  1. So I've been working on my next project and will be starting a thread either tomorrow or Wednesday. Here's a pic of a restaurant outside the park's gate.s Restaurant.BMP It's also my first time with any hacks, disregard the underground path.
  2. yup, this is just incredible. You never cease to amaze me. And I cannot find anything that needs work or any suggestions. Great work.
  3. ^very nice, just replace that small pond with more of the path to open the area a little.
  4. ^^I'm going on Monday, June 18th, which I think would be a slow day, right? Would schools be doing trips by then or are they done? Sorry for my lack of knowledge of the English educational system.
  5. I am venturing, for my first time, to the UK and unfortunately have only 1 day dedicated to a theme park. I'll be staying in London only and want to go to either Alton Towers or Thorpe Park. But which one? I will not have a rental car or any private transportation so the 2.5 hour drive (according to Google) might be too steep unless there was some public transportation (but even then, its still a good distance away). Thorpe is literally next to the airport we're coming into and I'm positive I can find some transit from London to Thorpe. So what do you think? Maybe offer some tips on how to save $ and which seats on the coasters are the best. Thanks
  6. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I use coastercounter.
  7. Phenomenal work. But just a question: how many "big" coasters do you have? Just from memory, you have a B&M Invert, hyper, vertical-dive coaster, a Morgan, an Intamin, etc. It just seems like you have solely large coasters without smaller rides. Just wondering.
  8. ^Agreed, and also make the tunnel for the coaster larger as it looks like a really tight fit right now.
  9. ^Agreed, definitely add depth. In each screen, I see the color gray a lot and it takes away from the park atmosphere. Maybe change the colors of some walls. Still, looks great.
  10. Xtreme, you know how I feel about this. Fantastic tutorial and I have already applied it with great success. I hope you will be posting more tutorials like this for other hacks. Never before have I come across anything as easy to follow as these directions for RCT2. Nice job.
  11. I don't mind people using work as inspiration or copying it. If anything, I encourage it so people can develop their own style, plus your's looks great. And I wouldn't say I'm any better than you. Seriously, you have major skills with NCS, your work speaks for itself.
  12. I would agree with this statement. Just watch your over-usage of the hedges on both walls and gardens.
  13. Looks great. What's that I see to the left of the drop tower, with the waterfall and blue coaster going up that wall? Seems familiar to me. Is that the same thing I used at Indian Point? If it is, thats fine but it does look really good.
  14. Steel: SheikRa @ Busch Gardens Tampa Wood: Wildcat @ Hershey
  15. Or you could upload it to the exchange instead of just one person... (HINT HINT HINT) R.D. Games Forum Management Team I thought of that but then, frankly, it will just be forgotten and never given personal attention in my opinion. Simiticable, do you really want it? I'll PM you if so.
  16. I'm not sure why I feel like giving it up. That said, I think someone else should take it up and I'll gladly give it to them. Maybe I'm more of a "build a whole park" guy, not just one ride.
  17. ^Great, just move that fountain down a few units so it breaks up the large area of only path and maybe add some trees. This was suppose to be a NE entry but I just could not get into it. I don't know why, I'm just not a fan. So I'll be starting another major park soon, does anyone want this layout and I'll PM them? SCR1.BMP True Grit, don't take the name though, I am going to be making a better one with the same name later.
  18. So I've been experimenting with 8cars (the one from pg. 13 here) and I have a couple of questions Google cannot answer (and they sound really simple but this is my first time using any trainer): 1. How do I launch from a Giga Coaster (that's the Intamin track)? 2. How do I change from one track piece to another (for example, from a B&M Flying to 4-D)? 3. How do I make stations invisible without making the track invisible? EDIT: I figured out my first question.
  19. Both Phantom and Shooting Star look really good. And your architecture, as always, is fantastic. But, in that first pic with the building that has 4 brown columns and yellow glass, just doesn't look great. Also, add some foliage and different land textures to Shooting Star in between the track. Very good work, sir.
  20. I too voted for Mythos. By far, it was the most realistic and just a great idea for a K'Nex.
  21. A lot is unfinished. But, from what you have, the architecture and complexity of most buildings is very good. This is a space theming, right?
