  1. I recorded this on my iphone and put it on youtube so sorry for the quality but does anybody notice something odd about this commercial? ( I do know what it is wrong with it just so everyone knows)
  2. I think there is more benches there then there are trash cans in the entire park lol. Even if they didn't take out the grass for a new coaster/ride, I'd much rather have grass under a ride than asphalt. It would keep the area cooler. Whatever they put in, it would be nice if the cue line had a roof to protect from the sun.
  3. I was working the loader side saying clear two. So you probably saw me considering I worked until closing. Yup, I heard you, as well as other ride attendants having fun The Flight Deck crew was very enthusiastic today, which is awesome I must say. The only other TPR members I recall seeing today was Sunfire, who was in the control booth for Demon. Awww thank you, that means a lot to me
  4. Considering what I posted was based off what you told me then yea I don't think it will be much of ride. I thought the point of a WindSeeker was for it to be high. If it can only go to the height of drop tower then just ride that.

  6. Well isn't a windseeker like 300 feet? The height limit is a lot less then that. If they make it lower I don't think it will be much of ride.
  7. I'm good and considering that cga are still hiring for haunt this year (HR told me) then I think it will still be there.
  8. I have a feeling that the cheese that they had might have been the cheese nearest the heat source. Thats my feeling but I don't know how they are served.
  9. 1. Intimidator (Carowinds) 2. Afterburn (Carowinds) 3. TTD (CP) 4. Flight of Fear (KI) 5. MILF (CP) 6. Sky Rocket (Kennywood) 7. Jack Rabbit (Kennywood) 8. Wicked Twister (CP) 9. Flight Deck (CGA) 10. Fire hawk (KI)
  10. Sky Rocket at Kennywood has a pretty small footprint and goes upside down not a loop.
  11. As much as this is messed up, it's not that uncommon for a work place to terminate or suspend someone. My work someone didnt stop told the supervisor and let the guy walk out the door. He did everything by the book and got suspended for it. Luckily he got his job back. So my point is that Walmart probably would have fired them anyway for not stopping him.
  12. I'm a park management major which works with state parks and federal parks
  13. yea I saw this and what caught my eye the most about it was the fact that the 4 year old grabbed the tray and it fell on him. Why would the parents let a 4 year old grab the tray? So wouldn't the fault be on the parents? In all fairness I did see the picture and it obviously was painful but like other people have mentioned nacho cheese is going to be hot because who wants cold nacho cheese. "This is the second lawsuit filed against Disney this week. On Monday, a quadriplegic visitor at Disneyland filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles following an evacuation issue on the It's A Small World ride alleging the Walt Disney Co. "violated the Americans with Disabilities Act by failing to have adequate evacuation procedures for visitors with mobility disabilities," On this, I was talking to my BF about it. He said there is no specific walkway to help people off. All they can do is push the boats until they get into the main area.
  14. They have had a wild mouse before, my mom remembered it. So I don't think they would put a new one in because older generations wouldn't ride it.
  15. another reason I don't think CGA is going the route of GL: according to RCDB: http://www.rcdb.com/4541.htm that many coasters have been taken out according to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California%27s_Great_America#Past_rides If people had the internet back in the earlier times, I bet that all the reactions to a ride being taken out would be the same. I don't remember who said it, but CF is a business. IMO i dont think they have left CGA out to die. oh and firefall was relocated from GL.
  16. So here is my two cents about everyone saying CGA is going downhill and is going to end up like GL. I don't think that is going to happen. If anything it's going to end up like astroworld, though thats not my point. CGA has been having the noise complaints for years and has been battling the 49ners for ? years. Also look at SCBB thats been going for a century (as someone else has already stated) and from the SCBB forum thread they are taking down a building and rumored to be taking out hurricane. I think CGA is like SCBB its going to keep going. CF wouldnt have given new flat rides, retracking grizzly, tried to get a new custom woodie in 2008, expanded haunt to close it down. Let's trust CF and CGA if anything I'd be more worried about what the city of santa clara would make CF do
  17. IMO I am glad that the hurricane is getting taken out. A lot of people like it for nostalgia reasons but when i rode it a long time ago it actually messed up my neck that I still can't bend my neck properly all the way to the left. If they get rid of that building I think that it would be cool if they got a good small steal coaster. Kennywood in PA is small like SCBB and they got sky rocket: Now could they afford it? meh who knows. I guess my point is that a new steal coaster to replace the old one. Like it was said earlier i would think they would put in a wild mouse. if you look on rcdb they actually took out their wild mouse in the 1970's. I guess it's a wait and see moment.
  18. what if instead of a windseeker they get something like skyhawk and a compact coaster. skyhawk isn't to intimidating if your scared of heights (like me). Well I'm scared of heights in the form of drop towers and windseekers. Anyway.... what do you guys think a windseeker or a skyhawk type ride with a compact coaster
  19. Well I know im not going back to a 49ers game until after 2014. Candlestick park is horrible, while I was there a few years ago there were no cupholders, at all and getting to and from the stadium was a nightmare. As for CGA itself.. that place when down hill when they put in a water park, inside the park that you have to pay extra for. They also tore out northern california's ONLY flying roller coaster to make room for it. Since that water park has opened, one kid has already drowned and the flat rides, psycho mouse horrible. Well, psycho mouse isn't bad but the lines for it are simply too long due to the capacity of the ride. Same thing happens with tony hawk at SFDK. Well stealth was relocated to Carowinds and now named nighthawk
  20. yea i would like to see a new ride go in, attendance might also go up if they advertise like they did for haunt
  21. I work at an ice rink and nothing annoys me more than when people come up for skates and don't know their shoe size. It's like you have been wearing your shoes for years, you should know that by now. If it's a kid the parents should know but they have to look at the kid's shoe. It's like hellllloooo you buy the shoes for him/her.
  22. I used to be scared of going upside down, which is why I never went on coasters, but I got over that fear because of my boyfriend I actually do have a phobia of thunder and lightning. A phobia is defined as that your so scared it stops you from functioning. When thunder and lightning happens it is extremely hard for me to function and the only place i feel safe is in my car driving. Weird I know.
