  1. I Found 7 duckies on this one. Lock me in, please!
  2. Sorry to hear that I'll miss you at WCB this year - and totally enjoyed meeting you and your lovely lady at DSB last year. That said, I'm going with 3 duckies!
  3. It's been many, many years since my one and only visit to Mt. Rushmore - good to see it hasn't changed! I've sorta always wished that they'd finished the Lincoln carving, like in the model, though. Still very cool to sculpt that with dynamite, though!
  4. Good luck on the inaugural Tink! Did you order the commemorative necklace?
  5. I feel late to the party - but can I still put in for four duckies at Liseberg? If so, Four Duckies at Liseberg.
  6. Texas Giant is on his typos and needed corrections page, and it notes that it will be deleted as it is now steel tracked. As per the instructions page, concerning typos:
  7. Looks like the entire chain. From the Official SeaWorld Parks Blog: http://www.seaworldparksblog.com/seaworld-parks-entertainment-announces-coca-cola-company-new-official-sponsor
  8. Lets see...it's been a busy year. I'll try to remember them in order: Animal Kingdom Magic Kingdom Islands of Adventure Universal Studios Florida Disney's Hollywood Studios Epcot Sea World Orlando Six Flags America Kings Dominion Six Flags Over Texas Six Flags Over Georgia Carowinds Busch Gardens Williamsburg Planned but Missed: Six Flags New England Cedar Point
  9. Registered today for the WDW half marathon in January. It'll be my first race, and I'm running it with my sister (who's not a coaster nerd but loves Disney). Anyone else going to be there, and what should I expect the morning of the race?
  10. Intimidator. After making a full credit run at Carowinds in 2 hours.
  11. MontaƱa Rusa at La Feria Chapultepec Magico
  12. Underground at Adventureland (IA)?
  13. Coaster thrill ride at Puyallup Fair? Nevermind, doesn't meet criteria...
  14. I truly have to say,- for my very first TPR event, this REALLY didn't disappoint. Though I was a singleton when I arrived, it was great to meet people and quickly;y form into a group - shows the kind of folk that comprise TPR. This will SO NOT be my last TPR event - already making plans to hit WCB and ECB next year (Wherever and whenever ECB is, that is). It was also awesome to run into Josh at Carowinds when I stopped to make a credit run on the way home, and really cool to have a partner in making the run (13 coasters in 2 hours!). Thanks for all the great memories, and I look forward to WCB in March!
  15. Here's my thesis on the subject (sorry for the kindergarten reading level readers out there - I'm going to use advanced concepts): Amazing =! Great BBW was a Great coaster. It consistently was running at or near capacity, with enough of a line to keep the trains full, barring the occasional single rider seat. The fact that the lines were not 6 hours long is irrelevant. It was not, especially in the last 10 years, Amazing. That designation is probably best reserved for coasters that go above and beyond your wildest expectations for it. Robb, your analogy of selling the car that you lost your virginity in is probably rather apt. In addition, I had been looking forward to getting my kids to 'pop their cherry' (so to speak) on non-kiddie coasters there. When you consider the intensity and height limits of most coasters out there, it was one of the best to make the step up on. Huge amounts of fun, but not so thrilling that it was intimidating. It filled a very important niche in the progression of a nascent enthusiast. I understand the reasons behind scrapping the ride. I really do. That doesn't mean that I can't still consider it a Great ride, and miss it all in the same breath.
  16. I was at Christmastown on Saturday. The rain was really not that big of an issue, but it did keep the crowd down somewhat. The show in Italy is very well done, although I think that the dancers were restricted in the area they used of the stage because of the rain - the edges would have been slippery. Griffon was not running, as one of the other members of my group mentioned that the splashdown pool (which is also used for braking) appeared frozen. I didn't check myself, so can't confirm the frozenness. I can confirm that it wasn't running. Also, Europe in the air is also running, for those who need to warm up. My favorite show, though, had to be Rejoice! over in Ireland.
