Good, I hope they don't make a Jurassic Park IV. The original Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies ever, but the "series" just steadily declined from there. I dislike both the sequels. The story lines don't really make sense, it's like they are just stretching out and filling time in order to cash in on the Jurassic Park name. Sequels should only be made if you have a legitimate story to tell.

I would like to read the book series, but I really have no interest in seeing the movie. Although the guy who plays the "main vampire" also played Cedric Diggory in the one Harry Potter movie... He's in his 20s, so it's perfectly ok for me to say HE'S HOT!!

Buca di Beppo is an Italian restaurant where they force you to eat loads of food. They serve everything "family style" which means they give you a lot and you're supposed to share. -
It seems like I keep getting a bunch of new credits, but they must all be steel, because my wood poll is still pathetic. Six Flags Haircuts?!

^I'm just curious, why do you always hit "return" after typing a comma? :/ Well they DID have a line of toys you know... http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&search-alias=toys-and-games&field-brandtextbin=Six%20Flags Although I guess they are amusement industry related as they are kind of related to a water park. As for this "coaster cuts" stuff, I think it is probably videos, although it would be hilarious if SF opened some barber shops. -
Why Cedar Fair?
niiicolaaah replied to the ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yep... I have been to 5 Cedar Fair parks and I would much rather visit ANY of them than HRP. HRP had a lot of "charm" but next to nothing to do. Cedar Fair is obviously doing SOMETHING right. Maybe they are smarter with their money, take more calculated risks like buying the Paramount parks versus HRP where they had no idea what they were doing in the first place and wasted SO much money getting the park started. Or maybe there is some magic we're not aware of in the trash cans. -

This is just like that SmarterChild AIM bot from a few years ago. Still fun! Me: Are you a guy or a girl God:I am a Male, of course. Would you really expect a woman to be running the show?. Me: OH SNAP God:I see. What do you do in your spare time? Me: masturbate God:That kind of subject does not interest me. Me: oh God:I don't judge people. Me: Are you a chauvanist? God:Am I a chauvanist? Yes. Me: oh cool -

By the way.... the year is 2008... -
I do both, because I can't figure out how to format a .txt file!! I keep the ballot in microsoft word and then update it as I ride coasters throughout the year. Then I have to use the Coasterfanatics helper because no matter what program I use, I can't format the ballot right and then Mitch emails me back saying it doesn't work. Stupid Mac's!

I think HRP should have done more research on other parks by the ocean. Let's compare HRP to another place by the ocean with a similar tourist market, say, Wildwood. When we went to Morey's Piers earlier this year, I was amazed at how dead it was during the day. But then, after dark, the ENTIRE boardwalk and all the piers were JAM PACKED with people. Disregarding all other differences between the parks (like, say, the fact that Morey's actually has water rides and a ton of things to do), HRP did two basic things terribly wrong: 1. Location too far away from the beach. If you didn't know where you were going, I could see it being very easy to be in MB and NEVER see HRP. It is nowhere near the "grand strand" beach area, and not even near Boardwalk at the Beach, both of which pull in a lot of tourists. Compare that to Morey's which is right on the beach, you can't miss it if you are in Wildwood. So while Myrtle Beach itself may not be a bad location, its location in Myrtle Beach could have been better. 2. Price. Everyone has said this before, but who wants to pay $50 to get into a park you will be done with after 2 hours? Morey's runs on tickets, which makes it very easy for people to spend just a few hours there. If I was a regular non-coaster enthusiast family of 4 going to the beach, it would be to experience the beach, and I would then look for something for the family to do after the sun went down and you couldn't swim any more. I would be MUCH more likely to take the family to Morey's and spend $50 for the kids to ride a bunch of rides, than drive all the way from the beach to HRP and then spend $200 to ride for a few hours. I don't understand why HRP did not take things like this into consideration. It seems like they were in their own little "this is awesome, we are invincible" fantasy world, and I am not surprised in the least that they failed miserably.

Having Dorney as one of my "home parks" I say.... No thanks! It won't work anyway! That coaster was a bad idea from the start! But I guess that makes it fit in great with the overall theme of HRP. If they put random stuff in the park up for public auction, someone should buy me the guitar fountain that plays "Stairway to Heaven"!!

Did you ride Laser? It's being removed after this season... -
I got Earth, which makes sense as I am an Earth sign (Virgo)

Good luck... I had the most god-awful time at SFNE this weekend. We waited in line for Superman for 90 minutes and watched the ops testing the ride... they didn't start testing it until the park opened and then we watched as they tested one train... then put the 2nd train on and tested them for one cycle... then took the 2nd train off and tested the other train for 15 minutes... then put the 2nd train back on and tested them... then stood around for a while doing nothing... then we left the line. So I guess... moral of the story... don't try to ride Superman first, cause if the park opens at 10:30, that ride won't open until at least 12!
