  1. The ACTUAL translation of Kingda Ka (at least in the language of journalistic sensationalism) is this: I'm absolutely terrified of roller coasters but I'm a reporter and CBS News is paying me to ride so I'll come up with some stupid translation of my own that sounds witty because I have this need to hide my own fears lest my CBS News viewers and bosses think less of me because if I show my fears my credibility is ruined and my viewers will find another newscast to watch. And according to THIS article: http://www.qcknightnews.com/media/storage/paper564/news/2004/11/23/News/Golden.Kingdom.To.Beat.Out.Magic.Kingdom-814595.shtml?norewrite200604100215&sourcedomain=www.qcknightnews.com, the actual translation is an original name created by the Six Flags Great Adventure concept production team. Essentially, the name means "king of coasters." Flame on as necessary.
  2. With a little creativity in placement and budgeting, there is no such thing as "...no more room for a big coaster." It's only a scary thought if we actually believe it, and ignore the fact that Hershey has set the bar for other parks in terms of creative placement. Besides...it's not like the DON'T own anymore land or can't GET anymore...
  3. Six Flags New England - 3.5 hours, as well as the sadly-defunct-but-still-(sorta)-there parks Whalom (90 minutes) and Lincoln (15 minutes) Parks.
  4. Only time I can think of was this past August during SFNE's Superhero Celebration 3. My bro and I got stuck in Mind Eraser's brake run for about 25 minutes during clean-up ops. OUCH!!! Everyone knows how uncomfy a Vekoma SLC seat can be, but damn...that hurt...
