  4. The only time I can think of ever getting sick on a flat was years ago at Canobie Lake. I had a big pizza lunch then went on Turkish Twist 34 consecutive times. Damn you, Canobie Lake Park pizza!!!
  5. Go get EBL Tatsu haiku inspector Are we all correct?
  6. English teacher says Saddened is two syllables Tatsu haiku thread Nah, kidding!!!
  7. I've never actually met a coaster I truly DIDN'T like, but I think I can stick a "favorite" label on one or two. Favorite Intamin and all-time favorite: S:ROS at SFNE (my home park). Favorite B&M and favorite with inversions: Great Bear No it's not my picture, yes it's my favorite inverting coaster. No it's not my picture, yes it's still my favorite alltime coaster. No it's not my picture, yes it's my favorite alltime coaster.

  13. I'll throw my $.02 in!!! Darkened dragon’s cave On a magic mountain top Tatsu breathing fire
  14. In general, alternate lodging is my money-saving plan, more specifically, camping. I already camp nearly every other weekend from April to November, so it really just makes sense to me. Compare an average of $30.00-$50.00/night for a campsite vs. $100.00 or more/night in many cases. If there's a state or national park anywhere near your park of choice, your savings will be even bigger. The one and only time I stayed at a park-owned property was at Hershey Highmeadow Campground (see? still a campground, and still cheaper - plus they had a free shuttle between the camp office and the park). I also happen to be a civilian employee of the U.S. Navy, so I get my park tix onbase (for parks other than SFNE, since I have a season pass) even cheaper than AAA.
  15. My home park is SFNE, and I'll definitely put it in my top three, alongside Hersheypark and Cedar Point, but as far as whether my home park is specifically my favorite, I'd say "no." I'm going with HP on that one. CP and SFNE are pretty evenly tied at #2 in my book.
  16. Yeah, I completely agree with these two. I usually have more fun on the drive to work. For me, these two don't live up to the SROS name, since SROS at SFNE is my "home SROS." I also found Gemini to be pretty blah...it's ok, but...
  17. I'd have to say Mean Streak and SFGADV's Viper...I never really got what everyone hated about these two. Thanks to RCDB and JoyRides for the pic! Thanks to RCDB and JoyRides for the pic!
  18. ^ ...I just happened to think they were great photos, so I though I'd share them. I didn't realize it would cause such a stink. I'll just take them down...I'd rather not create a sh*tstorm
  19. edited by user to avoid hate mail...
  20. ...and they all have a corporate sponsorship from Bell Helmets.
  21. Not "exactly" a Six Flags America photo, but this is Wild One in her earlier incarnation as Paragon Park's Giant Coaster.
  22. I think I heard once that Houdini: The Great Escape at SFNE is haunted by the ghost of Harry Houdini... Actually, there is the former Lincoln Park in Dartmouth, MA, which is fairly well known for its seemingly-paranormal phenomena. When I first moved to Fall River, MA (about a ten minute drive from Lincoln Park) from Boston a couple years ago, my wife and I stopped by for some Kodak moments. Wandering around the old park, I can't really attribute the feelings we felt to any specific haunting activity, but there were some strange sensations, and we got some COOL (but sad) pictures.
  23. Me (between pairs of contact lenses) with my wife Jen, Thanksgiving 2004.
  24. ....eeeerrrrr...uummm Pete? Yeah, I think so...(checking driver's license) yeah...Pete.
