You can thank me later. "Or you can just skip that one and head to your pillow. You can thank me later!"
  2. Okay . . . what was the longest wait I had to endure to ride a ride I wanted to ride so badly? Answer - I had to wait nine years to finally ride Deja Vu! Why did it take so long for me to be able to ride this extreme inverted boomerang? It was because of the two Six Flags parks that did have the Deja Vu, but on the day I visited the ride wasn't running. Six Flags Great America in 2001 and Six Flags over Georgia in 2003 and 2004. It wasn't until I visited Six Flags Magic Mountain that I was finally able to ride Deja Vu ( And I did it twice in a row, both in the front seat)! In 2012, Deja Vu was moved to Six Flags New England and renamed Goliath, and I rode that one too. Stop the Presses!!! I just remembered another coaster from Six Flags New England in which I had to wait even longer before riding: I forgot about Bizzaro. During my visit in 2001, that coaster ( known back then as Superman) wasn't running due to maintainence issues. This year, 2012 - 11 years later, I finally rode that coaster! Besides those two coasters, I cannot think of anymore rides in which I had to wait for a very long time before getting the chance to ride it. "Hey, what about me? Don't you wait too long before you decide to ride me!"
  3. I've got a question for JJLehto: in one of your post, you said You rode Skyrush 5 times? And not one compliant about how bad your thighs were hurting afterwards? Could it be that the park finally fixed their R-E-S-T-R-A-I-N-T-S for that ride? And did you ride anything else, or just spent the day riding nothing but Skyrush (Which I wouldn't knock down because as a rider and amusement park flyer you can ride what you want and skip out what you don't want to ride. I tried doing that to the Merry Derry Dip, but I end up quitting after five times; all those steps can be a killer )? "Hey, why not do marathons with me? I'm sure you will find it relaxing!"
  4. ^I have to agree with you: one day inside Holiday World just isn't enough especially if you're planning to ride both water side and ride side. What I'm planning when I get there is two days: one day for the water side and the other day for the ride side. With two days inside the park, I'm sure you'll get all the rides you ever need. "Hey, I'm here on your bed and I can give you all the rest you ever need."
  5. Oh, I'm sure that if Six Flags America decides to add in two or three flat rides, then I'm sure attendance at the park is going to sky rocket. If the Six Flags parks are doing their ride rotation program, then perhaps there will be a park or two that has a flat ride they'll be glad to get rid of. There is a spot where Cyclone used to be that could benefit better with a ride there, not to mention that area where the old Two-Face use to sat. C'mon, Six Flags America, give us something! "How about giving me your head to lie on my pillow?"
  6. ^Upon reading that, it seems that news report is sounding like a eulogy one would hear at a funeral service. "We are gather here today to pay our final respects . . . During my one and only visit to Hard Rock Park back in the summer of 2008, I had a great day at the park and would have loved to return on a future date. I even bought a T-shirt - The Moody Blues NIghts in White Satin The Trip - because that was my favorite ride inside the park. I was looking to return in a couple of seasons to hopfully ride any new additions to the park (Believe me, the park had plenty of room for expansion). Then what happened? Hard Rock defaulted, a new group comes in to save the day, we get a watered-down park they named Freestyle Music Park, and they too kicked the bucket within a season. So much for any return trip I may had planned. So who's to blame for this incident? The economy, the owners, the President? Heck, you can be like Milli Vanilli and blame it on the rain, but you cannot blame it on me because I was there for one day during my Myrtle Beach vacation. But it seems to me that since this project is long dead, then let's bury it. Can I get an "Amen"? "Amem!"
  7. Upon checking out the latest picture, I noticed that rider in the middle with his head leaning over, Mewondering if that poor guy was only a moment away from throwing up, or was he also thinking: "I should have stayed on the merry-go-round!" That's one thing to like about roller coasters: it can bring out the best, the worst, and even the silliest riders of the planet. "I know what he was thinking: I wish I was at home, in my bed, lying on my pillow!"
