  1. Question... You said "ride signs"... and I am curious: do walk-through attractions and permanent shows that have signs count as well? Or are we sticking to ha hard-and-fast "it must be a ride" rule? Thanks for the clarification, Big Mike! Enjoy your trip!
  2. ^yeah, after talking with my sister, who registered at the same time, it seems your list is likely correct - her number would put her in Corral "D" for the event - and that seems to be about right as compared to the WDW race we did in January. That fact that we registered back-to-back and have numbers so far apart is certainly convincing on the #=corral argument, though! Even if those are only estimates (and I wouldn't be surprised if they were fully correct), it does seem like a sensible number per corral. Kudos on the detective work and finding the chart!
  3. My # is 338, and my best 1/2 marathon is 1:45. I don't expect to be in corral A, but I guess it is possible. I think that the numbers are simply serial numbers, assigned in the order you signed up. This would make sense to me, as I registered at the health and fitness expo during WDW marathon weekend last January, before it was open to the greater population. I would be excited to purchase one if they were made available. Sadly, I'd suspect that there's not a large enough subsection of our community to support it. Still, "TPRunning" would make for a great logo, wouldn't it?
  4. Speaking of Dickie's potentially MIA, I'm posting from Knoebels this morning and though I have a picture of the ducky's hiding spot, there was no ducky to be found. Anyone else have it? I'll post my photographic evidence when I get home.
  5. Assuming I'm already "on the clock", I'd like: CHICAGO WHITE SOX CINCINNATI REDS PITTSBURGH PIRATES Thanks for the awesome fun, Big Mike!
  6. I was headed down I95 the other day, and something caught my eye... This looks like an interesting place to visit... A Car! Lots of those on I95! Wait... What have we here? It's Hockey Ducky! Additionally, since I'm involved in the Not So Epic Contest... My local Class A Baseball team has a Dippin' Dots stand. Since today's game is already over, and the field has been secured, you'll see the fence between me and the stand. However, you can see clearly in the picture that Big Mike is Da Man!
  7. Wendy's. IIRC, it's $17 off at the gate, $20 off if you buy online in advance.
  8. True, but putting Goliath a mere 11 miles from a copy of itself seems like something of a failure to plan, or at least recognize what their competitors have. It's not like SFFT was the only SF park that didn't have a Batman clone already. Anywho, back to the regularly scheduled SFMM discussion: I agree that a S:UF clone (a la SFDK) would fit much better in the Deja Vu footprint. I can't say I see them swapping the new S:UF and GL:FF as long as they're both still drawing significant lines.
  9. And let's not forget about Great White, a clone that's just ACROSS TOWN from where they (relocated and) opened Goliath 11 years later. So no, no precedent for clones in close proximity, especially not by SFI...
  10. I've been receiving the eNewsletters about every 2 weeks... so that timing would match what I've been seeing.
  11. ^sorry, was trying to hop on the bad pun bandwagon there... guess my wit just didn't work, this time. Hopefully some of the others here can pull me up to their level.
  12. Oooops! The same thing happened with BGW's Mach Tower. Also like Mach Tower, I think this will be a real letdown.
  13. You might be a coaster nerd if you use a TPR filtered word in casual conversation without thinking about it. When some one looks at you strange and asks "Noodles?" you just tell them what it's supposed to mean and move on.
  14. I was bracing myself heavily during Coasting for Kids too... agreed that it's probably better than it used to be, but I avoid it because it beats me up so badly, even now. The best use for that ride is as kindling, IMO.
  15. Thanks for all the work on this, Larry! I had no idea that there were so many in such reasonable proximity to me. I may have to add one of these to my park excursions for the summer...
  16. I'll go with: Boston Red Sox Tamba Bay Rays San Francisco Giants and... Me and Elvis!
  17. I'll try to get one of me with the ducky sometime soon - I was just in a hurry and by myself at the time.
  18. I decided to make a quick stop at SFA yesterday, as the park was nowhere near on my way home. What's that I see over there? It's Elvis Ducky!
  19. Thus Far: WDW Marathon Weekend - Hollywood Studios Magic Kingdom Epcot West Coast Bash - Magic Mountain Knotts Berry Farm Pacific Park Coasting for Kids - Kings Dominion On my to do list, in no particular order: Busch Gardens Williamsburg Six Flags America Cedar Point Knoebels Beach Bend Holiday World Disneyland Disney California Adventure Knotts Berry Farm
  20. Please, Don't be sorry for the high degree of difficulty - it's more fun to see all of the "seemingly random guesses" when you "Just Know" you've found the right number!
  21. I must count myself in amongst the coffee addicts... If I fail to have my daily coffee (by 9AM), I become Not A Nice Person. Seriously, my family starts trying to get me to drink coffee by 8 if I haven't started already. With that said, I brew Caribou Coffee for myself. My favorite roast and blend is called Obsidian. Caribou Coffee - always rich and smooth, because "Burnt and Bitter" was already taken.
  22. The question is, how much downtime would that require? Building a new attraction, while likely more expensive than a retheme, would mean that they have continuous operation of the ride system, allowing one to finish, and be operational, before the other goes down. What would they do with Spiderman, in that case? could be anything... as long as it fits the new theme of the area.
