  1. Well, there's still Knott's, Universal, and Disneyland. At least those parks still look to have a great year (at least Knott's). Just saying, Magic Mountain isn't the only park in Southern California, and its not like it determines the fate of everything else.
  2. Ah, the infamous "neighbors". Well they might as well be called "inconsiderate people who are against anything that would be great for anything because a slight portion of the lake would be covered by a great coaster". Oh well, thanks guys!
  3. Hmmm, anyone want to make a petition to Great America to build a new ride. Just to show that people actually care?
  4. It would seem that half the park is now close until Spring 2011. Lame.
  5. "More than 500 people in line" yeah, I'm going to guess that's mostly TPR members. This is going to take just a little while possibly...
  6. The GCI that was suppose go in to Great Ameica a year and a half ago, but never happened because of the neighbors of the park.
  7. I don't think you realize the difference. Inverted boomerangs are way better than normal ones! The people that argue Invertigo to be the best are mainly the general public. Flight Deck really is the best though, and you can't deny that ride. However, Great America really is in need of some fresh rides, but that isn't happening anytime soon.
  8. California Screamin' at Disney's California Adventure.I still think it's a great ride. It's also the coaster that sparked my roller coaster enthusiasm.
  9. Home park is California's Great America. The best ride is Flight Deck by a good margin. However, some argue that Invertigo is the best.
  10. ^Agreed. But, have you noticed (I'm asking this to everyone) that with Al Weber in charge, that he's already making things more like Paramount did, where they're trying to make it more based around movies (warner in this case)? Paramount really took advantage and used alot of different movies to incorperate with their rides (Top Gun for example). They've already started doing that (Superman Escape From Krypton, Green Lanturn, etc.). Also, I hope they manage the parks better than they did with the former Paramount Parks. By the time they were all bought out by Cedar Fair, they were all looking in pretty bad shape (luckily Cedar Fair changed most of that). Just something to think about.
  11. Well, Drop Tower is 224 feet which was the height limit that was said a few posts ago. Does anybody know how low the right limits go?
  12. ^Flight Deck/Top Gun is sure one amazing ride.
  13. Even after riding Alpengeist, and Top Gun (CGA), Raptor gets my vote easily. Here's best Inverts my order: 1.Raptor 2.Top Gun (CGA) 3.Alpengeist 4.Silver Bullet 5.Batman clones
  14. You do realize that Mantis has no trims anymore as of the 2010 season right?
  15. I wasn't aware CGA had any hright limit. I do realize that there is an airport nearby but, I thought the height limit was higher.
  16. Big-M-You are right sbout Racer, and Blue Streak being smaller, and easier to maintain rides. Even with all the BS Cedar Fair gets with trims, it's still just so sad that this has happened to Ghostrider. I rode it just over a month before this happends. Lucky me. Ghostrider was the only coaster i n California to have ejector air, albeit it's that very drop that got trimmed.
  17. I think that Cedar Fair's reasoning behind turning the MCBR up completely could be that it would decrease maintainance on the ride without having to close the ride to put a trim on the first drop (which may be easier said than done because it is covered). This is pure speculation, but I think this could even be a temporary way to decrease maintainance for the next few months before they trim the drop. I haven't been on GhostRider, but I found it surprising reading how it has reportedly gotten so brutal and hadn't been trimmed (This is CF we're talking about). I think it has had this coming for years now. Hurler, Timber Wolf, Mean Streak, Beast, Thunderhawk, etc. have all gotten the same treatment. Cedar Fair hasn't put trims on, Renegade, Prowler, Blue Streak, Grizzly, Racer, or even, Son Of Beast just to name a few. I think, Cedar Fair gets bashed too hard for putting trims on their wooden coasters. Tell me, would you rather actually suffer the pain of Mean Streak without trims? I'm guessing not. If anything, all trims on their wooden coasters are rides that would be way too rough otherwise. Just a thought.
  18. Really? That's a suprise, I can see why Paramunt dropped it though.
  19. That would be awesome if you could show us. I'd love to see that! As for Raging Waters, I know for a face that for now at least, all three parks are owend by Palace Entertainment. Palace, has been around ever since 1998. So, I'd assume that it's been owned by Palece since 1998 because it otherwise would've stated that they bought Raging Waters later. Paramount, was kind of like Six Flags was in that they're kind of what I would call a "sellout company" where they will advertise anything they can to get more revenue. Since Raging Waters was nearby, it seems very likely that Paramount was just offered a deal to advertise them, and I think that must've been what happened.
  20. ^That would never hapen in a million years.
  21. Xcelerator needs a new paint job. But luckily, they've already beegun doing that. Millenium Force also needs some new paint. I honest;y don't care what they do to Ghostrider. Honestly, I kind of like its roughtness.