  22. No word yet (as expected) on how voting is going at NE. I don't really care what the score is. I am just proud this park is my debut park over at NE. Regardless of scoring, I enjoyed the park and show it to you proudly. As promised, here is my official tour of the stadium and surronding area. I usually hate people who make story lines and timelines but I couldn't resist going all out for this one. Roller Coasters Mako-a colossal wooden coaster with twists and turns Tidal Wave-launches riders from the station at 40 mph into a half-pipe for 5 laps Other Attractions Riptide Slides-a massive slide complex featuring 3 unforgetable plummets sitting next to the beach Thunder Speedway-a go-kart race with fellow competitors Skyline-get a bird's eye view of the whole boardwalk area Touch-Em'-All-a classic carasoual themed to baseball Renegade's Sky Club-watch the game from an enormous ferris wheel in left field Sawmill Scrambler-a twister ride constructed under a waterfall Playground-take a break from the beach and come relax at the playground and waterworks Pitching Cages-see how hard you can throw. Located at Gate 5B and Gate 3A Mount Vesuvius-drop at speeds of 70 mph from 150+ feet Hotel California-a courtyard maze surronded by an abandoned hotel New York/Baseball References Being a Yankee fan, baseball player, and proud New Yorker, I reference the city and surronding area quite a lot. Spot these references when you download (will be up after NE releases it) or in the pics. Names-check the names of the workers, mechancis, and even security. Workers are named after the MLB greats with some positioned in their spots (Mariano Rivera in the bullpen, Nolan Ryan on the mound, etc.). Mechanics are named after managers and the 1 security guard is named after Jim Joyce, the infamous ump who blew the perfect game call (but I can't blame him). Retired Jerseys in RF-in right-field are the retired numbers of players. Of course, 42 is Jackie Robinson, with #9 as Will Joel (Billy Joel?) and #2 as Springsteen (Bruce), both of whom are essential to New York music. Subway-the underground subway is named after the B,D, and 4 lines, all of which are stops at Yankee Stadium Bus Stop-the number bus at the stop is the same number for Yankee Stadium Ads-at Thunder Speedway, 2 ads are on the walls: 1 for Shake Shack, the best burger in NY and the world, and the NY Times. In LF, a W.B. Mason hangs, just like RF at Yankee Stadium. Hard Rock Cafe-there is a Hard Rock Cafe at Yankee Stadium Indian Point-the park is named after the closest nuclear power plant company, just like First Energy. If you've read all this, congrats. 23. I meant to comment on this but forgot. ^^Hornet looks great. I would say that straight section after the Immelmann needs something and fix that turn after the 2 corkscrews, just doesn't look right. ^I've never though of a dueling bobsled but you pulled it off really well. Try not to use brakes except for at the brake run, just throws off the look of the track. Vary your tree usage and maybe add something to make that brick chimney look better. Great station and supports. Looking forward to more.

    Tampa Trip

I'm back from Busch Gardens and it was fantastic. Thanks for everyone's helpful responses. Here's my general review: Cheetah Hunt: except for the 60+ wait, favorite coaster. 3 great launches, beautifully executed, and the run over the water is just pure bliss. Went back seat and 2nd row, both were great and had no preference. They ran 4 trains which were generally accompanied by slow operations. 9/10 Montu: Why is this not regarded as a better coaster? Went front row (incredible) and back row (great experience). And to top it all off, no wait. Really, every time I was there, it was walk on despite running 2 trains only. Its just great. 8.5/10 Kumba: Only got to go on once which I was very disappointed about. Of teh 2 days there, it was broken down 3 different times. The 2nd time it broke down, I was loaded in my seat and they told us to get out because the train broke down on the lift. I even think the people of the broken train got tickets for another day (but I got nothing). The only time we went on, we were front row and it was just great. Little shaky in her old age, but Kumba is still beautiful. 8.5/10 Gwazi: Obviously, no wait but was still good. I've been on rougher and better woodies but a solid coaster no less 6.5/10 SheiKra: 200 ft is high in Florida. Great drop, great speed, great Immelmann, great splashdown. As everyone says, I wish dive coasters were loner but I can live with this one. Ran 4 trains and had only a 10 minute wait. 7.5/10 Scorpion: Its historic so I had to. It killed me, but they ran only 1 train so it was a 30 minute wait. I've been on better, but still it was alright 5/10 Zamabia Smokehouse: Best theme park food I have ever had. Great BBQ, apple cobbler, and other stuff. And to complete the perfect image, it was a fair price: large soda was $2.99, desert was $3.50, and entrees ranged from $7 to $15 with really good portions and nice staff. Fantastic and great views of SheiKra. 9.5/10 Animal exhibits: I am naturally against these domestication of creatures unless their habitats/treatment is world class. Most seemed generally happy and well taken care of. By far, the best exhibit was the gorillas. So funny when the littlest threw mud at the alpha and began a chase around the area. Serenghti (that is not how its spelled) could have been better, probably because I was expecting something like Animal Kingdom's. 7.5/10 Scenery: Beautiful work on waterfalls, rock formations, dense jungles, etc. 9/10 Park: I was really impressed and will certainly come back when even 2 hours away from the park. Nice staff, beautiful place, great coasters, fun for the whole family. 9/10
