  1. Is that a Huss or an Intamin swing? Knowing China, probably neither.
  2. I'm just glad we all made it out of the Dells with our lives. I think the most fun I had that day was playing the redemption games at the indoor park.
  3. First, thanks again for checking out the report. It always blows me away how many views these things get. Incredible. Sorry, I didn't emphasize it, beatle11. I mentioned that I rubbed the tire and wheel against the curb while parallel parking at Brighton Pier. When we returned the car the next day, Hertz added GBP275 to my bill, something like US$476! I paid it (instead of making an insurance claim on the spot as we had a plane to catch) and then put in a claim to American Express (I have the additional Amex rental car insurance; it's a flat US$25 per rental) when we got home. They took it off my cc bill within a week or so. I don't like paying for the insurance, but things do happen. And $25 is a better deal than what you get in Italy. No U.S. insurance will cover you there and you have to pay the ridiculous insurance premium that they charge at the counter. On our last Italian trip, the insurance was more expensive than the rental itself! The best insurance is one you never have to use, but I'd be damn glad to have it after something like this. Thanks for the reply.
  4. Great report Martin! You got me curious though. You said you had dodged a bullet with the rental car. What happened?
  5. If I had to pick one, I'd say the forum. That said, I really like having both.
  6. Thanks for sharing this trip! I must get out to Sweden and the rest of Europe one day.
  7. "Now that's what I call a sticky situation!" I still can't believe this place exists in the United States, but I'm glad it does!
  8. And I though a standard Chance toboggan was wrong to begin with. This report is awesome!
  9. ^ I remember on Silver Comet that they wouldn't allow you to put your own lap bars down. The ops had to do it themselves. If one person puts their own lap bar down, everyone's lap bar goes back up and they start again. I was there very soon after the Ride Of Steel accident at Darien Lake so that might have something to do with it. Can't really fault them for not wanting to take any chances but that was pretty annoying.
  10. Great report, even though the day didn't seem to go very well.
  11. Six Flags America pretty much sucked when I visited, but I didn't get the same feeling of a lack of safety like I did at Mount Olympus.
  12. Have to wait and see for this year but after tax a Funnel Cake at Canada's Wonderland costs about 12 or 13 bucks.
  13. Great pics again! I can't believe I still haven't gone back to Orlando!
  14. Definitely glad to hear the recent reports from Kings Island Sounds like Banshee is a winner. Another fine shirt for the collection.
  15. I was just going to mention this. Obviously that makes things a bit more challenging to work around. This won't be a problem for Disney or Universal but would be for most other parks.
  16. RMC is going to be a force for years to come! I personally like Millennium Force better, but I totally can see why others would prefer Leviathan more.
  17. I thought originally we were dealing with the same person. Evidently I was wrong.
  18. I was just going to comment on the same thing. That being said, the park does seem to be taking some small steps in the right direction. Hopefully that continues.