  8. On a coaster, I never have been denied to ride, but on one particular ride I will never EVER ride again because I will not be able to fit into those restraints that were designed by beanpole skinny winks. I do not know what type of ride it is, but there's one in Hersheypark called "The Claw" and other one in Morey's Piers called "It". And it's not because I'm fat, it's because I have a large chest and those restraints cannot lock in tight enough. So I know I can ride rides like Cedar Point's "MaXair" and Six Flags over New England's "Tomahawk" and even the Disc-O rides, but that type of swing circular ride in which the riders ride facing inward and floorless I can never get on, so I'll just skip them and ride something else. "Hey, I don't care how large your chest is, your head is always the right size for me."
  9. I know what that guy in the front row must be thinking: "I should have stayed on the merry-go-round!" "No, I know what he's really thinking: 'I wish I was in bed with my pillow!'"
  10. Okay, here's my list of roller coasters that were placed in bad places: 1) Batwing - Six Flags America - It seems they had to place that coaster in the middle of nowhere, plus it is a very, long walk to get there. And one more thing, besides Superman : Ride of Steel, there is no other attraction that is close or nearby to Batwing. 2) Steel Hawg - Indiana Beach - I say, must I be placed so far away from the other rides or attractions? Why, do I smell or something? 3)Lighting Racer - I'm not complaining where they placed the ride, just the fact that there is only one route to walk to get to the ride. Before Boardwalk came along, there were two routes and you didn't had to pass Wildcat and Wild Mouse and all the other flat rides to get to Lighting Racer. " Are you done yet, because I miss you in bed."
  11. Outstanding! Just completely outstanding! Just hearing the news about Wild Bill's plans just cause me to take a safety break lest the excitement would cause me to poop my pants my joy. I wish I could help him but I don't know of any dark ride or midway ride that is up for sell, but I can offer an idea, and I'll do it for FREE! Purchase a small family roller coaster and turn it into a dark ride. Think about it! Take your plain old Galaxy Coaster, build it inside of a building, add the effects, and make it a space-themed coaster ride. Or you could make it a haunted coaster, or maybe even a crazy coaster? Anyway, that's my idea and you can use for FREE! "Do you know what else you can use for FREE? ME!!!
  12. "Oh Boy, let the construction begin . . . I think there are a bunch of people that are altering their vacation plans so they can visit Fun Stop Action Park, so I'm sure this park doesn't want to disappoint them all, don't we? With so much to build, Mewonders which attraction are they going to put up first. Then Methinks the answer wouldn't matter anyway, just as long everything is up and running by the time we get there next season. By the way, if Fun Spot Action Park decides to use my slogan, then I want a cut! WHITE LIGHTING - CAN YOU SURVIVE ITS STRIKE? "Is 'Mewonders' even a word? If it is, then Mewonders when you'll be coming back to bed?"
  13. Before I write about my visit to Six Flags Over Georgia in which I took a friend with me, I must add two items to some recent posts: 1) I do remember the Mindbender's tracks were painted brown until they were repainted green to help fit into the Gotham City Area. Regardless what color the tracks are, Mindbender is always a great ride. 2) Yes, Team iLuminate is on and you can see them in the Crystal Pistol Theater. Please line up early because you and a thousand others wants to come inside and see them live. It's worth the price of admission alone. June 24 was a hot sunny day that attracted a huge crowd that day, so we got to ride only nine rides ( but I did ride one extra ride - The Santa Maria - late in the evening). Now despite that the day was hot and the park was crowded, we did have a great time although there were a few rides we had to skip. We rode Goliath, Dare Devil Dive, Mindbender, Batman : The Ride, stopped to see Team iLuminate, had lunch and watched A Wild West Comedy Show, took a tour through Monster Mansion, Ninja, Great American Scream Machine, Superman Ultimate Flight, I rode Santa Maria as my friend took a smoking breaking, and our last ride was on the Mine Train. After that, it was getting late, we were exhausted, and we wanted to tour some gift shops before heading back to the motel. In between rides, we explored the rest of the park, including stopping at Skull Island and Bugs Bunny's World. Some comments: I wish the park will bring back the Scrambler. I'm sure it'll fit in any area of the park. The ride attendants running Batman were super slow. It seemed like it took forever before they dispatched a train, and they were running two trains as well. In Gotham City, the old Batman Stuntshow area is still there and still not in use. Either bring back a show or just get rid of it and put something else in its place. By the way, Gotham City sure could use a paint job. And speaking of old showplaces, the one between French and Lickskillet that used to have a sea lion show is just wasting space. I would like to see them put in a new show. Well, that's all from me. "That's a lot of typing you did there, so why don't you come to bed and rest with me?"
