My first real kiss was underwater when I was 13 at some waterpark or other here in FL even though I lived in Pittsburgh at the time. I was astute enough to not give the dude my number or email address though. Playin on....

Actually I was more into coasters when I was around your age, YOUNGEN, and have "grown out of it" for the most part. Still enjoy going and riding but I don't keep up with the "community" or the coaster news much anymore. I just want to know why anyone is actually posting in this guy's thread with serious answers -

Did the Swedish government create an anti-sarcasm device that blocks any wandering rays of sarcasm from entering the country? Or is it just because you are 12? -

Nope. You see, in the secret girl handbook it explicitly mentions that no girl shall ever actually like rollercoasters or amusement parks. That's why so many coaster enthusiasts are gay, didn't you know that? Jeez... -

What is the best concert you have ever been to?
nyanko replied to SonOfBeastSucks's topic in Random, Random, Random
The freaking Aquabats put on such an awesome show. It was definitely what I compare every single show to now and they all just fall short. If I were just going by the band whose music I like the most that I've seen live, however, Rancid. <3 But no show I've been to has ever matched that of The Aquabats in pure showmanship and energy and fun. -

Well, a minor victory, but I got the highest score this summer so far on my major's (Molecular Biology and Microbiology) exit exam that we have to pass to graduate. 50% of people passed on first try and I had the highest score. Fall grades: Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy: B+ (blah) Physics I: B (double blah) Microbial Metabolism: A Honors Directed Readings: A Molecular Biology I: A Spring grades: Advanced Genetics: A- (graduate course triple blah) Pathogenic Microbiology: B Pathogenic Microbiology lab: A Research Methods for undergrads: A Statistical Methods I: A Summer so far: Immunology (was only first 6 weeks of summer): A Immunology lab (same): A Undergrad Honors Thesis (defending on July 19): A Still have Molecular Biology II to finish and Physics II (Molec II is second 6 weeks and Physics II is all summer). Even if I get A's in both I will miss out on graduating cum laude by .03 points (ending up with a 3.77) because my major is full of pre-med overachievers!

Oh I know that there is no convincing of anybody who is so resolute in their opinions. However for the sport of debate and for people reading this who may not completely understand because they haven't been taught yet or for whatever reason I feel that it is important to counter the arguments and points brought up by someone who believes something different and goes so far as to make statements that display a lack of knowledge on the matter. coasterfan: I'm not really insulting you, it is just that your posts were a little hard to read because of the language barrier that seemed to exist.
-
You do not understand evolution and if anybody is misunderstanding you it is because you are very poor at getting your point across in an articulate and intelligent manner. Honestly, it is really that hard to use spell checking and try to use proper grammar? It sort of discredits your very tangible arrogance to make so many grammatical errors. -Natalie "at least if I act arrogant, I back it up with my presentation!" Villani

Because to qualify as a "theory" it has to fulfill the criteria of the scientific explanation, so your logic is deeply flawed. The "gatherings" (what does this even mean?) it is based on are tens of thousands of repeatable and controlled experiments. And why aren't you answering my question?
-
You don't seem to understand what a "theory" in science is. The scientific definition of theory is quite different from the dictionary definition used in general parlance. A scientific theory has been developed and proven many times over in research labs and academic classrooms. Gravity is a "theory," relativity is a "theory." Theories are often subject to minor changes, but once something is considered to be a theory it is not likely to be disproven. Let me ask you this: Do you believe that all organisms on earth share the same basic building blocks, such as nucleic acids, amino acids, carbohydrates etc?

Incidentally, Windows Vista is not worth it. There is literally no point at all to putting Vista on there if you already have XP on it.
