill up empty space. Hope to see all of you opening day Memorial Day, 2001! Andrew Bennet Thrill Gardens Inc. 12. Thanks man, I hope so, too! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ November 8, 2000 The season is over, and record attendance was reached this year. We are hoping for several things to happen next year: 1) The opening of our last major coaster for a few years. 2) The beginning of full year park operations. 3) The beginning of full year hotel operations. We are hoping that these plans will be final by the end of next year. Right now, construction is happening between the return railroad section and Forest Mining Co. Track is being pulled up to allow heavy machinery to enter the area to begin construction. You can probably guess what the coaster type is once you see the photos I have been able to give you. We have decided on a name, and the announcement will occur in a matter of time. Thank you and have a wonderful day! Andrew Bennet Thrill Gardens Inc. CEO SCR72.BMP Construction has begun! 13. Yeah, I'll take it! I need a woodie for a certain park of mine.
  14. ^If you don't want it, I'll take it.
  15. Actually, what you described is a normal week in North Georgia.
  16. 9/10; sounds secretive, but it's very simple and unique
  17. Speaking of SFMM's water show: I didn't know that posting one video from the 90's would cause the videos that have popped up lately.
  18. ^I'm sure he was talking about Chang before the Green Lantern retheme.
  19. Also remember to stack trains and put little themeing.
  20. Thanks for the info! They really appreciate it, and I'm glad that someone working on the project is apart of this forum!
  21. I have a question for you. My church group is working in Betsy Layne, KY for Catholic Heart Workcamp in July, and we will be traveling north on 75. I talk to my youth leaders about it, and here's their question:
  22. 8/10 It's unique, but I like it
  23. In my mind, it doesn't matter how many coasters I have been on, but what matters is who I went on the coaster with and how much I enjoyed it. While coaster counts are good, I don't use one since I see no actual point in having one. It's not like I'm going to win an award, get a scholarship, or be amazed by the people around me for having one. It's all about the love of roller coasters and having the chance to ride it that makes it special. I don't need a count to tell me that.
  24. 10/20...I did better than I thought!