  14. ^Upon hearing the news and seeing the updated construction (or more like deconstruction) video, the first thing that popped into my head was "Methinks they are planning to get new and improved trains for The Flying Turns". And I do hope that is the reason for the missing transfer track because I felt that having a longer train for the Flying Turns would fit this coaster better without any worries nor fear of the coaster train jack-knifing somewhere on the track. Perhaps they looked at Kings Dominion's Avalanche and saw how that coaster is still up and running since 1988 and the reason is because the long trains. That's my take on the subject and I hope that this is a sign that improvements are on the way and finally "About Doggone Time!!!" they will open this ride. "Hey, I'm always open, so why don't you ride me?"
  15. Oh Boy, I really hate to say this . . . After news like that, is is any wonder why my next year's vacation trip has Florida, Texas, and Colorado as its top contenders, and why Maggie Valley never ever cracked the top 100? Of course, Gatlinsburg, Tenneessee can also be a contender if I wanted to return to Dollywood and Ober Gatlinsburg next year; alas, no plans to return to Maggie Valley I'm afraid. I'm thinking to believe that maybe Ghost Town in the Sky has finally given up its ghost? "I may be white, but I'm not a ghost; so don't be scared and treat me like I'm a ghost!"
  16. Here's my take on what to do the next time you're at Hersheypark: First ride you must ride is Fahrenheit. "Why? Because each train can hold up to only 12 riders, thus creating a long line that moves slowly. Other coasters that will create the long lines, but they do move a bit swiftly are The Storm Runner, The Great Bear, Skyrush, and The Comet. "Yessireebob! It may be the oldest coaster in the park, yet is still gets the longest lines" The other coasters usually don't have much a line and if they did, they will move pretty fast. You plan on skipping on Sidewinder, just because you've ridden others like it in other parks? No, don't do that; this Boomerang isn't like all those others you may have ridden (unless you've ridden The Carolina Cobra at Carowinds)! I'm talking about those new over-the-shoulder harnesses the ride now employs that make the ride much smoother and more enjoyable, not the old horse collars that should be banned. So give it a try: I'm sure you'll like it. One more thing: don't forget the Superdooperlooper! You can thank me later! And what's this I heard about the flats? I know only two other park that houses The Flying Falcon (And they are Morey's Piers and Six Flags Great America ). And what about The Whip? You can't say that you've visited Hersheypark without at least one ride on The Whip. And I must add my favorite ride The Merry Derry Dip. As for Chocolate World, all the attractions there are fine, the The Great Chocolate Tour is the only attraction you can ride for free (plus you'll get a free chocolate treat after you get off the ride, so how cool is that?"). And I must add that ZooAmerica is also included in your ticket when you enter Hersheypark. So that is my recommendation. Have a great day at Hersheypark. "And don't forget to remember your pillow you've left at home. She'll be missing you terribly."
  17. Thank you for your wonderful photo trip report on Six Flags Over Texas. I last visited the park in 2004 and your photos helped me remind me about what makes this park a great park (hey, it was in this park that the first log flume and first mine train ride debuted - and that was over fifty years ago!). Of course, this park should have some additional rides that weren't there when I visited, but it also have taken some rides out ( does anyone remember a first generation freefall tower called "Wildcat"? And there was once a scrambler ride that stood in the spot where "Superman: Tower of Power now stands today). Glad to see that they hanged on to The Texas Chute Out and Judge Roy Scream (hey, how many parks do you know has an attraction in which you must exit outside the park in order to ride it?). "And when you are done typing in this post, come see me. I'll be in bed, waiting for you."
  18. ^That was the same seat I was in when I rode SKYRUSH: back row, left side wing. If they planning to change their R-E-S-T-R-A-I-N-T-S, then I guess that guest relations received too many complaints about the rider's thighs getting crushed on the airtimes (either that or the park doesn't want me to do marathons on the MERRY DERRY DIP!!!). You know, this reminds me of another coaster at Kings Island called "Adventure Express" that I rode for the first time in its opening season (that was in 1991). That coaster jerked you left and right through every turn. When I rode it again a few years later, the coaster didn't jerk you like it did before, telling me that maintenance fixed the problem. Hopefully, when I return to Hersheypark, SKYRUSH's problems should be solved and that coaster will be a more enjoyable ride. "Hey, what about me? I'm always an enjoyable ride!"
