  1. May I express my surprise that one of the first projects they worked on has not yet been mentioned? While it has been a couple of seasons since my last ride on The Beast (KI), it has, in my opinion, aged well. While Summers and Dinn were not the only ones involved, they were certainly prime movers in the project, though they are often blurred into the categories of "The Kings Island maintenance/construction team" (Dinn) and "Curtis D Summers engineering, in conjunction with Taft staff designers" If there's one that has aged well, it's The Beast. Certainly better than low 40s in the wold.
  2. Robb - that seems like a great activity - just the sort of thing to know when I take my family next spring. Love the mini-TR, please continue them!
  3. ^^It would make sense that they started work on a more permanent solution even when they decided to put the trims on the drop. That gave them quite a bit of time to do a computerized re-profile, run all the simulations they needed, and even do fabrication work to be ready for reconstruction at the end of the season.
  4. Much more information, including ride names, in this report from Fox Orlando. http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/attractions/legoland/102110-legoland-plans
  5. Larry - The European standard notation reverses the functions of the comma and the decimal point. So when the quote is "USD 64.498 ", you should read "$64,498" A price of 64 dollars and 49 cents would normally be written USD 64,49. Fun, huh?