  19. coasterlover420 said I have to agree with you on that aspect. I rode in the back seat and I thought I was on a torture device. Now I have big thighs and I can handle some discomfort, but all those airtimes coming over the hills brought pain after more pain into my thighs. And I rode many airtime coasters that uses the lap bars (such as Six Flags America's Superman Ride of Steel) and I never had a problem like that before. The only part I liked about Skyrush was when it was over! So for me to ever ride Skyrush (or perhaps I should call it "Thighbust!") again, Hersheypark should either slow the ride down, do some reconfiguration to the track, or (I think this is the best idea) change the restraints! Until then, I'll just stay on the Merry Derry Dip. "I've got a better idea: why not ride me? I won't hurt your thighs nor any other body part."
  20. Okay, okay, I finally get it. This smiley's means that I'm "Laughing My @$$ Off"! I'm sorry that I don't speak acronyms! I just simply saw this smiley just rolling around like it was being blown away, so I just thought that smiley meant that I've been blown away. Now that I've found out that it means something else, I'll have to choose a different smiley to indicate how I feel about WHITE LIGHTING. So I'll use this - Now I would like to declare this matter close and just talk about Fun Spot Action Park and all its goodies that it'll be adding on to its expansion. Happy now? Then please come to bed."
  21. ^Hmm . . . I thought that this smiley was the laughing one and this smiley meant that I was blown away. As for the colors in my post, I just like it to use it a lot whenever I post. Looking at page after page of text in plain yellow text can become boring after a while, so I thought some colorful text will break up the mood. Besides, I do go through all the trouble and type in the color codes by hand. By doing so, I have discovered that there are many colors available to be use that isn't listed when you click on the Font colour box. And finally, I do it so I can get noticed. it or it, I'll still keep coloring my text whenever I feel the mood is right. Okay, I should add one more thing before I close - WHITE LIGHTNING!!! Can you survive its strike? "If you want me, then I'll be in bed waiting for you."
  22. After seeing the new and improved layout for WHITE LIGHTING!, you can say that I was BIG TIME! Like I stated in an earlier post "This is how amusement parks are born, folks!" My only concern is that I hope Fun Spot Action Park has plenty of parking, because I have a feeling that they are going to need it BIG TIME! "Please come to bed because I need your head to lay upon mine BIG TIME!"
  23. Saw the video and I was flabbergasted! That elevator was rotating! Because we still don't anything like that in the USA make me wanna BIG TIME!!! "Now, now, don't cry - just lay your head upon me and I'll help you dream that you're there."
  24. Oh Wow! Seeing those pictures of both Mammoth and Sparkler in action got me excited for August. Nothing wrong with the pictures, but if you showed a shot of some pretty girls in bikinis riding Mammoth, then I would really be excited. Maybe I'll get lucky when I go up there and I get to sit with some pretty girls that looks like they came off of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition on the ride (it has happened to me before, years ago in another park). Then again, I maybe sitting with a bunch of riders that don't look like they came off of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition (that has happened to me many times). But regardless who I sit next too, one fact is clear: Mammoth is gonna be one sexy ride! "Hey, what about me? I'm still one sexy pillow."
  25. Did I read that right: you only waited a few minutes to ride Maverick? I never waited for less than 45 minutes from all the times I've been there, so you are one lucky dog. As for your misfortunes for not riding the Millienium Force and Top Thrill Dragster, I can feel your pain. I think that Cedar Point make a mistake by shorting the seatbeats when they should have rip out them all out along with the lap bars and put in the over-the-shoulder harnesses that Kingsta Ka employs. It is disturbing when one year I was able to ride Top Thrill Dragster, then unable to ride it the following year when the test seat belts won't latch, and I even lost a few pounds. Oh well, that was two rides I cannot ride, but there are still tons of rides I could still go on (including a few that somebody with a huge pot belly can get on and enjoy). Great Trip Report, by the way. "I like to present a trip report that features me and the bed and why you should visit us more often."
